Custom Content and Windows 10

I'm having trouble downloading custom content onto the game...about half of it doesn't show up. Anyone else having this problem? I waited until after I downloaded Windows 10 for a few months to download Sims, so it's not like I upgraded while it was already installed on my system...about half the clothes, makeup, ect. is missing but still in the folder. It was all from The Sims Resource.

The cc may be broken and conflicting with the game. Since the latest patches, there has been many cc/mods that have become broken. Try going back to the pages where you downloaded them from and check to see if other simmers are having issues or if updated versions of the cc have been released.
Also, move your mods folder to the desktop. Start the game, and a new mods folder will be generated. Exit the game. Then put the cc back in to the new mods folder one by one and test to see if they appear. The new mods folder may help the issue if the cc is not broken and is appearing correctly in other simmers games.

Good to know, I'll try doing that. How do you move your mods folder exactly? xx

Hello.
Go to your sims 4 folder. Right click on the mods folder and use "cut" ( not " copy" ) to move the folder to the desktop. Click on a an area on the desktop and " paste" the mods folder there. Then do what I posted in the earlier post.

If you are having issues with cc/mods, go to game options and check that the " enable custom content and mods" button is ticked, which is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. If it isn't ticked, do that.Also check that the script mods allowed button is ticked as well. Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if the cc appears then .

Hi Hello I'm new here. I came to this website to get help with my issue. I have reset and reset my game constantly over cc. I reset the files repaired the game added the cc multiple times. It works after I repair the game and stops working when I use a sim that has been made with cc. After that neighbor screen doesn't show when I scroll over it and when I use my own sims to play and enter a new house the mood tab, the achievement tab and the little avatar icon on the bottom left doesn't even show. PLEASE HALP MEH. :'(

This sounds like you have not removed files (can include both mods and cc) that have broken with some recent patch.

The cc you are choosing to use on the sim you posted about would be a good place to start looking for things to remove from your game.

If you have a lastException.txt file in /Sims 4, you're welcome to bring it to us on MC Command Center's support Discord. We have MCCC-specific channels, and a General Support channel, also, where we try to help players having lastExceptions.
