@stilljustme2 Knitting ! That is such a good idea ! It would be great to be able to craft more things in the game, like knitting/sewing, doing pottery, flower arrangements... things to sell in general. Although that could be a game pack (with a market theme), or be spread over different expansion packs.

Could also add more hobbies -- shearing sheep to make wool for knitting/crocheting items, gathering eggs for sale, etc. A farmer's market where Sims can sell their wares, or maybe a country fair where they can have their items judged and win prizes.
I want all what you have mentioned. A farm life has lots of potential. I can see the grandma spending hours on her chair knitting with her cats playing around. morning will be all sheep, cows and roaster's sounds

I suppose I'd really like to see a 'service industry' pack to expand on the GTW idea. With the service industry, we can run a restaurant, our doctors or detectives could run private practices, we could run arcades with the ticket machine and I could build my fun park again using it as well. It would have elements of Bon Voyage and the food stands that would also turn a profit for the lot. Things like the wishing fountain, the pirate ship, a haunted house, face painting, photo booths, rides, games for the sims to play like "whack-a-mole" etc.
After that, I'd really like to see a Superstar pack where our celebrities are rare and only occur at the top level of those careers (model, singer/band, athlete, actor, etc.) and in that, we also get the option to play as the paparazzi.

I also really really really want a beach again It looks like we may be getting one in Get Together, but I want an ACTUAL beach where you can play in the sand, sunbathe, go in the ocean, etc.

Cars/Vacations.. Beaches (swimming in the ocean ), Las Vegas (hotels, Casino's, Amusement rides/ carnival games), winter wonderland vacation , skiing, ice skating, sledding, tobogganing, bear rug

Pets... Cats dogs, ferrets, bunnies, snakes, turtles, and lizards( with different aquariums you can buy to use for aquariums that u can buy for them). Pets should hsve to be fed unless you are on vacation. guinea pigs, hamsters and mice with appropriate homes to buy. Birds with various cages to buy
Medieval, with supernaturals , witches sorceror's, vampires and werewolves. Castle stuff, blacksmiths, horses
University
More vacations/ and living places. Cruise ship, vacations around the world.
I actually don't know but I want them to do something they haven't done before, but still add a bit of things from the previous series like sims 3,2 and 1 for the old fans.
SciFi - Have several places the rocket can land - have a home on the moon or Mars
University Life
FastLane - bring back cars if only to fill a garage and make out.
Amusement park - some place they can ride rollercoasters, bowl, buy junk food, skate, skate board,
More than anything, I want more things they can do together, which I hope Get Together solves. Fishing and gardening should not be solo tasks. You should be able to at least talk to someone while fishing or weeding. You should be able to play video games together, jam together - heck, even study rocks together!

It's a side of life they just teased us with in some store sets in Sims 3, and with horses. But for me, that chicken coop I bought had me really wanting to play full-on farmlife in Sims. I found myself imagining playing not suburban or city life but rural life: I wanted to have farms with animals of all sorts that were fully animated, and also with field crops and tractors. I wanted to be able to have a one-room active-play schoolhouse, and a county fair and farmer's market. Fruit and vegetable preserving, giant vegetable growing, hayrides, ... a whole side of life that we haven't fully had open to us in the game.
