It's great to see that some of you are already working on this month's submission
And I just wanted to say that I love our little community. I just remembered that I forgot to include something in the directions for the voting: you shouldn't vote for the same story more than once. I don't really know how to set up the poll to make it impossible to do so, so we'll have to operate on the honor system. I just check each response on the poll so far, and everyone did a great job in voting as intended. Thank you all for being so great.
I did find one response that had voted for the same story for all three questions. I'm not trying to call anyone out, so you don't have to say anything. The only reason I'm saying anything is that to keep things fair, I've deleted that one response, and I want whoever that was to still have their votes. So if you voted for one story for all the questions in the poll, please take the survey again choosing a different story for each question.
Basically, you can't think that one story should win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, so please vote accordingly.
Will we be able to see any indication of the results as the voting carries on or do we have to wait? When I have voted on polldaddy polls I sometimes saw how the results were after I placed my vote, just curious
As of ten minutes ago I have tea, my onesie and I am now drafting my entry for this month gotta say this is very challenging for me since I would never start my writing with that kind of phrase. It's difficult for me to find it a place at the very beginning aha! So thanks @Carewren123 for giving such a challenging prompt

I remember back when we were setting up the rules, we decided against showing. We didn't want it to sway anyone's votes AND we didn't want anyone to feel sad in case his/her story didn't get any votes. This way, Carewren will just tell us who won and no one has to worry about feeling left out or like he/she didn't do good enough because everyone did a great job
Also...I think I actually have an idea for this month's challenge. So...yay. I might sit down with a pen and paper and try writing it out...yup...pen and paper!

Sounds perfectly fair to me, I'm just way too impatient and not competitive enough haha but you're right, everybody did a fantastic job
I'm down to 122 words over... I can do this! *puts on editing cap*
It's just unfortunate, because the stuff I keep having to cut are the good, atmospheric stuff that I feel gives my story "personality". Don't get me wrong -- I completely understand the necessity of a word limit. But it's never fun to cut down your writing!
I will be back later with the finished product though, I swear!
Since we each can only vote once is a week too long of a voting period? I'm guessing a lot of us have voted already.
Sorry I just hate waiting
We could adjust this for future months. I just want to make sure everyone has time to read the entries and vote (busy weeks happen). But I know in reality most people have already read them before the voting even started. So... I'll keep an eye on the number of votes each day this week, and if there is no new votes during the last few days I can shorten the voting period for next month.

Nope, I'm all out.
Edit: Oh, and voted! Good luck everyone!
