Two of my favourite things, baking and the Sims! Finally getting my new larger cooker tomorrow so have lots of baking planned! Am inspired to source a diamond shaped cookie cutter and make some plumbob biscuits! Once I am a full member of the forum I will post some pictures. I have really missed baking!
I don't know what I love more.. Star Wars or Sims?

Hello @yellowfish85 It is great that you are getting a new larger cooker tomorrow. You will enjoy baking in it! Your idea to create pulmbob shaped biscuits sounds great!
You are very welcome to post pictures of your baking here! I will look forward to seeing the pictures
Thank you @rosemow ! My oven broke just over a month ago, decided to remodel the kitchen so we could upgrade to a bigger one. It has been a bit of a nightmare with no cooker to use, making meals has been interesting and I have missed making biscuits and cakes. Feel a bit silly being so excited about a kitchen appliance! x

Hello @SomaSin You are very welcome to post pictures of baked goods when you become a full member.
The cakes that simmers have been posting do look delicious! They are creative as well!
I wanted to share a couple of "Kit Kat" cakes I made.
The first is really easy to make. Just bake and frost 2 circular cakes. Then break up Kit Kat candy bars. ( I usually buy a 10 or 12 pack of candy bars, because sometimes you have a broken candy bar. Extras can be frozen or just plain gobbled up.). Just break them into sticks and line the entire perimeter of the cake. Fill the top with your favorite candy. I used M&Ms here, but jelly beans might be used at Easter, or red and green candies at Christmas. Then tie a cute bow around the cake. Easy and fun for kids! Anyone can do this! You could even dress up a store bought cake. I made this for my niece and nephew when they visited last. Kids could totally make this cake.
The next Kit Kat cake was for my daughter's birthday. She is a dance major in college, and her birthday fell right on a spring show, so I knew there'd be lots of hungry dancers and people to eat it after their show! I know this looks like I made it for a toddler, but I thought she'd get a kick out if it anyway. She was the one who told me about Kit Kat cakes, so I knew she'd want one.
I turned the Kit Kat bars around on this cake to make them look more rustic, like a barrel. The water was swirled white and blue frosting, barely mixing the color together. The duckies were thoroughly washed before placing on the cake, and I put a little wax paper disk, cut to fit, underneath them, in case the rubber taste or chemicals would transfer. There are black fondant bands around the "barrel" as well to make it look rustic. I even brushed them with a coppery color of glittery frosting powder to make them look more metallic. It turned out cute! And I am by no means a cake decorator! Chocolate round cakes with chocolate frosting. Vanilla sheet cake with cream cheese frosting on the base. This is easy enough, it just takes some time and lots of frosting colors- but you don't have to have any great skill set! The grass frosting is just piped on and looks weedy. You could do this as a simple Duckie barrel without the sheet cake underneath too. It's easy, I promise!
Hello @TarynTempestwind Your Kitkat cakes look so very great! The ducks look very cute in the water! The first cake looks very colourfully nice with the M&M's on top of it and the yellow bow ribbon around the edges of it! The cakes would be delicious to eat as well! They both look so very creative and fun! Thankyou very much for both posting the pictures of the cakes as well as explaining how to create them! It is nice that both cakes involve placing kitkats around the edges of the cake.
Thankyou!
I've never really been into cake decorating as I don't have much patience. But it was a colleagues last day at work as she was retiring. She would always bring in these amazing cakes for all of us so I decided to return the favor. As well as making up a baking hamper for her, i made her a cupcake bouquet. It was hard and took a really long time. This is it half finished:
Last year was my sisters 40th birthday. She loves adidas trainers lol. So I had this made for her. She absolutely loved it!
The cupcake bouquet and the Addidas themed birthday cake are so very, very great! @simlish1 You are so very talented and so very creative! They look so very special! You friend and your sister would have been so delighted when they saw the cupcake bouquet and the themed birthday cake!
Thankyou so much for sharing the photos of them here!
