GAME SET UP FOR THOSE CONTINUING THE FULL 24 HOUSE CHALLENGE
-Built Lots in Oasis Springs and Willow Creek worlds may be replaced (with the same lot type)
-You are free to evict or delete any Sims except The Heir from House 004
All other worlds and vacation destinations may be built upon or populated however you'd like
*Adding in unique Lot types from other packs is encouraged
MAKING THE SECONDARY SIM
Place a Sim into a household with the previous heir from House 004 who is a:
-Young Adult
-Humanoid or other Occult from the following list:
*Alien (Get To Work needed)
*Mermaid (Island Living needed)
*Spellcaster (Realm Of Magic needed)
-Relationship status is Roommates
*Using Story Mode for creating the Secondary Sim is not allowed
*If you download a Sim, you will need to make sure that they do not have any Skills or extra Traits gained as this could give unwanted advantages

-Evict any Sims who are living on the Arid Ridge Lot in Oasis Springs world
-Demolish the Arid Ridge Lot
-Set the Arid Ridge Lot to Residential
All other worlds and vacation destinations may be built upon or populated however you'd like
*Adding in unique Lot types from other packs is encouraged
MAKING THE DRIFTER AND THE SECONDARY SIM
Create two Sims who are:
-Young Adult
-Humanoid or other Occult from the following list:
*Alien (Get To Work needed)
*Mermaid (Island Living needed)
*Spellcaster (Realm Of Magic needed)
-Relationship status is Roommates
-Designate which Sim will be the Drifter and which will be the Secondary Sim
*Using Story Mode for creating The Drifter or the Secondary Sim is not allowed
*If you download your Sims, you will need to make sure that they do not have any Skills or extra Traits gained as this could give unwanted advantages
REQUIRED GAME SETTINGS
Under the Gameplay tab in the Game Options menu select the following:
-Autonomy - Full
-Auto Age (Played Sims) - Yes
-Sim Lifespan - Normal
WHERE TO START AND LAST MINUTE PREPARATIONS
-In Game Options set Season length as as well as rain/snow options (Seasons needed)
-In Game Options you may choose to opt out of Fame (Get Famous needed)
-Move The Drifter and the Secondary Sim onto the Arid Residential Lot in Oasis Springs
-You may select 1-3 Lot Traits in Build Mode (these can be changed at any time)
-Using the Calendar create/add any Holidays or Events you'd like (Seasons needed)
-Sell or Delete any objects that The Drifter has brought along in their inventory
*If you choose to keep any items, you must deduct the cost of the object(s) from the Active Household Funds before ANY other object(s) are allowed to be purchased
-Drop the Active Household Funds to $0 Simoleons (testingcheats on + Money 0)
-Save your game
-Make a backup save (start of House 005)
*I highly recommend that you make these separate game save files so that if you are unsatisfied with how things turn out or you experience a House Challenge fail, you will have the option to redo House 005 without losing all prior world progress
THE PLAYABLE SIMS THIS HOUSE CHALLENGE ARE:
-The Drifter (the previous heir coming from House 004 if you are continuing)
-The Secondary Sim
*The two sims you created if you are just doing House 005
*All other Household Sims are considered non-playable who may only be controlled using options available through their portrait in the bottom left hand corner
REQUIRED GOALS OF HOUSE 005
1. As a minimum create a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home worth at least $100k Simoleons
2. Achieve level 10 of the Patron Of The Arts branch in the Painting career on The Drifter
3. Achieve level 10 of the Master Of The Real branch in the Painting career on the Secondary Sim
4. Achieve level 5 of the Photography Skill on either Playable Sim
5. Complete the following Photography Treasure Hunt
*A completed collection should yield a total of 10 photographs with all items and colors used only once
As an added level of challenge difficulty every photograph should feature a different Sim and not feature any Active Household members

Hair (hair, facial hair and eyebrows)
Makeup (all locations)
Accessories (glasses, gloves and all jewelry)

-The Heir is the firstborn baby made between The Drifter and another Sim who is part of the Active Household at the time the WooHoo For Baby interaction is used
*Vampire babies cannot be considered as The Heir
IT IS A HOUSE CHALLENGE FAIL IF:
-Any Required Goal was not completed before The Heir ages to Young Adult
-The Heir dies or is otherwise removed from the Active Household
WHERE AND WHEN YOU CAN TRAVEL
$1k Simoleons sitting in Active Household Funds is required ANY time you travel to:
-Party or Event locations the Household is asked to attend or playable Sims host
-Willow Creek - to access the tree to Sylvan Glade

It's going very well so far. Jerrod has level 4 photography. Both Jerrod and Zayma are level 2 in the painting career.

When I first read all of the goals for this challenge I was very discouraged. I thought it was even harder than 004, which I barely survived and had to try twice at. But as I'm playing, I'm realizing that because the painting career is not an active one it is not as hard as I thought it would be. Sure, their promotions are a little slow to start but they've been having troubles with bad moods due to lack of fun so far. When they are married.... well, 'fun' won't be a problem. lol So with better moods they can get promoted faster.
The photography skill was very daunting for me because I've never gotten into it. Well, it's not as hard as I thought. So I'm feeling much better about this challenge now then when I first began. I have hope that I can complete all of the goals.
I also was confused at first with the way the color and item were side by side. I thought that you needed to find a red hat, since that color and that item were next to each other. I've since realized (correct me if I'm wrong) that you can pick any color and associate it with any item. But only use one color once and only use one item once.
Thanks for making a fun challenge. It scared me at first but now I'm having fun.
When I was play testing this...it was the 1st time I'd ever done the Photography skill as well...it's pretty fun & since it only goes LVL5 maxed..it pairs nicely w/having 2 Sims playable IMO
That would b correct...any of the listed colors...w/any of the listed items...& yes use color & item only once...will yield a total of 10 photos (all items & colors accounted) I think my instructional video helps a bit as there r visuals 2 help explain as well
This is Elise drifter my heir from house 004, just before I moved her out to start 005. She aged up and quick jumped on the treadmill before I could pause my game! LOL .. she is really into her fitness!
After watching Vi's video on the random challenge I decided to try it myself on my new sim for house 005 ... though I did choose his traits, everything else was randomly picked even his name (I used the 5th dice roll since it's house 005 hehe) ... drum roll please ... and here is Talon Keenan:

Would apartments qualify? Like a 2 bedroom plus a 1 bedroom on one lot?
