One day, a famous pizzeria chain shut down due to a catastrophe of historic proportions. No matter where it happened, all restaurants shut down, regardless of their involvement or size. Then one day, a Pizza/Cafe installment in the hidden corner of the city of Newcrest suddenly had its lights turned on. Multiple companies ranging from Landgraab Finances to Starrware Labs took interest in the news only to uncover a disturbing truth: someone with no history on this world has taken residence in the ruin and is uncovering more and more horrible parts of what used to the supposed friendliest cafe in the world.

That seemed like a great thing to put in the description for the cafe home I now call Nolan Refurbished. Too bad descriptions are too limited to include everything, but at least I can give the backstory to the place and my appearance in the home. What started as a starter home made from a tiny cafe continues to become a haunted metropolitan construct.

Story Update: After befriending Bella Goth, we decide to clone her in a moment of lack of forethought. Only problem is that something goes horribly wrong in the process. The Result: (I kid you not...) Bella's evil clone, Isabella Goth...



She's evil, mean, and yet family oriented... If there's any plan in her mind, it's to replace Bella herself and ruin her name in the process.





But her greatest crime is the capture and total mental breakdown of Princess Keira Arrington, a friend to the family of the Goths and daughter to King James and Queen Juliette Arrington. Normally, I'd step in, but I'm either out for work all the time, or Keira's locked away in Isabella's chambers. Isabella's regular schedule for the captive princess is freeze her in her specially crafted formalwear, making her and the rest of the neighborhood need the restroom immediately, making her clean up every mess because she can never make it to the restroom, then make her panic before Isabella freezes her again. Worst off, Isabella frequently freezes her in sight of the front door, which I locked to stop innocents from dying inside the abandoned restaurant.









So, I have to ask before I continue: how would you all continue this? Would you stop Isabella's reign of terror or continue going about your business and let her have her way with Keira?

I think the princess is taking your advice, @Esine. She's been taking a real beating from Isabella, but refuses to go down. It's been a few days since she last ate, so I'm worried her time is definitely running out...




Worst off, Isabella is befriending her grief-stricken king father...

@06Bon06 @Esine @dmel15 Well, I promised a response and here it is. If you thought the last posts were picture heavy, then this one may slow your browser to a dead halt.

With me too busy to check in on Isabella, she invites more and more people into the haunted home of mine. Some of them being past love interests, neighbors, and old friends. The worst of it is when Isabella invited the King and Queen over, as they partied with her while their daughter was still imprisoned! It practically broke my heart as their captive princess would think about them a lot and some of their actions would get interrupted because she'd try to contact her parents only for Isabella's locks to stop her, with Isabella often taking just a little moment to stop by and threaten her.




During the parties, Isabella tricked her origin, Bella, my first friend, Juliette, and my girlfriend, Sophie, into her freezing containment units! (Basically her taking everyone she could in a conversation with her.) What's worse is that they didn't last long. Bella dropped after losing a fight to Isabella and then peeing herself. Her family has been stuck in sadness since.



After Bella died, Isabella herded her other prisoners into a single chamber. Sophie died first after enduring barely one round of Isabella's torture and she was the first one that I actually discovered...



I go to save the game and the game finishes processing all the information, it processes the last bits of Isabella's torture. Juliette dies from hunger, also after a single round of Isabella's cycle. Right after her... Princess Keira Arrington dies after countless cycles.



I've never seen a sad emotion extended in the sims for so long. I was practically inconsolable alongside the Goth, Bishop, and Arrington families. Worst off, I expose Isabella to good ol' Grimmy and he feels awful and duped by her! He goes into being sad as well! Such an event should make for a majorly necessary turning point and, as a scientist, it makes me try and reverse their deaths. It also makes me go into a drunken stupor, far more easily than sims in TS4 already were.



Feeling responsible for everything, I head to Wrayth Manor, where the Arrington Royalty resides, to tell Princess Keira's family the terrible news. Probably didn't cut out the fact the king and queen partied with their daughter's murderer right above her prison. They didn't take it well...




So that's the end of Chapter 2: Princess to Prisoner. Isabella has successfully murdered a princess, her origin, and two other persons of note, caused chaos and tragedy in the community, and leaves me in tears and alcoholic stupors. Considering it's over, I should continue the game before I work on chapter 3...

I was really overdue for writing this up so I tagged everyone interested, but here is the somewhat-awaited Chapter/Episode 3! This one will be image heavy!


It's been months since the death of Bella Goth revealed the existence of her mentally-unstable clone Isabella and tied the deaths of the other three women, including princess Keira Arrington, to the right suspect. However, Isabella has ran from her live-in crime scene and left Nolan Refurbished to rot. The cameras inside catch no life, save for the hollow shell of the owner, myself.

However, the city of Newcrest still suffers. Hauntings, possessions, and nightmares abound, even in broad daylight! As this happens, I work day and night to find a remedy to the cursed region.




One night, after failing to build a proper elixir, the first of the victims materializes. It's Bella and, feeling despite the obvious state of being, binds herself to my household in the hopes of being revived and has no problem hunting down her clone and killer.




Less than a week later, another anomaly appears inside the Newcrest Wedding Church across the block. It's the second victim and former girlfriend, Sophie Bishop! She's the most rageful and has no hope for her future revival but still binds herself to the household next! (That actually mad me feel bad; you know where her mind was preceding her death.)




Seeing that Bella and Sohpie have revealed themselves, the third of the victims, Juliette Chase, shyly materializes in the computer room. She's consistently depressed and also has no hope for the future. Despite this, she follows suit and binds herself to the household in the slim hope of revival.


After a few days pass with some noticeable developments and a large drop in the hauntings, the final victim of the four appears and she's definitely the most infuriated at the time. It's the newly-proclaimed Ghost Princess Keira Arrington! Her rage finally subsides upon seeing me and gains hope for her future, something she hasn't had since she was the first to be imprisoned by Isabella Goth. Upon binding herself to the household, I discover something very interesting: all the women save for Keira have romantic relationships with other men, save for their husbands and me. Keira has only one and it's a Soulmate bond with me, the level no one else has.



During the week, the four spirits acclimate themselves to their new ways of (after)life, with Juliette and Sophie changing their looks and just doing whatever they please while Bella and Keira begin haunting their homes, giving signs they may soon be back in the flesh.


Eventually, Bella and Keira's work pays off; Mortimer reunites with Bella and the two reignite their famous relationship and drop their other love interests, Keira reunites with her twin sister first and the rest of her royal family following, and Sophie even reunited with her brother, Landon!

Furthermore, with the families less fearing of Nolan Refurbished, a few new loves pop up in place of fear! Sophie and Prince Kaleb begin becoming an item and Juliette finds herself in Landon's arms!



Furthermore, considering I don't want to be the scientist behind another demise, I drop anything I had going with any of them. But Princess Keira refuses to lose a Soulmate and stays together. Given the circumstances, I relent and just accept the love.


A couple of weeks after their return, I began making solid strides at creating the revival dish, Ambrosia, itself, and Isabella Goth catches on! She returns to try and stop it but the spirits strike back and keep her occupied... until she got hungry.


During my pursuit of the necessary ingredients, I came across a few COWPLANT berries! I plant and take care of my first one, but because I'm out a lot, I forget to feed the poor thing. Occasionally, Keira or Bella would feed it in my place, but they were spending their time in the spa downstairs today. Instead, Isabella's greed fed my beloved cowplant that night. Thanks to mods, she didn't get a second chance.



The girls were beyond quick to notice. They rose to the occasion to take a moment to celebrate; it may not have been as torturous as they would've liked it, but Isabella Goth was dead and they couldn't be any happier!



When I got home that night, Keira shares her excitement in a more private moment... right over her killer's grave.



Edit: Fixed a misplaced image and removed a duplicate. I'll also try working on an epilogue if interest shore up.

Considering the spirits were quick to annihilate Isabella, she's pretty much gone from the game now, save for her tombstone/urn. I'll definitely try out some new things to add on to the tale however!

This was great! I really enjoyed reading your story and your screenshots are fantastic. I'm really liking the idea of the security camera angle shots. You may want to edit them a bit to make them look like actual security camera footage.
