Will the Beloved trait be fixed?

Since The Sims 4's launch, the Trait Beloved has been bugged.

Beloved is supposed to prevent Relationship decay similar to the Super Friendly Challenge in The Sims 3 but it only works properly for only one Sim. If more than one Sim unlocks Beloved, the Trait's effect will only work for the Sim who recently earned the trait and stop working for the Sims who previously unlocked the Trait.

For example, if Bella Goth unlocks the Beloved Trait, it will work fine for her. If Mortimer unlocks the Trait, Bella's Relationships will now decay while Mortimer's Relationships won't decay.

Despite being reported since launch based on this thread at The Sims 4 Bug Reports, the problem still remains in 2016.

I was wondering that too...what is point of beloved trait if I still need to work so hard to keep my Sims' relationship not to be decay.

The March Update is released but I don't think the trait is fixed though.

I've not played the Sims4 in months due to this bug. I'm going to try checking in the next few days (I'm leaving for vacation soon, so may not be able to get around to it), to see if it's fixed in both my existing game and a new game. I was hopeful it was fixed after reading the below from the December Update:

•Create A Sim has had the underlying structure of how relationships are built and remembered overhauled.
•This has allowed us to close many issues that could result in the relationship data becoming lost or corrupted, which could break existing relationships (brothers could forget their sisters) and allow invalid relationships to exist.

But, it sounds like maybe this didn't fix the Beloved Trait bug (I would think that if it did, they would have called that out specifically, since it's a pretty big and annoying issue - well, at least for me).

I hope that 1.17 fixes the problem. This trait (possibly Player too) has been broken since Launch where the Trait doesn't work for Sims if more than 1 Sim unlocks the trait.

I'm thinking of doing a test to see how the bug occurs.

Now that 1.17 is released, I wonder if it's fixed (I'm probably gonna answer no since the patch notes don't mention the trait). Still the trait is bugged unless you use a Mod.

Try testing in your game and see if the issue remains, Sometimes issues are fixed, without it being mentioned in the notes. What helps one issue may also help another one.

Update 1.19 is out so I really wonder if the trait is still bugged because I still can't find any mention of the Beloved trait. It's possible bugs might be fixed even if they're not in the Patch Notes.

Well 1.20 is out but I don't think it's fixed. @crinrict still hasn't listed the bug as being fixed.

The Beloved trait has been bugged since launch and still hasn't been fixed making the trait "useless" since its no decay effect only applies to one Sim and doesn't work for the other Sims.

Another simmer has posted since the patch has been released , that the beloved trait hasn't been fixed.

1.23 is now released but I do not see any mention of the Beloved Trait being fixed. I've read in Answer HQ thread that the bug still remains in 1.21 (last post was August 8, 2016). This is jarring because Beloved is a useful trait but it's turned useless because it only works for one Sim causing other Sims that have the Trait to have their Relationships decay. Even 2 years later, the bug still remains.

I do not know if any SimGurus are aware because I'm sure EA would have noticed this by now. It would be nice that Beloved works as intended.

Sometimes all that is fixed in a patch is not listed in the patch notes, Try testing in game and see if the issue with the beloved trait still remains.

1.25 has been released but still no news about Beloved.

According to AFlyingNun in Answer HQ, this just doesn't occur if 2+ Sims in the same Household unlock but also if a Sim in another Household unlocks it so if Bella Goth unlocks Beloved but then Nancy Landgraab unlocks it, the trait will stop working for Bella so basically this only works properly for 1 Sim per save. Even making a new Household and unlocking Beloved will cause the glitch.

This means that only the last Sim to unlock Beloved will receive the benefit while other Sims with Beloved will lose benefit. I think Beloved is the only trait where the effect only works with 1 Sim as other traits like Steel Bladder don't have this issue.

I have noticed this happening too, but I sincerely thought I was just doing something wrong to make it happen. Nice to know they haven't fixed it in the TWO YEARS since it's been reported. This combined with ridiculous autonomous romantic interactions by married sims to other sims is making me really, really frustrated! I don't want my married couples to keep flirting with and kissing other people. I made those couples, they shouldn't be doing that unless I tell them to. The Romance Festival, while nice, has been an absolute nightmare. I've given up on my other households because I just can't keep up with all the relationships they're destroying.

It seems it's marked as fixed on the AHQ thread but I do not know if the bug remains since I haven't found any mention of Beloved on the patch notes. I have to start a new game anyway so I could test it.

I've tested it and had no issues.

One of the gurus posted in the thread saying it was supposed to be fixed.

I haven't had a lot of feedback which I found strange ...
