Laggy gameplay/save times , maybe mods ?

I play the pets expansion ALOT , particularly centered around the horses . I'm getting horrid lag spikes , and save times on occasion. The only CC I have is a bunch of markings , and coat colors and manes/tails that are in .package format . Could they be causing all this lag ? I know it's not my PC I just got this PC and it's more then meets the req.

Pets is the most brutal of the EPs on system performance because of the rendering of fur, among other things. The stated requirements for this game with many to all EPs was always too low, but what you have described can happen even to top of the line systems.
