Back in Thesims2 there used to be 3 towns, one of then was a desert and full of all sort of creepy and weird stuff, All stories were inter-conected and the background of the characters were quite rich when compared to other Towns of Thesims2. The town must have made quite sucess because it was the only town that apeared in pretty much all versions of Thesims2 aside of Mobile. I will slowy build up this thread to include more and more information, it is a very complex city and every community lot is important and most sims as well.
Before Thesims4 came out, i started a thread in order to bring back the city in a Junction of all versions and all characters. Thing is, Thesims4 town size does not support a city of this size, but there are alternatives. Down here you can see some drawnings i made representing the city, as well as some of the "Districts" of it, and some of the lots on these. Many players liked the idea, so i belive some will like it here as well.
StrangeTown is located in the middle of the desert, conected at certain point to the main road called "Road to Nowhere", it is in nature a junction of several abandonned areas that were re-populated together with military projects,Farmlands and some service areas that were created along the road all conected by roads trough the desert, with time the town gained some proper areas of it own as well.
Most of the sims bios in several of the games sugest that the town often works as a scape route for people who want to stay away from the world as well as adventurers, Fugitive aliens, Gangsters , Military secret projects , people who lost their job, recluse farmers as well as famous super-stars runing away from the media. There are very few pre-made sims on StrangeTown (When you look at all versions) that do not have a bio, is even hard to describe how creepy and at the same time chaotic the town can become, but when i include their description , it will make more sense..or not.. lol.

*I Will keep updating this Thread over time, and thrust me, It will get Huge since This is the entire content of 3 games + 1/3 of the content of another 2 games that are much larger than the previous 3...so..yeah. I cant really put everything right away otherwhise i will get tired and you will get confused AND tired (In case you read), the other reason is to keep the thread visible of course.
*The Previous discussion on Forum.ea.com got 104 supporters on the poll (Signature selection) i made (You can see it below) :

But since that site is going to be closed in a few days, im forced to copy it to this forum instead. But this version will be shorter than the original since it does not present the outdated concept and will likely have much less of Thesims3 influence

Most of these are Townies (NPC pre-made sims that act as your neighbors, co-workers and transients on the street) but even then have a biography on Thesims2 for PSP and DS, and will happily detail all of then in future updates. But the main sims have deep and complex back story that creates a rather intricate StoryTelling for any thesims game.
# UPDATE 2 - Occults and Supernaturals
Naturaly, it is to be expected that the most weird neighborhood on the entire Thesims series is filled with the most weird life forms of said thesims series. The game had diferent Life-states in diferent game versions, some on the DS and GBA and some on the PSP,PC and Console versions. Each of them has diferent roles in the community of StrangeTown and many of them could be confused for normal humans, much like the aliens on GTW. You might understand better when i insert their biography with the other sims as well.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
1 - Aliens : Aliens are likely the most important Lifestate on StrangeTown, several important characters on all versions are aliens and they present a major contribution to the town story and might be responsible for it beign the way it is. The town overall has more than 6 pure-blood aliens and about 4 Hybrids Human-Alien. They are surely to represent the main aspect of the town wich is Sci-Fi
2 - Ghosts : Cemeteries and living dead present the second main aspect of StrangeTown, Suspence and horror, wether hauting and scaring or simply trolling people around, ghosts are present in packs around the 3 main burial sites of the town wich are The MeetingHouse, Olive specter's Garden and ParadisePlace Graveyard and the houses around those places, I will describe each one later. Ghosts on Thesims2 PS2 were living on the abandonned Movie studio, these guys would fly around and trow up on people, their distorted voice gives the chills on anyone.
3 - Robots : There is a total of 2 known robots on the town, one is a megalomaniacal android, resembling a SERVO and extremely intelligent, was once known for trying to take over the town with a robotic army. The second is the wife of her creator, in fact, the robotic girl looks exacly like a human, something in the line of Terminator movies but her freewill and intelligence is not as great as the first one.
4 -Zombies : Together with the ghosts, Zombies roam around and inside the graveyards, Zombie invasions are said to be a common problem according to the local police, they present one of the main sources of problems on the town, while is not clear what causes so many zombies to appear, they seen to stick to the limits of the cemetery most of time and dont go out on daylight. Zombies in StrangeTown have full-black eyes, this could indicate that they dont have eyes at all any-longer...
5 - Others : Apart from the ones above, some few other occults do appear but only one of each, There is One Mummy guy, One Werewolf girl and One Vampire Girl. The vampire and the Werewolf live on the same area as the main portion of zombies and ghosts, The mummy lives mostly isolated in his tomb far in the desert. And there is also the Mole People, but they are very hard to find, and at last, There are Two Bigfoots in the higher areas of town, at the end of the desert where the trees start to appear.
=Considerations about StrangeTown configuration=
Data compilation about Commercial ,industrial and Residential Zoning according to SimCity style. List of handpicked buildings including Govern-Related, Institutions, Energy production, Tourism, services etc. This compilation also points out to relations between families and between districts, respective owners of buildings and basic caracteristics of buildings.
# PART 1 - HOUSING
Many sims in StrangeTown are like sims in TSM, they live at their workplace and their homes are usually in a separated area inside the same building, wich is usually more of a public space than a residence, so i dont consider those as houses but community lots instead wich fit in the commercial zoning according to SimCity functions.
There are many houses without owner in Thesims2 PC already, considering that all sims moved between PC and PSP timeline, all residential lots from the PC version are probably abandonned by now. Even trough there are loads of townies ,NPCs and Bin Families, any move-in would be an action performed by the player and not game devs so it is not official to be taken in consideration, but maybe is even good so you have more choices.
Bigger than the number of unoccupied houses, is the number of sims that have some residence but the game dont really shows up,but they are not really homeless. Penelope Redd (GBA) once says that she saw a 3-eyed pig in the backyard of her house, but her house doesnt really appear in game.
The Numbers in the homes of StrangeTown dont seen to folow any mathematic logic or specific law, they seen to be very aleatory and maybe even chosen by the owner, unlike in places like Pleasantview, but since this Thesims and StrangeTown, that is not really a problem because Non-sense seens to be the only rule here.

# PART 2 : COMMERCIAL
Community lots that fit into the "Commercial" category of zoning according to SimCity. Such lots are not houses or residential of any kind, their objective is monetary circulation, pure and simple captalism, but many of those buildings are also house their owners. Most of these buildings are either entertaiment buildings or Shops, the town already has many residential lots and other categories of buildings, but those are the type of lots that keep the money coming, that keep the town alive and interstinga and are very important to the community and to the neighborhood Storytelling as well.

As you can see in the first post, the town is so huge that not even Thesims2 or Thesims3 would be able to support it all at once. But you may as well notice that the town is made of several smaller areas that i have been calling of "Districts". While i would use subhood options on Thesims2, Thesims4 towns only support one district at once as a whole, so i would use several desert towns and label them as part of the same town, no-one would Notice, would it ? The effect is the same, but i would need a CAW but there is none to Thesims4 for now, so this is the main obstacle for my project so far.
Nonetheless, i will get into details with every single Area, Lot and Sim. Each part of this world is conected but at the same time it is unique with it own story. Many of the parts were inspired in the content found in the games, while some parts of it (very few) are part of my creativity, in order to make the town even more intersting and even more crazy....but i will leave that to the end.
As i speak, you may be able to indentify in the main map the area i am talking about, as far as i made very colourfull drawnings of said zones and the residents of those. I was saving my drawnings till now so by the time i starting going in depth with the story you dont die of boringdom while reading endless texts of the massive story of each sim in this place because no Town...i repeat, NO TOWN, in the entire Thesims serie has as much backstory as this one does. My first description will be about what i call the "Road-To-Nowhere District" AKA Thesims2 PC Strangetown.
This part is Descriptive as of the original lots. As far as i dont have yet a few some tools and functions required to make all of them. But i will talk about these when i finish all the yadayada that was on my original thread.
Called simply "StrangeTown" in the original game, the name of this zone comes from the main Two-way Highway that crosses the map, from it, smaller roads branch to make make route to some houses, while the two community lots are placed directly in the main road's board. The smaller town from Thesims2 basegame, this consist in just a small portion of the entire project, on the other hand it does present a huge piece of the town backstory.
Placed deep into the desert heart. this area is very dry, massive water reservatories can be seem in the farther zones of the town together with Eolic turbines to supply energy, a few residential lots do occupy the area, but most are now likely unnocupied by the original residents due to the events present on Thesims2-PSP. Yet, the two community lots are still valuable for anyone living in the desert, not to mention the residual residents and townies near the area. The main Landmark of this district is the huge crater with a crashed UFO on it.

*Community Lots.

*Residential Lots and Households*
It will be handy for a lot of people.
Placed in the game's transference area, these households are awayting for you to move them into one of the several empty houses also listed in this update and play with them. Townies are pre-made NPCs made to populate the city when you go into a community lot, after all the town so small that only the residents would not be enough to make it intersting, unlike in other towns, StrangeTown's townies all look diferent, and i took some of them to the table.

And a lot of people's favorite town too
including me (Obvious).

The other forum was shut down (Good Thing i made a BackUp, HAHA) wich means that this will be the main Thread. Till the end of the year, this will be as much as big as the other one. I might take a bit more time since i dont have the original thread to copy and paste but that is all. This new version will be easier to understand and with some updated drawnings.
I have not yet decided what i will talk about in my next update, but it will likely be about Thesims2 PSP - StrangeTown. The PSP version of Thesims2 is a direct sequel to the story present in Thesims2 PC, but it also presents characters from The Urbz, it shows what happened to everyone on the PC version and shows a much more occupied StrangeTown. At least 4 Sub-Districts will be coming from that game, but dont worry, none of them are as big in story and information as the PC one.
Everything is more colourful in black and white
The stories are worthy reading in the wikia if you have time, but i will show them here anyway. Thesims2 households and basegame towns overall had a storytelling with a lot of pre-set problems that prompted the player into relating to the character in order to play them all and stumble into gameplay aspects while doing so. The game does not have that anymore, ever since Thesims3 the world is just too perfect and a lot of people dont even care for the pre-created families.
(unrelated note) :
Well, it turns out that the original site did not close down after all. Maybe i misunderstood the warning or perhaps it will be in a diferent date.
Edit : turns out it will be closed down only at Octorber 19. So if you people want to enter the orginal thread it is still there.
If we had a Create a Wolrd tool already it would not be hard to create any, really, even more in the PC versions, but we might have to make separated towns from the territory as far as Thesims2 towns are way bigger than Thesims4 ones, apart from that, not big of a deal.
The only 2 reason i cant create all of strangetown yet its because we dont have enough content avaible so early. For Example , i cant create Deadtree districts because we dont have zombies yet. And the other main reason is that i need more space and more desert towns.
I will now start to talk about the PSP version of Thesims2, wich feature StrangeTown as the only town in game. The PSP storyline featured the same sims from the PC version alongside many more sims introduced to a now much bigger Town, and the storyline was set a few years after the PC version.

This district was the first you entered in the game. It is one of the smaller districts in all the Town (In fact, it is so small one could simply put it together with Road-To-Nowhere). As the name sugest, it is simple pit-stop station in the middle of a very long road. Unlike Road-To-Nowhere, this one has only a single way, and few people stay here, while nothing implies that they do, actually, live here, nothing says otherwhise either.
The original two lots can be seen conected directly to the main road, together with a silver rocket (Also in game) that gives the name to the station. I myself expanded the district so it is worthy actually beign a separated area, including a radio station and some other lots, but those can be changed, lets focus on the two main lots -
One is the Curio Shop, not much to talk here, it is a Gas Station Mini-Mart, The Other lot is a mechanic garage for car fixs - Oscar Garage, both wrapped up together with the gas station and a big, silly, Silver rocket outside it...hence the name.
There is a total of 4 sims that stay by here. One of them is Bella Goth, since i already talked about her, i wont mention her, but as i already made mention, she is trying to go home and is stuck in the town, by the time she sells her house to you (The Player) she is living in this station, more precisely, inside the Mini-Mart.
Note : I may edit these images, PSP graphics are horrible and my drawnings at the point i made these was not very good with small images, so i might make new versions of these too.
The Stadium was a personal inclusion, you can see it in the map, it could be a big rabithole, an actual huge open lot or just a background decoration, not that big deal, but it is a good landmark. It is circular and it road is conected to the road of the airport. The Airport itself can also be a huge open lot or just a decoration for background, the model i based myself on was from the game "Tropico4". As you can see, it is pretty small for an airport.
For the time a proper Vacation Expansion Pack is released, we could see sims walking into the Spaceport rabithole or open lot, and we would see a simulated Airplane come, sims go up, and the plane flies away. But that is just a minor idea , yet for a rather massive object, so taking consideration Thesims4 engine, it would be better that this was just a background building with nice animations for an airplane.
There is a simmer who used CAW to created a Thesims3 StrangeTown in a similar way to my idea, and he is also creating Thesims4 versions of the PC - StrangeTown, later in my thread i will make sure his origin ID is mentioned. And his lots, alongside other users remakes, together with my sims and any nice remake i can find. For Now my next update will be ParadisePlace District.
A Small district, smaller than Road-To-Nowhere, but bigger than ServiceStation. This area is purely residencial and holds no community lot in it domains, in fact, there are hints in the game that this was an old habitational project, but was likely abandonned and archived later, yet, a few families still make use of this area and are taking care of it.
There is one particular problem here, tough - It seems like this are was already used before by a graveyard, and the houses were built above it, only a very small portion of the graveyard still exist in the center of the circle created by the street, with a crooked tree and a few gravestones. This resulted in zombies coming out of the ground and invading houses at night, Deputy Duncan (See - District : Service Station above) is the responsible for keeping them in line, but he is often whiling to pay a sum for anyone doing it instead.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
*Houses and Households
All houses do show a similar style in the game, not properly represented by my drawning. Bella Goth lived in one these houses before moving to ServiceStation, here also is the area where Circe and Loki Beaker would be living by Thesims2 PSP timeline. Several Townies also roam trough this place, something that led me to sugest many other houses in the drawning than the 5 ones that there are in Thesims2PSP.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
*Other Houses. These houses are part of the game, but are asigned to sims that were discribed already or owned by sims that are not beign taken in consideration - Such as the sim player, since it could be anyone.
Indeed, i will be updating the SimCards in this very page because the old ones are with a bad quality, not to mention further edition of images, after all , showing the original graphical style and quality (Or the lack of such) of the original games was never and will never be the point of this thread. For example :
>>>>>>>>
See, this is the diference between a Rushed work and a carefull work. If you get what i mean.
Deadtree is a countryside old-west themed town, that was abandonned by it previous owners long time ago, and now it has been re-setled by several groups. Mostly by Bikers and cowboys. People re-purposed most community lots as houses, while some of them opened new spaces for profit.
The bad part , and the most intersting part about Deadtree, aside from it obvious landmark, the deadtree, is the presence of several monsters, including a hulking and rampaging werewolf-Like beast, called the "Nightbeast" by the locals, not to mention a reclusive vampire and zombies roaming trough the graveyard of the meetinghouse.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Lots and Sims of Deadtree -
This particular district does not have actual housing. Several places that in other games would be considered community lots are beign used as well as houses by a sim or a group of sims, at the same time, it seems like these places are still used for their built purpose. For example, Ophelia Nigmos, AKA, Olive's Specter niece, lives in the meetinghouse, a place likely used for funerals considering the graveyard as a backyard and the Organ piano inside it.
