I really hope we get the pool table back and it actually surprised me when they weren't part of the base game even though I went into the game with no real expectations.
Also, I forget but were pool tables part of the base game in TS3 or were they included in an EP?

The wiki says that pool tables returned to The Sims 3 in Showtime.
I miss them too. I want some sim having a game career like that. I miss the poker table more. I miss the pool table and the Dead Man's Hand Poker Table.

I thought pool tables come with Uni? Anyway, I want two, one pool table like we've had for public places and one fancy for rich sims with those net pockets and pretty felt colors and wood stains. I'd also like a rack for balls, sticks and other accessories to hang on the wall. And one of those low hanging stained glass ceiling lights that hang over a table. The one for bars could have those Budweiser horses on the top.

I thinking about upgrading from The Sims 3 to 4, but a breaking point for me: are pool tables availble in the sims 4? I hvant been able to find a decent anwser any where yet. Hope someone here could help me out, thx :)

Pool tables in a stuff pack is even more probable.
Most likely we will. They've been in every iteration. Hope to get them back as well along with the photobooth.

Yep! I was whinging about this just the other day. Anything that requires a lot of animation and variation seems to be verboten in this game.
So if you didn't buy university (this was also the pack that allowed you to play the YA stage) you didn't get to play with pool tables until Free time
A quote from the wiki "In The Sims 2, pool tables appear in the University (EP01), FreeTime (EP07), and Apartment Life (EP08) expansion packs."
The only game that had them in-game as a base game item was TS1.
