Sunny stood outside the Freedom house, rubbing her bruise. She waits, ready to tell Mrs Freedom everything. She watches as Penelope steps out of a cab infront of the house and runs towards her.
"Penelope! Wait!" she yells, jogging towards her. Penelope turns around.
"Oh, hello there.. you're Sunny right? From the house down the street?" she says, slightly stunned at Sunny running towards her and stopping right in front of her.
"Yeah.. can we talk?"
"Sure darling.. is everything okay?" she smiles at Sunny, sensing her nervous mood and trying to be a good neighbor with her.
"No.. no it's not I'm pregnant.." she starts to weep
"Oh Sunny, that's not bad.. when I was young I had a child.. Infact I was younger tha-" Penelope starts to comfort her, interrupted by an explosion by Sunny
"NO! You don't understand! It's your stupid husbands baby! He got me pregnant and wants nothing to do with me!"
Penelope looks at her in stunned silence, staring at the bruise on her cheekbone. "He hit you." Sunny looks at her shocked, covering her bruise with her hands "Well, that's what you get for trying to break up my family. Never come back here ever again." Penelope wipes a tear from her eye, other than this one tear she stands emotionless as Sunny pushes past her to walk away.
I'm not trying to justify her, but think of it her way: This girl was young and vulnerable and he was the only one interested in her, then they have a baby together and he marries her.. so in her mind, this is the fix. It's obviously unreasonable and naive, and terrible but that's definitely her reasoning behind this.
Darkness Never Fades For Her
Sunny approaches the door to the Freedom household, determined to speak to Jonathan about their daughter. She goes to knock on the door but stops in her tracks, pulling back a little as she spots his wife and him at their dinner table.
"Darling come on, you got to name Jessica.."
"True, but I don't think Venus would be a good name for our baby.."
Her mind starts racing: Their baby?! How could he! He told me he never wanted another baby.. and 9 months later.. right after his child is born.. He makes another?!
"Come on, Venus is a beautiful name! Especially now that Sixam has been discovered.. it's more, Universally Friendly. She could be friends with the aliens!" sadness sparks across Sunny's face, mixed with rage, as she hears the couple laughing together.
"Okay, how about if it's a girl, you can name her.. if it's a boy, I name it."
"That sounds great!"
Sunny peaks through the window, saddened to see the couple so deeply in love as they kiss in the middle of the room.

Yeah, i know. I just strongly agree with the saying that "all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing".
