Something Special?

I am just curious to find out if there is something special that you do or if there's something special that you own? For me I own a brown bear which I got years ago. I can't have been older than ten. My dad had pulled up at work and we had got out of the car and then I had been sick! His co-worker had given me a brown bear which I still own today (I am seventeen now).

Also I have a brown box which is where I keep everything that's close to me. Christmas cards from the family, my Alzheimer's walk t-shirt, etc. Other people probably do similar things but that box means the world to me. It's memories from over the years and I'll try and never lose anything inside of it!

I also own a bear that is special to me, it's a big teddy bear named Suzuki. I got it from my father after I asked him if I could have it, how he ended up wih a big teddy bear sitting on the sofa in his bedroom for years beats me though. He's always there to lend me his ear when I'm feeling down and even accepts my hugs whenever I wish it. He wears a ribbon and I change it from time to time, I even bring him cheesecake sometimes (but in the end it's me who ends up eating it lol) I love him very much :smiley:

One special thing I do is run a forum for young girls to talk about their problems, worries and happy times and everything else. Been administrating the thing for 5 years now. It has become quite quiet these days but hopefully we'll get new crowd after we advertise it a bit.
I really love doing it so I hope it won't die out.

I have lots of things that are special and meaningful to me in one way or another.
I do own the first ever bear I received. I got a Care Bear from my Dad when I was born, forgotten which one it is - has the heart on his belly. Still own him and he's still in one piece

Hello @MiffoShort Your brown box where you keep items that are special to you is very nice. I have a table where I keep special cards or notes that I have received. They are precious reminders of people that have written to me or given me cards. Some are standing up on the table whilst others are laying down. They make me smile every time I look at them.

Hello @KoumoriDiru It is very special that you have the Care Bear that your Dad gave you when you were born. Care Bears are great teddies. I think that your care bear is called the Tenderheart care bear.

I gave my son a Gund Mooky Walrus when he was a baby that belonged to me and he was instantly attached. That walrus, who my son affectionately called Baby, went everywhere with him and he couldn't sleep without it. I washed that toy so many times and Baby even got washed once when the maids at a hotel mistakenly took him with the sheets. Luckly we got him back since they normally dump stuff like that in the garbage. My son will be 22 on Dec 12th and we still have baby. The walrus has lost some fur and both tusks but he's deeply loved. ♡♥♡

I still have the blanket my grammy made me when I was a baby, she died when I was 4 so it's all I really have left of her and I don't even have any real memories as I was so young (a couple very vague ones that's all). It mostly stays on the shelf now so it doesn't fall apart as I've had it for 20 something years, but I have been known to grab it on occasion and curl up with it when I've been dealing with something really rough in life, mainly when I was younger not so much now, it's been several years but it's always there and it'll always be special.

Hello @minov39 Your son's walrus Baby sounds such a very treasured and special walrus. It is very nice that it was yours and then after giving it to your son it has been and continues to be a part of your family's life for these 22 years. Our childhood toys are such special parts of our lives that continue on through our lives. Their fur is always worn from all the hugging that they receive

Hello @dreamerz13 Your grandma's blanket is a special comfort for you. It is very nice that she made the blanket for you, and it is a special connection between you and your grandma who has passed away. Family given items can bring help when we aren't feeling too good. Sometimes just by looking at or holding them they help to calm us.

Hello @jbreland1230 It was very loving of your nieces and nephews to make you the stuffed kitty. It would have cheered you whilst you were sick, and continues to be a special treasured item for you. I am sorry that you were sick. I hope that you are feeling better from your sickness now.

But on the bright side your family did make something extremely nice for you, something that you can now treasure
