I'm really frustrated with the Sims 4. I have a brand new Asus ROG computer with Windows 10. When I try to open The Sims 4 with either Origin or from the shortcut icon as Administrator, I get the following error message: "The Sims 4 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly...." I've tried some of the suggested fixes. Nothing seems to work. Any new suggestions? This computer doesn't have a lot of anything else loaded on it that should interfere.
Kat.
also go to the asus web , search your make and model laptop and make sure all your drivers are updated. The sims 4 will sometimes not work if drivers are not updated
Could be q mod or cc, I have had this happen before. U didn't even need to reinstall, just move ur mods folder and see if the message comes up, if it doesn't then u have found ur problem
To all you beautiful people out there, have a lovely day.
I recently got a new computer, A Windows 10. I had it downloaded on an old computer. I downloaded the sims to my new one and every time I try to launch it says that it cant launch on my windows or that it contains an error. I uninstalled it on my old computer and it still won't work.

Hello @Veronica1239
Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Make sure that your graphics drivers are uptodate,
I'm not really sure how to update my graphics and drivers but I did try repairing the game, redownloading it and putting -W in and it still won't work.

Hello @Veronica1239
Could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site. You will need to replace the http in the address with h.t.t.p as you are a new member and can’t post links.
Hello @Veronica1239
You need to update your graphics drivers, Go to the Nvidia site, search for your graphics card, ( NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050) and download/install the latest drivers for it. Doing this may help your issues. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
Try also uninstalling and reinstalling Origin and see if that helps
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If
I was trying to get on to GeForce Experience it appeared after I downloaded the link u sent me. I just restarted my computer and the sims still won't load up.

Sometimes people have a few problems with GeForce Experience.
Have you installed the new graphics drivers ?
I tried downloading the graphics and it brought me to GForce
Are you able to now open GeForce Experience after restarting your computer?
Edit : I am going to quote what chesterbigbird wrote on another post as it will also help you if you are still having issues updating your graphics driver
Download that and before you install anything, Remove everything Nvidia via add/remove programs in contral panel. (leaving the drivers till last.)
Restart your pc then open the driver you downloaded, Click Custom install and select the Graphics driver/Audio Driver and Phys X.. do not select the 3D vision drivers unless you play in 3D? (i doubt anyone does LOL)
Also do not select The GeForce Experience as it can cause problems. make sure you restart your pc after it's done.

You have two video cards. You need to make sure the game is running on Nvidia not intel. See thread http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/776882/sims-4-and-switchable-graphics-how-to-nvidia-amd/p1
