*New* Fridge Issue - Sims can cook but cannot make Quick Meals

Desktop with plenty of room to play Sims4.
I am playing a new save that was just started a few (RL) days ago. The challenge I am doing requires to start with only the cooler, a tent and very basic stuff. I had finally earned enough for a fridge and got the Crisponex Adequate which is a step up from the basic one. All was well and since I had no stove yet my Sim was still eating a lot of Quick Meals and now some Salads. The fridge was updated a few times and then I noticed upon opening the fridge there were things that could not be deleted or consumed. It had about 3 Juices and about as many Cereal portions.
I pulled the Cooler back out of inventory and Quick Meals were available.

• I deleted the fridge and saved my game using Saved As.
• Quit the game and deleted all the cache and Scratch files.
• Repaired the game in Origin.
• Shut down then restarted my computer.
• Played with just the Cooler and no issues.
• Bought the Crisponex Splendid
• The issue remained.

• Repeated above steps.
• Quit the game and deleted all the cache and Scratch files.
• Repaired the game in Origin.
• Shut down then restarted my computer.
• When that did not work I created a new folder and put in a copy of my Save game folder.
• Just now checked and it is still an issue.

*Update* random check in other households and there is no issue with various varieties fridges.
Back to original lot and fridge still 'broken' IE Can coot but not Quick Meals.
Used in-game option to move via phone to Move Household.
New lot *so far* seems Okay.
Waiting to see what happens when fridge is upgraded. The Upgrade was the only thing that happened before the issue started.

I am glad that the fridge is working okay with the " quick meal " option on the new lot. I hope that the issue doesn't return for you.

Moving to a new lot was only a temporary fix. It did not last long.
After trying every suggestion I had ever read I had to ditch that save altogether.
Now I am playing a brand new save with a fresh folder and new household.

I am sorry that your game glitch returned and couldn't be fixed. I hope that you don't have any issues with your new save game file and new household .
