Andrew and Djali Rosebud, young loves. High school sweethearts they married as soon as they were of age and left home to make it on there own. After travelling to a new town the two spent what little saving they had -and it was little- on a small plot of land. Well small to them, when they chose to marry early both of there very well off family's had disowned them. It might be tough with no money but they knew love would find a way, it always did in the story's.
Andrew had dreams of a large family and well Djali also wanted to settle down and have a family her dreams were much more...artistic. She wanted to see her art in museums and gallery's. To have her name talked about in the upper crust of the art circle.
Being to broke to eat the couple did what any normal young couple would do. They headed to the part for a leisurely day of...fishing!
Not exactly what Andrew had in mind when he came to this town, but if it would put some money in his pocket it couldn't be that bad, could it?
Aside from the smell, ugh, fishy.
Djali returned back to the park and traded the few fish she had caught for a single piece of canvass. It wasn't much but it was a stepping stone towards her dream...and a stepping stone towards the ultimate goal of proving there parents wrong and making it on there own.
Andrew cooked up some tasty hot dogs for dinner. He managed to find a sim to trade his fish too for a pack of the tasty mystery meat sticks that are oh so adored by children and adults the world over. It wasn't the best food, but it would fill two hungry stomach's and likely a few other park goers as well.
A few people joined them for there first meal away from home, someone even brought over some grilled fruit. As tasty as hot dogs are both Andrew and Djali decided to go with the healthier choice of grilled fruit or the evening meal.
Nothing better then a rock hard bench to spend your first night in town. It was so sweet of that child to spend the night with them too, but seriously, where are the parents?!
The next day saw Andrew back at the fishing well Djali continued to paint. She managed to sell her painting from the day before and made enough money to buy another canvass. It wouldn't be long before the pair had enough money to start applying for work...and maybe even buy a bed and a shower. they were both starting to get a little ripe.
A day of work brought in nearly 1000$ for the pair. It didn't take long for them to decide a shopping trip was in order and they raced off to the nearest super centre to spend that hard earned cash. A Bed a shower a toilet and an easel for Djali. Next up a fridge and stove and maybe a few walls.
Okay, so maybe just a pizza. A fridge and stove was a little out of the budget right now, but they needed food and they needed it now!
Djali continued to spend every waking moment painting up a storm, she knew she could land a job but Andrew had already taken a job and they desperately needed to get a computer. A Desk a chair, maybe a counter...and a fridge and stove!
A Finally a fridge and stove and even a mic for Andrew to practice his comedy skills. He never really knew what he wanted to be but when the job of comedian presented itself he jumped on it. He enjoyed making people laugh so this would be a breeze for him. Even if it did cut into his jogging.
Well it took a few days but they managed to erect some walls. Now they had a home to call there own. Yes it was small, yes it was missing furniture, but it was there own. They had both started new careers and they felt like they were well on there way to making a million....or at least in the next few generations they would be.

Surprise! Welcome Baby Ilianna Rosebud to the family. As if the budget wasn't already tight it just became a little bit tighter. Andrew and Djali were both overjoyed to bring home there new bundle of joy, if not a little stressed about the prospect of needing to add a new room. Oh well, love, love would make it all work out, right? That's what the story's say, so it has to be true!
Luckily they had a bit of money saved up from all the paintings and after paying the bills they expanded the house. Adding on a small office and a bedroom for Ilianna and one for Andrew and Djali even. It wasn't much, but it had four walls and the bed fit inside.
They even managed to scrape up enough for a television and a small living room set. It would be the perfect space for the small family to sit down and enjoy a movie together.
It wasn't long before Ilianna aged up, and boy was she full of questions, "Da, why don't I have a Grandma and Grandpa"
Andrew sighed as he looked over the monitor of his newly bought computer, "You do have Grandparent's Ily, they just live very far away."
Family dinner's are key to keeping everyone together. Talking about the day and exchanging idea's.
Until Andrews work shift changed of course. Now it's just Ilianna and Djali left at home to eat. It's not that Djali doesn't love her daughter, she just so badly wants to complete her dream of becoming a master of the arts. Luckily for her Ilianna took after her own creative ability. The child liked nothing better then to colour at her drawing table and sprinkle sparkles on EVERYTHING!
Djali made sure that Ilianna's homework was completed each night before letting her loose to play with her art supplies.
Well it had been a productive week, even if a new family member was added. The Rosebuds managed to keep there heads above water and even add to the home.

Djali continued to paint, her skill increased as did the fee she charged people for her work. Well she had no issue finding buyers for her work she was beginning to find it difficult to manage her home and family life. That little bump was starting to show and she had to find a way to tell her boss she would need to take family leave...again.
Andrew was enjoying his job in the Comedy field, he loved making people laugh. Although it took him away from Djali and Ilianna the late nights were worth the effort. He'd picked up woodcarving well waiting backstage one night and began to work on the skill at home. It would be cost effective to make his own furniture considering the prices of furniture at the stores.
Ilianna spent every free moment playing her violin. Well she enjoyed painting still as she grew up she found music was really more her thing.
Yet another dinner spent with mother and daughter, they were really beginning to feel the missing family member. It was nice to have alone time just the two of them, but Ilianna missed her father.
Djali's baby bump continued to grow and she finally called work and took family leave. She knew it was only a matter of time before the new baby would come.
Boy was she right! Later that afternoon well Ilianna was at school Djali felt the not so pleasant sensation. It was time for the baby to come. She rushed out the door to the hospital with Andrew at her side.
Welcome baby Minna to the family.

Seeing as how the Rosebud family was growing- as was the supply of cash- Djali and Andrew decided it was time to start adding to the house. They began renovations on the second floor adding two new bathrooms as well as finishing the walls. They still need paint and some flooring, but the house was starting to come together.
It was slow going, but at least they could say they had a developed second floor now. Maybe it wasn't perfect or complete, but it would fit the whole family and maybe a few extras. Who knew, maybe they would add one more bundle of joy, or maybe the girls would grow up to have children of there own.
Either way the house was really starting to come together. A few more weeks of saving and scrounging and they would be able to add lights and more windows maybe some flooring and wallpaper. Or maybe just maybe some furniture.
Minna grew into a child during the renovations and she had taken after Andrew. Her hair was bright red and she had beautiful green eyes.
Minna and Ilianna became fast friends. It was nice to have someone to play with finally and Ilianna enjoyed helping her little sister with her homework.
"Minna, you need to read the book before you answer the questions."
Meanwhile the late nights at the Comedy club were really beginning to wear on Andrew. It felt like ages since he had any time with his girls. Maybe if they saved up enough money they could take a family vacation. It wouldn't really help towards finishing the house, but it would help to remove some of the tension he was feeling. At the very least it was worth looking into.
Djali came down with some kind of sickness. All she wanted to do was eat grilled cheese and sleep. Maybe she was depressed? Spots covered her whole body, maybe she had spotty sickness? chicken pox? Blotchy skin? Was she allergic to something? I guess a doctor could have told her, but she just wanted to go to bed.
Renovations of course kept happening around the...mostly happy family...The exterior of the house got a little facelift and a few more windows were added. Maybe some sunlight would help to brighten everyone spirits.
Of course maybe just changing the colour of the house would help. That pink was an eyesore and really it made the house stick out in a bad way. I wonder how long until the neighbours start complaining? Can they petition the city to have it changed?
FINALLY!! The family actually got to sit down together for once, what a nice surprise. Andrew brought up his idea of a family vacation and the girls squealed in excitement.
"Oh! I have always wanted to go to the mountains," exclaimed Ilianna.
"Would we miss school? I have a test coming up," Minna sighed, "I could miss it, but hen my grades might fall. Who's child was she? Seriously, grades might fall?
Djali gave a slight cough as she shook her head, "Any vacation will have to wait. I've been meaning to tell you all but there just hasn't been a good time. I'm expecting again. Sometime soon you will have a new baby sister or brother. Maybe after the baby comes and is a little older we could go. It would be nice to get away for a while."
