So, I've hinted in the Creation thread that I'll be setting something up quite a bit ago. I finally found the time to. What I plan on doing, or actually what I have done, is cleared out a lot of the trees and such from a new game of Midnight Valley and removed all of the lots to customize it. The founder that I plan on playing has been away from Midnight Hollow for a very long time, and has come back to run Scary Sweets, owned by her great great Grandmother who was a Scary Berry Sim.

What I would love some help with is some creations - residential lots/community lots and sims to fill out each area of the map. I have designated each area and given a brief idea of what I was thinking of. The only thing missing is lot size, so I am a bit flexible right now as far the size, but I don't want oversized lots in each area. I will nail down more what I am looking for, but if you have an idea that you would like to contribute, please let me know.

I'll add to each post as I can with any new updates.

This is the street that the Graveyard is on, Grim's Ghastly Manor and I have decided to have the middle class here, as there is more room for lots. No lot sizes yet, as I still need to plan it out, but I am probably looking at having various sizes of middle class homes, ranging from affordable starter family homes (2 bedrooms) to no more than 80,000 simoleons. (That would be furnished).



These are some of the lots I have figured out so far:

Lot 1 - 20x15 - Looking for a starter home - 1 bedroom + 1 nursery
Lot 2 - 30x20 - Affordable Small Family Home - 3 bedrooms
Lot 3 - 40x20 - Family Home - no more than 80,00 simoleons or less.
Nectary - 20x15 - Nectary will probably be owned by one of the surrounding Family members
Lot 4 - 15x10 - 2 bedroom home.
Lot 5 - 35x25 - Family Home - 80,000 simoleons

Around the corner from the Middle Class is the Lower Class. Small Homes, ranging from 2-3 bedrooms and should look very rundown and a bit overgrown. Trailers/Trailer Parks would also not be amiss in this area. Again, I need to plan out the sizes.

This is the Shopping District and should also have some townhomes as well ranging from bachelor pads (single homes) to 3 bedrooms max. I probably won't be adding everything to the game, but I'll plan it out and decide.

This is one place I may place the founder and owner of Scary Sweets (the lone building in the shopping district). I have a few homes there now and one 10x15 home as well. I do plan on filling it in with more trees and I do plan on having a park (greenbelt) behind the group of three homes. Just need to figure out how much room I have. This one is more going to be a mix of homes of anyone brave enough to live near the Deadly Family

This is the other option of where I may put the Founder Home, although, I kinda feel like the family should make their way up to here, instead of giving them everything all at once. In which case, I may start them off in Lower Class and with each generation, have them move around the town. Just to keep things interesting.

High Class homes have no limits as to how much they cost, but I will have some smaller high class homes, and maybe another park. Plus there is also a beach as well.

This is more going to be a separate community. Some roughened homes, and a few Mom & Pop Shops so they don't have to go in town. The citizens that live here are going to have more bad traits than good ones.

Hey @LadyEmillye, how cool! I'm terrible with the forums and games, but I've recently made three homes in Midnight Hollow. They're all on the exchange, and I have interior pics if you're interested.

The second is a Midnight Hollow Funeral Home, http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8768578 , based on the old times, when the morticians used to live in the funeral home. There are interior pictures of that on my page @gnlovew .

I definitely like the idea of having a funeral home, so I'll definitely grab that for a spot near the graveyard. I'll keep the other two in mind. I'm doing some of the larger lots last.

hello @LadyEmillye , good project!! currently i am doing the same but for Bridge port! lol

before i have Midnight Hollow, i had created a lot fitted the world .. it is a commercial lot.
It is not very advanced build as i built it at 2013.. but you can check it in case of interest!

It definitely will. This is going to be center in the city and now that I have that, I may or may not keep the pond that Midnight Hollow had. The one on the street with the Middle Class/Graveyard.

So the market didn't work for the center of the shopping district so i was thinking a court yard surrounded by townhouses. I will work on what sizes i need tomorrow. The market is now on the road with the middle class.

@LadyEmillye I have to ask..the curiosity is killing me. What is a scary berry sim? I know what a berry sim is but a scary berry?..I am really curious.

Also I made a Victorian workhouse for my buddy in the last exchange...which was based on real workhouses in Victorian times..personally the lot gives me the creeps. However, if you like it, I could see it working in Midnight hollow as a house..I amaze myself at showcasing my creations, I really do.

As for Sims... another gift I made for my buddy but I think would fit in with Midnight Hollow is Willow who is haunted by her late husband...I don't think he got the message when she had him drown for his money...which she lost days later at the casino. Or so I've been told...lol

A Scary Berry is more like an Occult Berry, I just went with Scary Berry because the name of the restaurant is Scary Sweets. The coloring for the ones I'm going to make are going to be pale or dark, staying away from the brighter colors. I have some names for the founder to. I'm either going to go with Holly Berry or Yew Evergreen (because both produce poisonous berries). There are more, but those were two I was thinking of. I was also thinking either a vampire or a fairy Scary Berry as well. Depends on the name I choose, I may go with a werewolf scary berry cuz some of them have fuzz lol.
