Welcome to my Sims 4 Quality Control Contest, this competition is a builders and designers contest. I love seeing how creative people can be and I have been a part of some wonderful competitions on these forums. I could only dream this competition becomes as popular as them but for now we will see how it goes.
My goal with this challenge is to see people improve, I started out having no idea how to build anything but a square box house. I started entering competitions and never dreamed I could build some of the things I have today, though I still have a lot to learn.
I see a lot of builds on the gallery that look wonderful on the outside but are lacking on the inside with decor or simply play ability with sims so this competition is all about Quality.
There is 3 parts to the Quality Control Contests
Quality Control Contest (Bi-weekly/fortnightly)
Quality Control Monthly Contest
QC Create A Room Contest (Bi-weekly/fortnightly)

QC Competiton Guide
If you are new to the competitions or thinking about entering I highly suggest checking out the QC Competition Guide, it has tons of helpful information that pretty much explains what we look for in entries. It's kind of like cheating because we tell you what you need to win haha.
You can find it here: QC Competition Guide

PRACTICE CHALLENGES
Quality Control Practice Challenges are to help people learn about all aspects of building, decorating and landscaping. It is also a place for more experienced players to share their knowledge
Please check out the Quality Control Practice Challenges HERE

This competition challenge will run for 2 weeks each.
The challenges will specify the lot sizes and budgets but they will be between:
Lot sizes: 30x20 to 40x30
Budgets: 80k - 300k

You also have the option to enter just for fun without being judged, there will be no feedback. Just simply enter as an unofficial entry and share your amazing creations with us.

There are 4 levels you can enter in this contest:
Intermediate - For newer players and new people entering the qc competitions
players that tend to have placement issues, that are still learning the tips and tricks to placement and still learning to be really creative.
Experienced - For those players that have been building for a while, can use moo and ALT
have an understanding of placement and play ability and experiement with creativity
Advanced - For those more confident players that can be super creative, great attention to detail, little to no placement and play ability errors.
Unofficial - For those players who just want to have some fun, entries will not be judged.

We love our Novice (beginner) builders and we offer building tips and advice in our feedback to help you learn and improve, so please don't feel overwhelmed entering the only way to improve and learn is to jump and have a go. Novices please enter the Intermediate level and note on your entry form you are a novice.

    Just for fun challenge
This time every year after Christmas us judges take a well earned break from judging. Instead of not hosting a challenge we have decided to hold a just for fun challenge which will not be judged. Everyone that enters will receive a maxis nomination and a banner for their efforts.

    Holiday
We all need a holiday at some point and sometimes it can be tough deciding where to go. Everyone here at Quality Control deserves a well earned holiday for all your efforts over the past year so we have decided to treat you to your dream trip.
What we need from you is to show us where you would like to go, so put together a brochure showing us your dream destination and where we are going to send you on your well deserved holiday.
It can be anywhere you like as we know everyone has different tastes in scenery. It could be a tropical island, or a trip to the country side, maybe a lavish hotel, or a ski resort whatever is your dream we want you to show us. The destination must be equipped for guests to stay for the duration of their holiday. Oh and did I mention we will be joining you on your holiday!

    Your task:
Build your holiday dream destination and create your brochure (which is your entry form) and show us where you would like to go on your holiday.

    Budget: 90k - 300k (on gallery price)
not eligible if out of budget range

    Lot Size: 30x20 or 40x30
not eligible if on wrong lot size

    Lot Type:
    Your choice of destination

    Requirements:
A holiday destination equipped for sims to stay for the duration of their trip

We like to see creativity so adding things that are unique to your entry will help with your scores.

    No CC allowed
Everything must be playable by Sims so make sure you sim test as you will lose points if it is not.
Make sure you have all necessities that a sim needs in the lot type for this challenge.

Jingle Kringle Cottage is a great little cottage for the Kringles, we love the festive look with the colors used.
Exterior: Very festive exterior we love all the holiday wreaths and the Christmas trees on the roof.
Landscaping: Beautiful landscaping, the terrain painting looks natural and beautiful. Kristoff loves his wonderful tree farm with the great windy paths leading him around the trees. He also loves that you supplied a retail counter and register for selling his trees. Both the Kringle's love the beautiful choice in flowers and placement around the garden, the great fountain, the relaxing bbq area, the pool and pond
Interior: The Kringle's absolutely love the beautiful festive color scheme you used through out their cottage and stables. Great use of different wall and floor coverings through out and a great homely cottage style. The layout of the house is very easy to play and use and the rooms are very creatively laid out. Mrs Kringle was so happy with her stables for the reindeer's which even included a cosy fireplace to keep them warm.
Decorations: The house is very festive and well decorated through out and great clutter decorating rooms and areas. We didn't find any area looking bare.
Creativity: Fantastic creativity you have such a great unique touch to your ideas and the way you show them in your builds. We love the stables and the creative way you built them and also the creative use of color through out showing their love for the festive season.
Night view: Night time looks beautiful with those lit up trees, lamp posts and exterior lights lighting up the wonderful Holiday wreaths.
Overall a wonderful house for the Kringle's you captured their life long love for Christmas
    Critique
The roof pieces on the little side silo's don't match the shape and it looks quite odd having the pieces sticking out under the roofing. Make sure to match them up and look neat with the underneath structures.
The wood wall coverings mixed with the rock wall coverings didn't really flow well with each other being two completely different types, it looks great breaking up the walls with more than one type but just make sure they suit each other. Using the different colored woods as you did on the stable would have been a better choice.
3 x "Holiday Wreath" and "Holiday Garland" attached to the "Homely Retail Counter" have dropped into the ground.
Night view: We would of liked to see a bit more lighting used around the garden such as the pathing around the trees, the little sitting area outside the bbq area and the vegetable patch.
    Tips:
Think out your design a bit more for example with the Silo's they would have been better if you kept them separate from the house and not joined the walls, matched their shape and made the roofing sit properly over the underlying building shape.
Debug ponds take up a lot of space and we would rather see you create your own or fill with landscaping you designed, it will give you higher landscaping scores. For example instead of the small pool and debug pond you could of created a custom pond with the pool tool made it look natural with stones and plants around the edges, added a fishing sign to make it fishable and it could also be swam in.

    @Nore WPBu687.png
Kringle Kottage is adorable what a lovely cottage for the Kringles.
Exterior: The design is fantastic and look amazing. We love the great shape of the cottage and stables. The roofing looks great with several pieces being used together and the white trim really makes it stand out. Some great decorations on the exterior and we also love the choices of windows that go very well together.
Landscaping: The landscaping looks great with some wonderful detail with the terrain painting. The nativity scene looks wonderful and Kristoff loves his little tree farm with the creative fencing shaped into a tree. The pond was a great idea for some fishing for the sims.
Interior: Beautifully styled interiors with a great interior design, the Kringle's love the warm and cosy feeling to this cottage. Mrs Kringle loves the stables for her reindeer's and that they have outdoor access from them.
Decorations: Great decorating, every area feels well decorated and cluttered with a great lived in feel. The train set looks amazing as well as all the festive decorations which shows their love of the Christmas season.
Creativity: Absolutely fantastic creativity, we loved seeing all the little amazing ideas such as the fish wall decoration used as wings on the dancing statues to make them look like angels, also the LED Accents used to create reindeer antlers and our favorite the reindeer's on the roof with the sleigh.
Night view: The lit trees look beautiful at night as does the great lighting around the Nativity Scene, stable entrance and tree farm area. We would like to see more exterior lighting on each level of the building and also around the garden.
Fantastic creativity, design and decorating through out this wonderful cottage.
    Critique
Please use the correct hashtag on the gallery upload from the challenge brief
The landscaping is lacking in detail in some areas and looks a bit bare planning budget a bit better to be able to decorate all areas is suggested
The few placement issues I did find in the Nativity Scene and listed below I felt could have easily been avoided
2 x "Delphinium" plants sticking into curtains.
2 x "Corp McCraken" are sticking into the "Decorative Presents"
"Four Festive Candles" are sticking into "Corp McCraken"
Enlarged "Hollyhocks" are sticking into "Tastefully Overgrown Fence"
Fireplace can't be lit as train set in the way
2 x "Half-Hearted Hospitality Mat" are sticking under the door frames which is unrealistic
"Vault wall cabinets" in hallway is sticking into "Little Pillar" column
"Caress Coffee Table" is sticking into curtains in hallway
"Non de Plume Antiqued Rug" is sticking under column and stair railing in hallway
Oven can not be used as Christmas tree is blocking access
"Simplicity Dining Table" is sticking into window frame in dining room
Toilet in ensuite bathroom is not usable as bath blocking access
The wash basin is not usable because laundry hamper is blocking access
Sims get stuck in part of the bathroom because you have used a double sized doorway and then blocked half of the doorway with the bath, curtains and hamper. Removing door and wall here would of fixed.
As we found more than 15 placement and play ability errors we stop looking and listing.
    Notes:
I have placed you in the Intermediate level purely based on the placement and play ability errors, once this has improved I feel you will be moving up the levels.
We love the creativity using more than one object to create something new but we are very picky on placement so make sure other items aren't sticking into solid objects. If we feel it could of been done cleanly then we will critique.
We like to see things as realistic as possible so things like rugs sticking under door frames or solid objects such as counters, showers, baths, toilets extra will be critiqued.
We encourage good placement to avoid items being unusable and we suggest sim testing that everything works before uploading.

Kringle Farms is amazing what a great fancy looking farm for the Kringle's
Exterior: What a unique and spectacular looking house and stables, fantastic design and impressive roofing. We love the little porches on each and the great mix of wall coverings, windows and roofing decorations used.
Landscaping: Fantastic landscaping with great use of the available space and detailed terrain painting. Kristoff loves all the Christmas trees growing on the lot and also the decorated trees out the front advertising his sales. Mrs Kringle is so happy to see you provided her with a great little green house as well as growing produce outside. She is also over the moon that her reindeer's have access to a beautiful paddock outside their stables. Kristoff also loves that you included a truck for him to deliver trees to customers.
Interior: Beautiful interiors with a great festive color scheme and great style. Lovely design and layout of the house and the stables look amazing. Great large lounge with the Christmas tree and cosy fireplace and lovely large dining area decorated for Christmas. The interiors feel very warm, inviting and cosy which is great for the country cottage style they were after.
Decorations: Great decorating with lovely festive themed rooms. It was great to see some fantastic realistic touches such as the hose on the wall for the gardens, the gardening equipment in the greenhouse and the mouse trap in the barn. Great use of rugs to beautify the rooms and break up the flooring and great festive decorations in the bedrooms.
Creativity: Wonderful creativity with the spectacular stables and paddock, we loved seeing the water trough and beds for the reindeer's. Great idea for the truck with the tree and the holiday wreaths placed on doors and windows.
Night view: Beautiful night view, we love how well you lit up the front of the house, don't forget to continue the lighting on all sides of the house and all of the gardens as the back garden and some parts of the house were very dark.
Fantastic farm for the Kringle's even though you didn't use all the budget you did well using the space.
    Critique:
The Christmas tree on the back of the truck has dropped down so you can see the underneath it was hard to see in the pics if you had raised it enough to hide the underneath.
"Trashe Cann" bin at rear is sticking into back porch
"Mirror Me!" is sticking into wall
    Tips:
With stairs leading up to another level its looks much better to put fencing as railing on the upper level so it doesn't just look like a hole that sims could fall down.

    @Laebeth xu6cded.png
Flagstad Farm is a wonderful farm for the Kringle's.
Exterior: Fantastic exterior house and stables, we love the regal looking house and the huge stables. Great wall decorations over and under the windows and great choices in window types. The different wall coverings look great and the red really gives a great pop of color. The stable ramp and open doors look great as does the little side entrance and rear door for the reindeer's.
Landscaping: Great landscaping with a beautiful variety of flowers and plants in different garden beds. Great detail in the terrain painting to make the gardens look natural. Kristoff loves is amazing Christmas tree farm and that you included a register close by for him to sell to customers. Mrs Kringle loves her vegetable garden already growing fresh produce.
Interior: Beautiful interiors with the great soft color scheme and style. Great open living and design though rooms a big large its a great layout.
Decorations: Great decorating with some fantastic realistic touches such as the dirty laundry, the great entrance hall with mail on the table, hose on the wall and the barn with the boxes and broom. The reindeer's are amazing and look so cute in their stables and the car and truck were a great touch. We love the festive touches around the house with the holiday wreaths, presents, dining table, snowmen and candles.
Creativity: Fantastic creativity with the barn and the ramp leading up to the 2nd floor. Also great design of the barn and rear entry for sims and for reindeer's. We also loved the great creative tree sales area and the stumps in the fenced off tree area showing some have been chopped down and sold.
Night view: Beautiful night view, all areas of the house, stables and garden are lit up well.
Great house for the Kringles with fantastic placement and creativity.
    Critique:
The interior looked a little bare in places, such as the area after between the Christmas tree and dining table and overly spacious study. With some budget left over it was possible to fill these areas.
For a cottage it didn't quite have the cosy feel being so big and spacious.
    Notes:
This was a great house and I was conflicted about bumping you up for this, your placement was spot on, great creativity but it was lacking a little in design for its overly spacious and grand size house for a cottage challenge. Also the roofing was quite plain. It was very beautiful but these were the only areas lacking to bump you up this challenge.

    @Liz_GoBucks xu6cded.png
    Country Farm Cottage
Exterior: What a pretty white cottage with a great unique design. The bay window and little balcony look wonderful and we love the little porch. The stable looks fantastic and great that you mixed up the colors to be different from the house, we also love that there is a porch on the stable to match the great cottage. Great window choices with a nice variety that flow well together and great custom made chimney.
Landscaping: The gardens are beautiful with a great balance through out. The terrain painting is detailed and looks very natural. The windy path with flowers and lights lining it looks amazing and the garden beds looks beautiful with such great vibrant flower choices. Great variety of trees around the gardens and Kristoff loves his fenced off Christmas tree farm area. Mrs Kringle loves her fresh produce growing in the rear garden and the great paddock area you supplied for her reindeer's.
Interior: Beautiful interiors that are warm, welcoming and cosy which is perfect for the Kringle's. Great layout of the house, we love the open style living with the kitchen, dining and lounge rooms and the beautiful color scheme. The upstairs is great and very easy to play layout. Fantastic stables with each reindeer having its own stall.
Decorations: Beautifully decorated house with some nice clutter touches and decorations. All the wall decorations and pictures suit the country style of living perfectly and all the plants and flowers add a great splash of color.
Creativity: Creative landscaping in the vibrant choices in flowers and the beautiful flower lined path. The stables are amazing and we love the creative little paddock fenced on the side.
Night view: Stunning night view of the house and garden especially the lit up path leading around the house and to the front door. There was a few spots lacking lights that were needed to really complete the night view such as the rear of the house had no exterior lights, the top levels of the house needed some lighting, the left side of the house and some of the exterior walls on the stables.
Fantastic house for the Kringle's, well balanced with every area being decorated and detailed.
    Critique:
"Oopsa Daisies" are sticking into "Faux Pas Path Light" make sure with garden lights they are placed where no flowers are sticking into them.
The lattice roofing at the rear over the patio looks a bit strange sticking into the roofing (see tips)
    Tips:
To fix the roofing issue with the lattice roof sticking into the normal roof would be to select the roofing and shorten the over hang pieces that meet the lattice roofing. As you only want to shorten the side of the roofing piece that meets the lattice you hold shift down while adjusting the overhang length. Christmas Country Home looks fantastic and with its matching stables, what a great place for the Kringle's to retire.
Exterior: The exterior looks great with the red walls, white trims and brown roofing. It is very striking against the snowy landscaping. Great design, we love the wrap around porch and the stables that look like a great mini version of the house.
Landscaping: Kristoff loves all the great Christmas trees growing around the lot and the fantastic fenced in area for the trees that are ready to be sold. They both love the festive trees with lights that look magical in the evening. The snow was nice and looks great but they really were hoping for a warmer climate maybe so they could work on a tan. Mrs Kringle loves all the planter boxes and also the herbs growing in the pots on the back patio.
Interior: Beautiful interiors with their festive color scheme and great layout and design. Great use of rugs and different floor covering to break up the areas and add some great decoration to the rooms. Fantastic kitchen design with the large island counters and lovely large dining table.
Decorations: Beautiful festive decorations through out the house, we especially loved the Christmas tree and presents on the porch and the paint by reference looks amazing (no extra points as not created by yourself). It was great to see so much festive wall decorations in each of the rooms and also on the exterior structures. Mrs Kringle loves the bags of feed left outside the stables for her reindeers.
Creativity: The stand out creativity for us was the great little stables looking like a mini version of the house with its matching colors and walls. Great design and the house also having a great creative design and layout. We also loved the little fenced in sales area for the Christmas trees.
Night view: All the lit up trees look amazing at night as well as the lights and posts. Parts of the exterior of the house are very dark and placing lights on the different levels to lighten them up would have improved the night view. Some parts of the garden are a bit dark.
Beautiful house for the Kringle's with so much festive love for this Christmas loving couple.
    Critique:
All the snow around doesn't fit the brief of the Kringle's moving to a warmer climate
It would have been nice to see some produce growing in the planter boxes for Mrs Kringle
"Pre-strung Tree of Lights" is sticking into stables roof
"String of Snowflakes" is sticking into window frame (2nd level) an is also sticking into mid air not attached to anything
"Lights and Posts" is sticking through friezes (moving it back a tile would of prevented it)
The landscaping would of been more detailed with some garden beds and some detailed terrain painting.
    Tips:
Make sure to check your night view, we like to see all sides of the house and levels lit up with some exterior lights and also the gardens. The lights also double as great decoration.
I felt the landscaping was lacking some detail and some areas lacking some clutter such as the kitchen though you did use the budget to the max I feel you need to build smaller if working with a tough budget to allow all areas to be detailed and decorated. The house was quite large for the brief asking for a cottage and just sticking to a 1 bedroom for the couple would have given more budget to work with.

Holiday Hiatus is a gorgeous cottage that the Kringle's love.
Exterior: What an amazing exterior design that's unique and beautiful. The white trims and friezes look stunning against the red brick walls and match the white fencing perfectly. Lovely design with the tower and the rear balcony and we love the window choices. The cosy front porch is great especially lined with those elegant spandrels.
Landscaping: Nice landscaping with some pretty flowers and plants. The terrain paint looks very natural and adds some nice change in color to the ground. Kristoff loves his little Christmas tree farm and loves that he has trees of all different sizes growing. Mrs Kringle loves her vegetable garden with some great choices in produce growing already. They also love the great little campfire and bbq area in the rear garden.
Interior: Beautiful interior style well suited to this house and what a great design and layout. The color scheme is very warm and cosy with a great touch of festive red in the lounge. We love the open arch window looking from the lounge into the tv room and the cosy fireplace. Great walk in closet from the lounge and wonderful spacious kitchen for Mrs Kringle to enjoy her baking. The extra baking room upstairs is any baking lover's dream and a wonderful idea to include for Mrs Kringle.
Decorations: Beautiful decorations and clutter through out the house, we love the items placed on top of the cabinets and the wonderful clutter in each of the rooms really giving a lived in feel to the house. Fantastic Christmas decorations in the lounge, we love the presents table with the presents and crackers.
Creativity: The design of the house is great and very creative, we love the reindeer's each in their stables and all the creative clutter placement to make the house lived in. We love the creative extra baking room for Mrs Kringle.
Night view: What a beautiful view with each story of the house having lights to really show its beauty at night. The lit up tree in the front yard looks wonderful and some nice lighting around the camp fire area. The gardens were lacking some lighting in places and the stables needed lighting on the exterior.
Beautiful cottage with a great unique design the Kringle's will love living out their retirement here.
    Critique:
We would of loved to see some curb appeal with some flowers/plants placed on the outside of the fencing. Also the landscaping needed a little more effort/detail around the garden with some areas seeing a bit bare and empty (see tips).
The stable roof looks to be floating in mid air and not attached to the columns, I was a bit unsure why this has happened as in your picture it isn't floating. Also all the saucer lights have dropped to the ground.
The wall coverings in the little crevices you have blocked off and also the towers feel incomplete with drywall being left.
    Tips:
To help your landscaping scores try and dress up the gardens especially if using just one type of fencing to surround the boundary of the lot it can look quite plain. Shaping your fencing in a creative way and placing some plants, flowers, rocks or decorations on the outside of the fencing can really give your build more appeal and will add to your landscaping scores.
When using planter pots and boxes it looks much more decorative to fully grow trees and plants in sim play mode before uploading.
Plan to build a bit smaller to accommodate the budget and to balance out your decorating in each area.

Mistletoe Cottage is such a beautiful cottage for the Kringle's to retire in.
Exterior: Gorgeous exterior with a classic cottage design, we love the great front and rear porches, great dormer windows, lovely window choices, wonderful custom chimney and fantastic stables which suit the house perfectly.
Landscaping: Beautiful landscaping with some great detail in the terrain painting, wonderfully colorful garden beds, gorgeous white picket fencing and great parking area for the cars. We love the fantastic Christmas tree area for Kristoff with the variety of sizes of trees. Mrs Kringle loves her fantastic greenhouse and amazing variety of growing produce. What a lovely backyard with relaxing seating and beautiful pool. Mrs Kringle loves the small paddock in front of the stables for the reindeer's to enjoy some outside time and she loves the great variety of trees.
Interior: Gorgeous interior in the cottage with great style and beautiful color scheme. The layout and design is fantastic and easy to play. Mrs Kringle loves her kitchen with its creative oven area design and also she loves the cosy dining area with the fireplace.
Decorations: Great decorations inside and out. Great clutter with items such as the mail on the desk, kitchen clutter on the counters, books, letters and other various items lying around making the house feel lived in. Great use of plants to add great splashes of color and great use of rugs to add patterns and color to different rooms.
Creativity: Great creativity in the layout and design of the lot, house and stables. The greenhouse was a great idea and the clutter and decorations with the gardening tools and other items look fantastic. The stables look great especially with the creative touches of hay and equipment. Creative use of the lights on strings around the tree area and across the porch.
Night view: The lights on strings around the Christmas tree area, greenhouse and vegetable patch look amazing at night and also lining the rear porch. Remember we look for all areas and levels of the exterior to be well lit at night.
Fantastic cosy cottage for the Kringles with a fantastic design on the tree farm, vegetable garden and stables.
    Critique:
"Shaggi-luscious" and "Pink Aster Nots" flowers are sticking into foundation
Night view is a little dark in some spots of the exterior and garden

    @emere xu6cded.png
Merry Xmas 2017 is such a great festive cottage for the Kringle's.
Exterior: What a fantastic exterior it is so fun and festive. Fantastic design with great roofing, great choices in the wall coverings and great decorations. Great bay window designs and we love the pretty tower shape at the front. Great choices in window types and great stables.
Landscaping: Amazing landscaping with such beautiful colors and design. Great use of the space on the lot with wonderful detailed terrain painting. The natural pond is a great addition and Kristoff is so happy that he can relax and enjoy some fishing. He also is amazed at his wonderful Christmas tree farm with fully decorated trees ready to sell to customers and a variety of tree sizes growing in the back. He loves the fantastic outdoor shop you created for his trees with the colorful lights, decorations and register ready for all the tree sales. Mrs Kringle loves her amazing vegetable garden with all that produce already growing. She loves the variety of foods growing and the wonderful gardening tools and supplies nearby.
Interior: Beautiful interior decorated in the festive colors that the Kringle's love so much. The house is also a perfect size for the cosy cottage that they really wanted. Great layout and design with a beautiful style and furnishings. Some great activities included for them to enjoy and a great cosy lounge in front of the fireplace for them to relax and watch some tv.
Decorations: Beautifully festive decorations inside and out. Great clutter, great colors and fantastic decorations that suit this cosy cottage.
Creativity: Some great creative touches found around the lot such as the fantastic interior on the stables with the great flooring and decorations with the paw prints. The wonderful water troughs for the reindeer's, the great natural pond, the realistic clutter around such as the gardening tools, mail and sales signs. We also love that you supplied a great little paddock area for the reindeer's to enjoy some outside time grazing. It was great to see all the little animals amongst the growing Christmas trees.
Night view: The colorful lights around the Christmas tree sales area looks amazing as well as the exterior lights on the front of the house brightening up the colorful garden beds below. Remember we judge night view and look for all areas to be well lit.
Fantastic Kringle cottage that is beautifully festive, fun and creative.
    Critique:
The tower style roof at the front is sticking into the house roofing and looks a bit unclean.
Night view is quite dark in areas of the exterior and the gardens
    Tips:
Remember to really light up the place for night view, the lights double as decoration and lining your paths, flower beds can really bring a magical view. Also adding exterior lights to all levels of the house can add to an amazing night view.

    @FailthofKaela SvKFZyt.png
Christmas Tree Cottage is beautiful what a great farm for the Kringle's.
Exterior: Great exterior design of both the house and the stables, we love the creative roofing on both and that you used different colored and type of roofing for each. Great window choices and we love the stable doors being open and the great ramps to the stables. The custom made chimney looks fantastic.
Landscaping: Fantastic landscaping, we love the detailed terrain painting around the different areas and paths and fantastic layout and design of the gardens. Mrs Kringle loves all her growing produce placed in such a beautiful area with the great bbq section and relaxing seating area. She loves the colorful flower beds lining the fencing and that it is fenced in to give her some privacy. What impressed her the most was the great little paddock that you supplied for her reindeer's to enjoy like their own little piece of heaven. Kristoff was amazing at his Christmas tree farm, he loves the great path leading up to the area, the beautiful lights surrounding the fencing, all the different sized trees and even a decorated Christmas tree on display and also a convenient cash register for all his tree sales.
Interior: Beautiful interiors with a great homely feel, great style and color scheme. Great layout of the house which is very easy to play and move around with the Kringle's and the size is perfect for this couple who wanted a nice cosy cottage.
Decorations: Fantastic decorations and especially clutter around the house giving it a great lived in feel. Beautiful use of rugs and plants to bring great pops of color and patterns. The festive decorations look beautiful especially the small Christmas tree on the shelf and dining table. Great clutter on the kitchen counters, bathroom and dressing table which really give this house great character.
Creativity: We loved seeing all the great little creative touches such as the custom patterned flooring, the great little roof garden, the custom made chimney and the fantastic and creative stable design. We also love the realistic touches found around the house such as the plunger, sponge in the bath, items on top of the fridge and gardening supplies and tools.
Night view: The hanging lights look very beautiful at night as do the candles in the bbq area. A lot of the build and garden is very dark at night and we do judge night view. Exterior lights all around the exterior of the buildings and around the garden provide a great night view and also double as decoration.
What a fabulous build we love the overall layout and design of the gardens and the house which was perfect size for the requirement of a cottage. We also loved the design of the stables and great creativity and decorating we found through out. This was one of our favourite entries you just need to fine tune your placement.
    Critique:
Night view is quite dark through out the exterior and gardens.
"Dull Daisies" are sticking into solid rock (under sign)
2 x "The Woven Way" rug are sticking underneath door frames which is unrealistic to have rugs sticking under solid structures
"The Landlord Whisperer" stereo and "Decorative Presents - large" are sticking into curtains
"Casual Country Curtains" are sticking through counters and sink in the kitchen
"My Parents Knick Knacks" is sticking into 2 curtains
    Tips:
There is quite a few items very close to or slightly sticking into curtains so just be careful when placing anything near curtains.
When budget is left we look to see if any areas look bare, to help with your decoration scores which includes detail and bare areas its best to try add some decoration or detail in any area lacking. We found that some extra landscaping could have been added in areas such as behind the stables and right side of house though we did not critique as it was quite well balanced but wanted to mention just so you could keep it in mind to look for these areas

Feedback is in no particular order.

The aspirations and traits we were looking for are:
    Aspirations:
Kristoff - Friend of the World
    Mrs Kringle - Freelance Botanist
    Traits:
Kristoff - cheerful, good & outgoing
Mrs Kringle - foodie, good & neat

I was also looking for both sims to be plump, elderly and both wearing glasses for most of their outfits

    @Ainsleyf
The Kringle's look fabulous which their cheery dispositions and beautiful festive styled outfits. Congratulations on guessing all the correct traits and aspirations. Great style and outfits for both sims I loved seeing all the Christmas colors used and I loved Jessica's party outfit. Beautiful make up changes on Jessica and some great hairstyles on both sims. Some great accessories on both sims complimenting their outfits and I loved that they both had their glasses on for so many of their outfits. It was great to see them both looking so cheerful and jolly, on the plump side and elderly. Great sims that really show their love for the festive season.
    Critique:
Jessica's everyday and swimwear outfit hairstyles have a shorter fringe that the other hairstyles

    @Liz_GoBucks
The Kringle's are fantastic with a great sense of style and friendly features.
Congratulations on guessing all of the traits and one of the aspirations we were looking for.
It was great to see both Mr and Mrs Kringle had their glasses on for all outfits, that they were both plump and elderly. Kristoff looks great with his traditional beard and jolly disposition and Mrs Kringle looks like a cheerful lady that would befriend anyone. Her makeup looks very beautiful and the changes suit her outfits very well. Both their accessories look great and compliment their outfits very well, we especially liked the hats on Kristoff and the colors of the accessories matching Jessica's outfit colors. Fantastic sim entry I loved how cheery they both looked and wonderful outfits.
    Critique:
You missed out on Mrs Kringle's Freelance Botanist aspiration
Kristoff's hairstyles for his Party and Athletic outfits is alot shorter than his other hairstyles
    Notes:
If you are having trouble with hairstyle changes especially for the men you only need to have 3 different styles throughout all the outfits. Just try keep the lengths and fringe lengths as similar as you can

    @coolsim9999999
The Kringle's look fantastic with this quirky style and cheerful and jolly features. Congratulations on guessing 5 of the 6 traits and 1 of the 2 aspirations we were looking for. I loved all their outfits embracing their love for Christmas and festive colors as well as their wonderful quirky style. I loved seeing that you created them both plump with Kristoff having a jolly belly. I also loved seeing them both wearing their glasses in all their outfits, both being elderly and having jolly and cheerful features. Great sims showing their great Christmas presence.
    Critique:
You missed out on Mrs Kringle's Freelance Botanist aspiration
You missed out on Mrs Kringle's foodie trait
Jessica's hair length changes quite dramatically through her outfits and needed to be kept of similar lengths
    Notes:
If you are having trouble with hairstyle changes you only need to have 3 different styles throughout all the outfits. Just try keep the lengths and fringe lengths as similar as you can

The Kringle's look amazing with their joyful looks and festively colored outfits. Congratulations on guessing all the correct traits and aspirations. They both have some great style and really have embraced the Christmas colors in each of their outfits. Mrs Kringle has some lovely and subtle make up changes complimenting her outfits. Both their accessories are great, I love the fun you had with the hats and the other accessories look great with their outfits. I loved seeing them both wear their glasses so much, also that they are both on the plump side and elderly. They both look very friendly and cheerful in their features which suits their story and showing their festive love in their colored outfits. Great sims with great festive spirit.
    Critique:
Mrs Kringle had no hair under her hat for her sleepwear outfit and her fringe lengths do change quite a bit in some hairstyles
Mr Kringle had no hairstyle changes

    @kimartist
The Kringle's are such a friendly and cheerful looking couple especially Kristoff with his amazing smile and portly belly that I'm sure jiggles when he laughs. Congratulations on guessing 5 of the 6 traits and 1 of the 2 aspirations we were looking for. I loved all their outfits especially seeing so much red and Kristoff keeping his love for Christmas in his style. Jessica looks beautiful with her lovely makeup changes to compliment her different outfits and both have some lovely hairstyle changes. All the accessories look great and match their outfits. It was great seeing how both had their glasses on for nearly all of their outfits, that they were both on the plump side, eldery and both looking so cheery in their features. Great entry and sims which really fit the role of the Kringle's with their happy features.
    Critique:
You missed out on Mrs Kringle's Freelance Botanist aspiration
You missed out on Mrs Kringle's neat trait
Some of Kristoff and Jessica's hairstyle changes didn't match in fringe lengths

I saw your link to this thread in the Gazette thread @Cbear13 but once again, I didn't get any notification from you tagging me in this thread. I wonder if something is wonky with notifications right now... You might want to contact people individually (although I know it's a pain). I won't be able to participate in this round, but I'll keep an eye on the thread for future challenges. More competition threads = more challenges, more variety, and more fun, so I'm all for it. :)

This sounds like a fun idea, @Cbear13! I'm not sure if I'll be able to participate in this first challenge but will certainly give it a try. One week is always hard for me... I'm such a s-l-o-w builder. :p
