Error 10048

Anyone else getting this error? My card is fine, called the bank and there is nothing on their end. Bank told me it has to be a site issue. Anyone else having problems with making the purchase and getting this code?

    I have the same issue paying with paypal. It is super frustrating as this is my only day off this week.

    Question for both of you. Did you try and purchase in-game or did you go to Origin outside the game? If you can let me know, we can try and track this down for you.

    I tried in game, on the website, and through the origin launcher. I even tried a prepaid Mastercard, and my bank issued Mastercard, still didn't work.

    We do have a suggestion. Open Origin, delete all your payment method information so that section is completely blank. Log out of Origin. Relaunch Origin and then enter your payment method information again. Let me know if that works.

    The first two times I tried paying (with Paypal) I got error #9006. This was after I was transferred to Paypal and entered my account details and then it said something about waiting while my payment is processed, then it gave that error. This was a few hours ago. So just a few minutes ago, I tried it again. This time, instead of transferring me to Paypal, it just gave me the 10048 error code right away. This is why I hate buying digital games.

    That was one of the first things I did and it don't work. It wont allow me to reenter my payment information. I kept getting that my request could not be proceed. I also tried to purchase from within the game and I can't do that either.

    @SimGuruBChick, I'm having the same problem, tried paypal and debit and credit cards. I deleted all payment info, and exited origin, even restarted the computer, but got the same error message again. Thanks for trying to help.

    I did that to.

    I have done:
    • Restart my computer
    • Delete Origin Cache
    • Delete and attempt to reenter my payment information
    • Check my computer for updates
    • Purchase via Origin
    • Purchase within game
    • Purchase using links from this site
    • Uninstall and reinstall Origin

    @SimGuruBChick - I have deleted the saved credit card details in Origin, and am getting the message that Origin is unable to verify my credit card.

    Can you provide any further updates?

    I've tried ALL these things too... (different credit cards, paypal, delete web cache, delete WHOLE COMPUTER cache, reboot, tried to buy a cash card online) even was on livechat with a completely useless person - but I did get a 15% discount. Now if only I could use it!

    I am at work and went onto Origin and purchased the pack with no problem with my debit card so that when I get home all I have to do is download it.

The agent from one bank was going to purchase and let it download while he was at work, but he too was having the same issues.

    have you tried yet to reboot the computer and open a different web browser, then try removing saved info and then trying to purchase

    I'm having the same problem as the rest of you. I tried adding PayPal - didn't work. I also deleted my card information and tried to re-enter it but now it won't let me add my card back in. There is nothing wrong with my credit card so I don't get it. I'm now waiting 45 minutes for a live chat agent but I don't have much hope. It's sad that we have a problem when we are WILLINGLY GIVING OUR MONEY TO THEM, ha!

    Took 45 minutes waiting to speak to someone through Origin/EA help, then took 2 advisors as the first was disconnected. 45 minutes later, the conversation was completed with my issue being sent to the specialist team. No idea how long I will need to wait to be able to buy this.
