Your WIP Vet Clinic is looking very nice! @Corwim The wall patterning, tower and roofing looks very great! The flower box windows are pretty touches.
It is looking great!
@rosemow thank you for the kind words and the link!
@zathyra and @crysk thanks for all those tips! I was doing so many things incorrectly haha. Btw what is the best way to locate gardening plants and the ponds? I searched for apple and fish and found a few items, but is there an easier way? Would I see all the ponds by searching fish or are there a few named something else? Thanks!
@Soraya4sims I love the Dutch Colonial house. so pretty. still looking for suggestions on the stairs? from the entry have a long hallway with stairs to the side and maybe a secondary set in the kitchen. However you build it im sure its going to look great.

The Pet Supply Store WIP looks great! @BlueShreve It suits Brindleton Bay well! The curved roofing and tower looks great! The blue exterior looks nice and it is nice that there is an upper balcony. It is a great idea to have a pet supply store for the world
Your new dog Avi looks great!
@rosemow thank you for the kind words and the link!

@Nore , once you have activated the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat, if you search for fishing, at least one of the fishing ponds will come up and then if you choose that one, the others will be nearby. Similarly, if you search for apple tree, many plantable fruit, vegetables and herbs will be nearby.

i usually just search for tomato in the debug items and scroll through from there. the ponds look somewhat like weird rings in the preview icon so you might have scrolled past them. they should be close to the fishing signs
Thanks guys! Been working on this a lot, determined to get the cost to the correct range haha. I tried searching for apple or grape and lettuce but I can only see the individual pieces of fruit/vegetable. I feel like I am missing something because I don't see the actual plant at all. I did see the trees however, and used 2 apple or cherry trees for landscaping.
I managed to get the cost down to 25k including all the items inside and the lot. I followed the starter guide and believe I have all the correct required indoor items. The build was requested for a toddler family, so there are also 4 toddler items, the toddler dining chair and a few others.
I wondered if anyone could tell me what the cost of a starter for a couple with a toddler would be? I feel like I read somewhere that it is 20k and another 2k for every member of the family, so would it be 24k?
Also if anyone has any advice on further things I could do to lower the cost based on the pictures below? I am determined to make a starter without altering the aesthetic originally went for. So far it feels like it is working. I want to likely replace all the plants in the back with garden stuff. I replaced the rocks with free ones. The trees each cost 20 I believe and the pond was free. I know the chandelier is an unnecessary expense under the balcony but it just connects the entire look so well haha. The windows are also likely quite expensive but I just wasn't satisfied with the look by replacing them with less expensive options. (Have to yet organise the inside items, just kind of threw them in there to see how much the total cost would be).
@Nore plant the fruits/veggies/flowers in live mode, if i remember correctly you can't upgrade the plants from debug. also the gallery is full of rooms with perfect plants, place one/several somewhere in the basement and pull out the plants
Hello @Nore
Your WIP is looking very nice! Very nice design of the exterior of the home! The layout of the build looks very nice! The car port looks great!
The household funds for that family would be 24 k.
@crysk Thanks for that tip! The gallery seems like a much easier option than going into live mode haha. There are gardening flowers as well? I figured it was all fruits and veggies? Btw, not sure if you know one, but is there a particular gallery choice you choose when you want gardening plants, if you have a name I could try searching for it. Thanks again!
@rosemow thank you and thank you as well for the information, I definitely feel I could get this down to below 24k with a little ingenuity haha.
This is a link to the Aussie forum with my latest WIP. It's easier to post pictures over there.
I still have a long way to go and I still might change the windows and doors as I really wanted wood, but getting things to match is so difficult. I am still fairly happy with it though.
Your WIP looks so very nice! @sawdust Very nice exterior and layout of the build! The roofing looks so very nice! You have reflected the inspiration home so very well!

made my own, so yeah nope just make sure it either has all or at least the ones you want and yeah there are flowers too like roses and lilies
@Rosemow thank you for that link Definitely some good collections to see haha.
@Blueshreve thank you! That is my favourite part too haha.
@sawdust I didn't even know there were Aussie forums haha!
@crysk Ah okay. Is there any way you could link some of your rooms with free plants or other free items on the gallery? I have been searching through the gallery and gone through dozens of options but the least expensive plants I could see on there are 10-15 dollars. Gardening and other free items seems invaluable for creating starters haha, pun intended
I can't believe how much I'm struggling with this. orz
Any suggestions for colours anyone?
You’re WIP is looking very nice ! @reanseih Very nice design of the exterior and and the roofing looks great! The glass windows rooftop tower is a very nice touch.
I am not sure what colours to suggest, but will look forward to seeing what you decide to use
@reanseih your house is looking great, i like the pergola covered balcony and the windowed tower looks really cool. Have you thought about some light colored earth tone colors?

This room lot has all the plants that are in the game up until the plantsim challenge. Plants that are in harvest though will add to the cost of the build
