@Namaya92 I hadn't thought about sharing my makeovers but that is because I am not wanting to commit myself to anything I can't deliver. I could get to the really tough SV townies and find that I simply can't go on! Having said that, I would be more than happy to share when I do finally finish it. I have no idea how to go about doing that but I will look into it I imagine the best way would be to share the simfiles themselves.
Your pics loaded easily the next time I visited the thread. I think either my internet was going slow (although the rest of the page loaded quickly) or your image hosting site was going through a slow patch when I was reading the page.
Pudding isn't an issue in my game. I actually had to hunt down a pudding in the premade bin to make my pudding family.

@MoonandStars83 Thank you It is sad that so many CC creators have gone the way of the dinosaurs but I guess it is to be expected given how long the game has been out. One good thing is that I have many Facebook friends who have been playing as long as I have who got into CC well before me and I have managed to get them to provide me with files of some things no longer available.

They've all been happily living in their home in Sunlit Tides for a few sim days and I have told the game it is to be treated as home.
I noticed Craig had the adventure to visit Egypt and deliver the beetles. That's the one that keeps vanishing. So I sent him to France to catch the beetles and took Haley and Dianna with him. Haley had something to complete in France and I thought Dianna could perform for tips and work towards her LTW by increasing the level she's at in the Magician career.
On arrival in France Craig had no adventures at all any more.
Haley soon completed her adventure and Dianna performed for tips and got to level 8 in the Magician career.
They own a vacation home in France and they stayed there.
I got Craig to return home and chose for all three of them to go home.
The trip home took a massively long time.
When they finally arrived I discovered the entire household had been moved to Isla Paradiso. They turned up in the original house that now has no furniture in it.
I closed without saving. Now I think I should have bought them a computer and made sure Isla Paradiso is now a vacation world for them.
I opened the game this morning and they are still in France. I was planning to send them to Sunlit Tides, but then thought I'll have another go at sending them home first to see what happens. I suspect they'll all end up in Isla Paradiso again. The return trip is taking a massively long time again.
If they do arrive back in Isla Paradiso I'll add a computer to the house and set that world as a vacation world. Just in case I didn't do that already. And then send them to Sunlit Tides and set Sunlit Tides as the home world again and see what happens when I send a few of them to China.
Nice updates everyone. I'm currently still sorting out my spare room that will become my computer room. I am now using it with my laptop but it still has a way to go before I can set it up for my new computer. A complication that has now suddenly happened is I'm being connected to the NBN on 31st and that means I have to stop work on this room and clear a spot for them to work on installing my NBN. It currently has spare computers and all sorts of photographic equipment and paperwork I've moved out of the way from this room all stored exactly where they will be working. On the bright side, when they finish the job I'll have unlimited downloads so there won't be any more of me running out of bandwidth. But it is just one more complication I don't need to have to deal with right now. I have to practice some singing today as it's choir practice tonight and also my cousin has invited me to lunch with some of her friends today so I have to go out for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. All nice things to do but a bit stressful for me to fit it all in.
I'll post pics of my game and to some comments later - probably tomorrow or on the weekend.

Danilo's morning wish to talk with Pepe didn't get granted over breakfast so they had a chat when they were done.
Shannon is very close to having enough perfect plants to achieve his LTW. Fortunately Jordan and Pepe had done all the hard work before he moved in

I couldn't remember if the boys had left the house recently and saw that the Mucho Espresso Cafe was within walking distance of the house. I sent Jordan and Pepe out to meet new people before they got stuck in the house with a new baby.
I sent Shannon and Mikezumi fishing because Mikezumi had a fishing wish.
Later in the morning, the kids went on a field trip to the Science Lab.
I was surprised when the bus rolled up across the street from the house! It would seem that the hospital and the Science Lab share the same rabbithole
So today in my sims game I started a new character. A random witch with blue hair who I placed in Bridgeport.. (I realised after making her that she kinda looks like my sister, oops) Anyway, she started clubbing right away, and at the second lot she visited on her first night of doing this, she met Lola Belle, whose hair, clothes, and makeup I immediately fixed. After somehow managing to impress her, they hit it off, and cut to them forming a group and visiting/hopping to every club, bar, divebar, and danceclub in Bridgeport.
At the end of the night, after some wreckless behaviour we somehow end up at Terpsichore Studios, where Matilda Smart manages to buzz us into her apartment while sleeping. (Made me chuckle even more than my Sherlock-Sim breaking into a vampire's house while he was sleeping to dust his dining room table for clues...)
My female witch and Matilda really hit it off... like really hit it off. :) She asks Matilda to move in really quickly and soon Matilda is her girlfriend!
Afterward, my witch rolled the wish to have more friends. I decided to indulge her and promise it. I decided to try a random NPC who I could get as easy as going down to the lobby of her apartment(Floodgate) and calling her. So I found an NPC named Jasmin Daniel, who honestly looked a bit like Mary Margaret from Once Upon a Time tbh once I fixed her clothing. I left her hair and face the same so I guess she probably looked like her before I fixed her clothing too, I guess I hadn't noticed! :)
Anyway, now this chick is acting all funny. She disappeared into thin air once, cancelling my sim's interaction with her and almost putting my sim through a wall. The only apartment besides mine that had had someone in it, where I thought she lived, now says "Nobody lives here." I checked all the other apartments and they all say that as well still. Yet I can still call her from the call-thingy in my lobby. SO I think she is slowly being fazed out of the world maybe, idk. Whatever, so I managed to socialise with her, become her friend, and fulfill the wish.
Oh, and of course I had to make my witch an altar >:)
I thought my witch's first day of existence was a productive one.

When I sent the boys home from the Cafe, Jordan went straight to the board breaker and Pepe read a book in a sitting room. When he finished his book, Pepe went out to ask Jordan for a game of catch. Before he could get the request out, he went into labor
I sent Pepe upstairs to have the baby. Sim Fu moves kept him focused between contractions

Shannon had a wish to see a concert so he and Mikezumi attended a concert at the Colosseum. I love the 10 minute concerts on Fridays!
Back at home, Jordan started on toddler training
Because the concert only took 10 minutes, Mikezumi got home with enough time to prepare tri-tip steaks for dinner
The boys watched the house after dinner
Gaspare needed to use the potty so I had Mikezumi take care of hs needs so the boys could have some alone time
While Mikezumi was taking care of Gaspare, I checked on Shannon and found him pinching Adelina's cheek! Love it!
While Mikezumi fed Gaspare, Danilo emptied the potty chair. I love how sims don't need to be directed to do some cleaning tasks

I was aiming for a sort of "metrosexual" (is that even still a word?) anti-macho look. The kind of guy you'd expect to see hanging out, as @Emily4331 said, in a poetry lounge, rather than working at city hall & the last guy in the world you'd expect to be trying to rule it.

And I never directed his romantic actions, so that is all Colin's own flirting there.
Whenever he met a kid in school, it was always a girl, when he brought a schoolmate home, always a girl, I don't think he even knew there were boys at school.
So he's actually a little girl crazy, & the only male friends he has are either relatives, or friends of the family.
I think of his style as another angle to get girls; "I'm not some macho meat-head on the make for a woohoo. I'm a harmless, trendy, sensitive boy.....Wanna go make out under the bleachers?"

"Not-So-Leisurely Day"
So I had this idea that I'd send the family, the whole household, to the park for Leisure Day. I'd even given the park a bit of updating.
The game had other plans however.
It decided Leisure Day was also the perfect Graduation Day! (I thought those were supposed to happen on saturdays?)
What bugs me about graduations is that they usually happen when everyone is filthy/tired/hungry & sims end up miserable by the time it's over.
This time, I was able to get everyone mostly clean, rested & fed before the ceremony started.
The family has 2 cars mind you, including the van there on the left ...and they all crammed into a taxi instead.
The kids got honors...mostly.
Maggie...well. I'd take offense at that "honor", except that with absent-minded, unlucky & heavy sleeper (& pyro to boot), I can totally see that going down.

@emorrill Its kinda funny we cry when our kids start school, we cry when they graduate. We cry when they move out....and yes, we cry when they want to move back in and you have to give up your sewing room. It really happened!! But, he didn't stay long that time, so I got it back. I still get all soppy at times when he texts me and asks me how to fix something I used to cook for him, or wants advice on something. Its awesome that he still needs me sometimes.
@Namaya92 -- Yeah I will definitely be going through to make sure I don't have doubles of things! Will probably add a few at a time anyway, instead of dumping in the whole lot at once. I have a few more mods to add in as well.

I have a sub-folder in my package folder that I've named CC, and then within that I have separate sub-sub-folders for Hairs, Skins, Eyes. @ShojoDagger may know how many levels you can go within the package folder before they stop working.

I remembered from my long ago makeover of SV that Blair was unfortunate looking and I wasn't looking forward to seeing her in CAS again but here she is!
Her gender swap is even worse!
Her nose, cheeks, jaw and chin were 100 percent pudding. The problem with working with pudding features is that they still look pudding even after tweaking unless I am prepared to completely change the sim I am working on. Since I am trying to preserve something of the original SV sims, I am holding back .... somewhat.
I foresee a celibate future for Blair.

That's what I love about Sims 3, everyone can play the characters the way they want. I like your tweak of River. Of course, you know my Selfacy. I love River's prominent features...and her chin seems to define her. But like they say, to each their own. Great job.

I agree with @Nikkei_Simmer . Everyone can play as they want & I have also been enjoying seeing @Mikezumi 's genetic makeovers.
But personally...I rather like River just as she is, especially her eyes/browline, nose & chin, the "McIrish profile" is quite distinctive.
Whoever made her did a good job of giving an Irish/Celtic look to her facial features.
The only thing I've ever changed on her was that I made her head narrower in one game, it's quite...square looking when she's a teen.
I've thought the same thing about Sandi's eyes, but what really mystifies me is... where, in the name of all that is Holy, did her nose come from?!

I'm not sure why you'd expect me to know that, but you piqued my curiousity about it.
I added a line of subfolders to my packages & put some cc in them.
Everything after that "cc3" level didn't show up in game. So that would be 4 sub-levels within the package folder.
I only have one level of subfolders in my package folder. Those are mainly my mods & a "new" subfolder for new cc I'm trying out.
I use CC Magic for general CC management, which can give you as many subcategories as you want because of the way it stores its files.
@ShojoDagger Ideally, I would like to keep the SV sims as close to their original as possible but, since the genetics system is very limited, some drastic measures are needed if I want to keep them in my town. I generally wipe out all but a couple of SV residents and populate the town with my own sims on starting a fresh save but I do remember enjoying playing a tweaked SV years ago. Since I lost that save when I moved back to Australia I am doing it over. I suspect my last tweaked version would not have made the cut for me now since my taste in sims has changed over the years.
@wendyyi1 The number of levels you can go depends on the resource.cfg. I remember a few years back reading that you could create your own using notepad and could go a lot further with the levels if you wanted.

I could get to the really tough SV townies and find that I simply can't go on! Having said that, I would be more than happy to share when I do finally finish it. Your pics loaded easily the next time I visited the thread. I think either my internet was going slow (although the rest of the page loaded quickly) or your image hosting site was going through a slow patch when I was reading the page.
Pudding isn't an issue in my game. I actually had to hunt down a pudding in the premade bin to make my pudding family.

Yesterday I played a bit.
They've all been happily living in their home in Sunlit Tides for a few sim days and I have told the game it is to be treated as home.
I noticed Craig had the adventure to visit Egypt and deliver the beetles. That's the one that keeps vanishing. So I sent him to France to catch the beetles and took Haley and Dianna with him. Haley had something to complete in France and I thought Dianna could perform for tips and work towards her LTW by increasing the level she's at in the Magician career.
On arrival in France Craig had no adventures at all any more.
Haley soon completed her adventure and Dianna performed for tips and got to level 8 in the Magician career.
They own a vacation home in France and they stayed there.
I got Craig to return home and chose for all three of them to go home.
The trip home took a massively long time.
When they finally arrived I discovered the entire household had been moved to Isla Paradiso. They turned up in the original house that now has no furniture in it.
I closed without saving. Now I think I should have bought them a computer and made sure Isla Paradiso is now a vacation world for them.
I opened the game this morning and they are still in France. I was planning to send them to Sunlit Tides, but then thought I'll have another go at sending them home first to see what happens. I suspect they'll all end up in Isla Paradiso again. The return trip is taking a massively long time again.
If they do arrive back in Isla Paradiso I'll add a computer to the house and set that world as a vacation world. Just in case I didn't do that already. And then send them to Sunlit Tides and set Sunlit Tides as the home world again and see what happens when I send a few of them to China.
Nice updates everyone. I'm currently still sorting out my spare room that will become my computer room. I am now using it with my laptop but it still has a way to go before I can set it up for my new computer. A complication that has now suddenly happened is I'm being connected to the NBN on 31st and that means I have to stop work on this room and clear a spot for them to work on installing my NBN. It currently has spare computers and all sorts of photographic equipment and paperwork I've moved out of the way from this room all stored exactly where they will be working. On the bright side, when they finish the job I'll have unlimited downloads so there won't be any more of me running out of bandwidth. But it is just one more complication I don't need to have to deal with right now. I have to practice some singing today as it's choir practice tonight and also my cousin has invited me to lunch with some of her friends today so I have to go out for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. All nice things to do but a bit stressful for me to fit it all in.
I'll post pics of my game and to some comments later - probably tomorrow or on the weekend.

Day 20 - Part 1
Jordan took care of Pepe's aching back before they came down to breakfast
Pepe was craving spaghetti and the rest of the household ate crepes.
Danilo's morning wish to talk with Pepe didn't get granted over breakfast so they had a chat when they were done.
Shannon is very close to having enough perfect plants to achieve his LTW. Fortunately Jordan and Pepe had done all the hard work before he moved in

I couldn't remember if the boys had left the house recently and saw that the Mucho Espresso Cafe was within walking distance of the house. I sent Jordan and Pepe out to meet new people before they got stuck in the house with a new baby.
I sent Shannon and Mikezumi fishing because Mikezumi had a fishing wish.
Later in the morning, the kids went on a field trip to the Science Lab.
I was surprised when the bus rolled up across the street from the house! It would seem that the hospital and the Science Lab share the same rabbithole

At the end of the night, after some wreckless behaviour we somehow end up at Terpsichore Studios, where Matilda Smart manages to buzz us into her apartment while sleeping. (Made me chuckle even more than my Sherlock-Sim breaking into a vampire's house while he was sleeping to dust his dining room table for clues...)
My female witch and Matilda really hit it off... like really hit it off. :) She asks Matilda to move in really quickly and soon Matilda is her girlfriend!
Afterward, my witch rolled the wish to have more friends. I decided to indulge her and promise it. I decided to try a random NPC who I could get as easy as going down to the lobby of her apartment(Floodgate) and calling her. So I found an NPC named Jasmin Daniel, who honestly looked a bit like Mary Margaret from Once Upon a Time tbh once I fixed her clothing. I left her hair and face the same so I guess she probably looked like her before I fixed her clothing too, I guess I hadn't noticed! :)
Anyway, now this chick is acting all funny. She disappeared into thin air once, cancelling my sim's interaction with her and almost putting my sim through a wall. The only apartment besides mine that had had someone in it, where I thought she lived, now says "Nobody lives here." I checked all the other apartments and they all say that as well still. Yet I can still call her from the call-thingy in my lobby. SO I think she is slowly being fazed out of the world maybe, idk. Whatever, so I managed to socialise with her, become her friend, and fulfill the wish.
Oh, and of course I had to make my witch an altar >:)
I thought my witch's first day of existence was a productive one.
Day 20 - Part 2
When I next checked on Mikezumi and Shannon they were both catching frogs!
Shannon doesn't look impressed but Mikezumi is thrilled and mentally planning how to cook them
When I sent the boys home from the Cafe, Jordan went straight to the board breaker and Pepe read a book in a sitting room. When he finished his book, Pepe went out to ask Jordan for a game of catch. Before he could get the request out, he went into labor
I sent Pepe upstairs to have the baby. Sim Fu moves kept him focused between contractions

Day 20 - Part 3
Shannon had a wish to see a concert so he and Mikezumi attended a concert at the Colosseum. I love the 10 minute concerts on Fridays!
Back at home, Jordan started on toddler training
Because the concert only took 10 minutes, Mikezumi got home with enough time to prepare tri-tip steaks for dinner
The boys watched the house after dinner
Gaspare needed to use the potty so I had Mikezumi take care of hs needs so the boys could have some alone time
While Mikezumi was taking care of Gaspare, I checked on Shannon and found him pinching Adelina's cheek! Love it!
While Mikezumi fed Gaspare, Danilo emptied the potty chair. I love how sims don't need to be directed to do some cleaning tasks

I was aiming for a sort of "metrosexual" (is that even still a word?) anti-macho look. The kind of guy you'd expect to see hanging out, as @Emily4331 said, in a poetry lounge, rather than working at city hall & the last guy in the world you'd expect to be trying to rule it.
Colin is definitely into girls.
And I never directed his romantic actions, so that is all Colin's own flirting there.
So he's actually a little girl crazy, & the only male friends he has are either relatives, or friends of the family.
I think of his style as another angle to get girls; "I'm not some macho meat-head on the make for a woohoo. I'm a harmless, trendy, sensitive boy.....Wanna go make out under the bleachers?"
Straight boys can be fabulous, too.

I haven't been regularly posting since the beginning of that game, so the posts are a bit scattered & some are even from before I could post pictures.
I'll have to put together a "flashback" post with older pictures & such. River & Sandi are elders now & elders like to reminisce, right?
"Not-So-Leisurely Day"
So I had this idea that I'd send the family, the whole household, to the park for Leisure Day. I'd even given the park a bit of updating.
The game had other plans however.
It decided Leisure Day was also the perfect Graduation Day! (I thought those were supposed to happen on saturdays?)
What bugs me about graduations is that they usually happen when everyone is filthy/tired/hungry & sims end up miserable by the time it's over.
This time, I was able to get everyone mostly clean, rested & fed before the ceremony started.
The family has 2 cars mind you, including the van there on the left ...and they all crammed into a taxi instead.
The kids got honors...mostly.
Maggie...well. I'd take offense at that "honor", except that with absent-minded, unlucky & heavy sleeper (& pyro to boot), I can totally see that going down.
*starts cooking*

I found Morgan eating something. I wondered where she got it, until I remembered that she's a mooch.

Shannon went home early.
I found her headed for the pool, but I have been extra cautious about the pool since Annan's near-drowning, so I told her play in the sprinkler instead.

I finally found the graduating grandson in the crowd, Colleen's younger son, Finn.
River wished to give him a present, so I gave him a book from River's inventory. It was a biography Fiona Sr. had written, "Who's Afraid of Morgana Wolff?".
The family had already started going home, & I made sure the rest took the toddlers with them.
Kelly's taking her "most artistic" title seriously.
With everyone else home, River scooped up the last toddler.
Surprise! They didn't make a baby, tho.

...but it still fits with a child's whimsy.

Since becoming "avant-garde", Maggie has started critiquing the artwork in the house. She didn't seem to think that this picture was art...
I think that's one of River's best paintings & Maggie doesn't know what the plum she's talking about.

@lisasc360 I hope your internet and video graphics card issues get striaghtened out soon. If I didn't have internet, I'd go completely bug-frickin' bananas. I've roasted Telus (our internet provider several times about erratic connections and sometimes the internet just hangs and the browser goes dead. They don't like it when I call because it usually means a service call.

(Truthfully I teared up a little when she left...and I'm not one of those crying moms but...something about her being away all day and being out in the world for so long on her own, kind of got to me. It's ok though, she had a wonderful first day, as I figured she would, and she's going to be just fine.

Do you (or anyone) know if the mods/CC/etc will still work if I added in sub-folders to my package folder? I mean, I have so many things in there now, it'd be much more organized if I could do that haha. I tried a google search but haven't come across a definitive answer yet.
Also, has anyone noticed that that Michael Jackson song "Someone in the Dark" (I think it was from E.T.?) is kind of... creepy? If you really listen to it?
@OriginalMara They do work in sub-folders, and you can go down at least another level again. I have a sub-folder in my package folder that I've named CC, and then within that I have separate sub-sub-folders for Hairs, Skins, Eyes.
@ShojoDagger may know how many levels you can go within the package folder before they stop working.

I remembered from my long ago makeover of SV that Blair was unfortunate looking and I wasn't looking forward to seeing her in CAS again but here she is!
Her gender swap is even worse!
Her nose, cheeks, jaw and chin were 100 percent pudding. The problem with working with pudding features is that they still look pudding even after tweaking unless I am prepared to completely change the sim I am working on. Since I am trying to preserve something of the original SV sims, I am holding back .... somewhat.
I foresee a celibate future for Blair.

I love these makeovers Mikezumi! Makes me really wish I could post pics of my remodeled Lola Belle, Jupiter Belle, Matilda Smart, and Jasmin Daniel. Oh well, I will do it when I'm a full member!

I agree with @Nikkei_Simmer . Everyone can play as they want & I have also been enjoying seeing @Mikezumi 's genetic makeovers.
But personally...I rather like River just as she is, especially her eyes/browline, nose & chin, the "McIrish profile" is quite distinctive.
Whoever made her did a good job of giving an Irish/Celtic look to her facial features.
The only thing I've ever changed on her was that I made her head narrower in one game, it's quite...square looking when she's a teen.
I've thought the same thing about Sandi's eyes, but what really mystifies me is... where, in the name of all that is Holy, did her nose come from?!

I'm not sure why you'd expect me to know that, but you piqued my curiousity about it.
I added a line of subfolders to my packages & put some cc in them.
Everything after that "cc3" level didn't show up in game. So that would be 4 sub-levels within the package folder.
I only have one level of subfolders in my package folder. Those are mainly my mods & a "new" subfolder for new cc I'm trying out.
I use CC Magic for general CC management, which can give you as many subcategories as you want because of the way it stores its files.
