We didn't need you anyway! (Sims 2 + Pics)

(Sorry, some of the photos are small and very low quality, due to the fact that I originally wasn't planning on sharing them!)
Anyway, this is Lucy!
Lucy's story started out in University, where she dated many other sims. (Including another woman and a vampire!)
Eventually though, after Lucy graduated college, she decided to settle down with her first choice (they had the highest chemistry), Ravi. He proposed to her after feeding her only the expensive lobster, and afterwards danced the night away.
After living together for a while and building up a steady income, Lucy and Ravi decided to expand their family! With a dog....
And this dog turned out to be THE WORST dog in the world. I allowed him to stay only because he's cute and does very well with his training.
A few days later, Lucy finds out that she's expecting! Is it too early to start decorating the nursery?
She also picks up writing novels in between work, and Ravi decides to study parenting! What could possibly go wrong (cries...) Lucy goes into labor a few days later, but not before Berny destroys the baby crib. -_- This dog has problems.
But wait! Lucy has been eating for THREE all this time? Looks like I need to buy more cribs.... (For some reason, these are the only pictures I ever got of the twins as babies)
Lucy and Ravi decide it's finally time to get married. They have two kids, a big house, and a dog after all. (What in plums name are you wearing, Ravi?)
Looks like Ravi had second thoughts and left her at the altar!

Lucy also quit her job as a teacher and opened a very tiny flower shop, where she sells bouquets made from the flower station, in the side yard. She couldn't afford to keep the nanny every weekday and she obviously couldn't go to work without someone watching the kids.
Hopefully she'll find someone to move in and help pay the bills soon...

I was so sad when Ravi left her, I actually nearly started crying. It was such a shock to me because they always got along.
How were their lifetime relationship scores? If one is too low, there's a chance of being left at the altar.
Edit: Ooh, I just read on the wiki that it could be due to low needs. Ravi was pretty hungry beforehand. I was going to pull him through until they cut the cake. (Which they never got to do... sobs)
The kids have a much needed diaper change and we begin to work on their skills. Lucy wants the twins to age up well despite their fathers abandonment.
Both of the children are half-way through potty training and talking, and have fully learned to walk! I'd like to start teaching them nursery rhymes soon as well.
Lucy puts the kids down for a nap and takes a much needed rest herself!.... on the floor.
When she wakes up, the twins are ready to properly start the day.
She hands them both a bottle and carries on to start her day at work (from home!) She finishes writing her book and makes a couple thousand simoleans.
Once she's finished, she decides to head downstairs and work in the flower shop. She earned her bronze badge today and even made a few sales!
And one angry teenager. Not sure what he was so mad about...
We get a warning that Heather and Bradley are starving.. (Oh come on! Their hunger bars weren't THAT low... right?) So Lucy puts them in their high-chairs.
They also had their very first big kid baths!
Wow, being a single sim is harder than I thought... Lucy decides it's in the children's best interest that she calls her former best friend and love affair, Sharon, to live with them. She's the only college friend she still has contact with!
Sharon agrees excitedly. She's been dying to see the twins since the day they were born. They exchange a hug and Sharon puts the kids to bed, while Lucy gets a full day of "Mommy time" (Thank goodness, she was about to die)
At least she didn't end up like our money tree....

Oh yeah, I'm so thankful that Sharon agreed to move in. Lucy was on the verge of death daily trying to juggle the shop, bills, her own needs, AND taking care of two kids in the terrible two's stage. The story will still mainly be focused on Lucy and her journey as a single parent, just needed someone to help out until the twins age up! I'm hoping it'll be easier by then.

Oh, definitely. Everyday is different and jam-packed with work to do, though, which is nice. I'm so used to my sims having easy lives!
Hopefully tomorrow! I have some photos ready.
Today is the twins birthday. They've finally finished all their skills! Potty-training was the one that took them the longest, but it was worth it!
(Yes, she's in her undies!)
The kids also have a nice final day of toddlerhood and mom reads them a little bit of a fairy tale. Bradley was very interested. Heather is very shy and usually hides while being read or talked to. It's actually pretty cute!
Sharon also finds a job in the business career and starts her first day of work.
When Sharon arrives home for the day, Lucy decides to open up the shop! (After taking little Berny for a walk, I feel bad when we don't pay enough attention to him
And we finally use that salon chair I bought for no reason at all. (Nice job!)
We get it, you're tired.
Sharon decides to make some sales while Lucy rests. We make a couple hundred dollars today!
When Lucy wakes up, it's time for the kids birthdays! Lucy calls Ravi and asks him if he'd like to come to the twins' birthday. He made up an excuse. "I'm waiting for the phone repairman!" What was I even expecting?
Lucy is upset that Ravi doesn't want to be in their children's lives. She always dreamed of a big, happy, traditional family. But the show must go on!
I had a weird glitch in my game where they wouldn't age up for some reason. Their bar just kept going back to 4 days. Hopefully that's not some kind of corruption.
The kids go straight to pillow fighting as soon as they grow up! They're already best friends.
Meanwhile, Lucy finishes writing another novel. This one is about the love she feels for her children. They really are the light of her life!
She made nearly $4000 in royalties! She must be getting to be a great writer.
After a long day, the girls relax in bed and discuss Lucy's new book.

Also, can I just say that Heather is probably the prettiest sim my game has made on its own?

Bradleys Room:
When Lucy woke the kids up for school, the first thing they did was play a cute little game of cops and robbers.
She decides to open the store and do a few makeovers. Is this going well? I think it's going well.
Never mind, spoke too soon.
This is just awful
At least we got one good makeover...
Time for school, kids! Lucy can only hope they make at least one friend today.
After the twins leave, Sharon goes to work, and Lucy starts her first day without the twins. At least she still has Berny!
She settles down to read a cuisine magazine before making a nice stew for brunch.
Ew, Lucy! You're lucky Sharon wasn't home to see that.
Lucy buys the kids a couple things they asked for before going in for a nap. Before she knows it, the kids are home! (Bradley actually wanted a piano. I saw the easel on the want so that's what I bought. Maybe I should actually pay attention...)
Lucy greets the kids at the door for a hug.
It's time to go shopping! We head to Amelia's closet to get the twins a whole new wardrobe! (And a few outfits for the girls)

Then we take the twins to the park! Heather shows off her amazing headstand skills while Lucy plays fetch with Berny.
Time to head home! We give Sharon a makeover, the family sits down for dinner, and the kids do their homework for the very first time!
Everyone heads to bed. As Lucy snuggles in next to Sharon, she realizes that she may still have feelings for her. Or maybe she's just trying to fill the emptiness in her heart. Her life has been such a roller coaster these past few years, she doesn't know what love is supposed to feel like. The original plan was to move her out when the twins became children, but she's grown too attached to let her go. She's part of the family now.
