Hello.
Copy your sims 4 folder onto your desktop. Then when you have reinstalled, copy back your "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new file/ folders with the old file/folders.
The saves folder contains your saves, and the tray folder contains the sims households/builds that are in your library. The options.ini file contains your game settings.
I saved my important game files to my One Drive account when I re-installed and they update when I close the game and it's easy to transfer game files between my laptop and my desktop. File sync is cool and saves time when patches mess up my game.
