Building my first houseboat - is THIS design possible?

Here's what I'm thinking of trying for -



While I'm sure the "paddle wheel" won't be possible, I'm wondering if the rest of the design is even possible?

Also, (just for fun) is it possible to put a fireplace inside the hull (basement) for a functioning smoke stacks?

As far as I know, houseboat hulls don't come that long. You can have a boat-hulled houseboat and design something similar, but living space is already at premium on a houseboat. They're best for open plan designs, if you build them with rooms, you need to be careful you don't end up with tiny rooms, that are hard to furnish. Ladders and spiral stairs are good on houseboats, since they save space for other things.

I don't think something like that would fit. The houseboat platforms are pretty small even if you get the biggest one.
