Man, it's been forever since I've been on this thread. Glad to see it's still going strong though. Lovely pictures, everyone.
I started playing WA again recently, it never really interested me before, I got bored so quickly. But when I actually appreciate the scenery, it's worth it for that alone. Especially China (I haven't gotten to Egypt yet, though).
I thought I had some nice France photos too, but I dunno what happened to them, so I'll just skip on to my favourite custom world, Saint Greer Islands.
(I still gotta find those France pics though )

Now I know where my sims are going for their next holiday these are gorgeous!!!
Today, admiring one ordinary morning in Twinbrook, I wanted to post a tribute to all the old, the forgotten, the industrial, the dirty. Used things with a soul, that were forgotten a bit in the sims lately.

amazing pictures @Candyd thay are amazing btw i didnt play in twinbrook in a while i need to revisit that town its a one and one more thing whats you lighting mod(s)? becuase your game look very nice! i love that saturation on the sun
@adamzaid I was testing this mod, with this and this. The result is beautiful. I waited a very long time before installing a lighting mod because I really wanted to find something without extreme color saturation. Nights are nice too, they're darker and much less blue. The only bad thing I've seen on the first night is that the sky is so dark that you can easily see color gradients on clouds, but it surely was a very dark night so I hope it won't happen very often, I'll keep playing with it to see.
@Candyd I love the almost abandoned feeling! Make me wish to start a post-apocaliptic legacy! *_*
I never played much Twinbrook, but I may rethink about it...
I'm gonna start way too many games!!! but if there is one thing I love is how many different ways one can play the sims 3...

^ That's why I love TS3, it's not that candylike, childish.
I still like SIms 3, you just can't beat the worlds and don't forget Sim 3 has the Seasons.
True but not all worlds are breathtakingly beautiful...like *Twinbrook.* However, it inspired me to create the characters from the The Boxcar Children book and their boxcar home directly over the old tracks. After some trial & error, I was successful! Pretty crazy eah? No, I didn't "photoshop" any of these pics. (Hope this isn't considered high-jacking.)
Placed down the tracks from 167 Jebidiah Parkway (Juan's Pick 'n Pull Junkyard >>> that way) and directly behind a permanent lot that's behind 1252 Riverside Road, (Twinbrook Storage Corporation Warehouse.) Get all that?
^^ Wow, those pictures witr trainrail make me want to play another worlds than Sunset Valley, Egypt, France, China and University. It looks like railway model.

Totally agree, and the message and pictures' intent are a suggestion for developers, for next time
All these pictures are so beautiful! I stalked this thread for so long, and I was always jealous of how everyone's game looked -- and now I just got my new laptop and it gives amazing graphics in TS3. I can't wait to share some pictures in here later.

I love this thread so much, I swear I spend more time looking at the scenery than paying attention to my sims lol. So many great pictures, @ChelleJo@dreamerz13@Sunnyyesjams in particular really caught my eye!
I installed a new lighting mod and the Nilxis sky and clouds and I LOVE it.
ETA: Oops, the sky and clouds are actually wasset, not nilxis lol

And a random shot from Aurora Skies.
A few recent ones from me:
I especially like the balance of the delicate complementary colors in this one.
Love this one.
I'll have to check out Alpine Meadows and Greer Islands. They look beautiful.
These 3 look so real... It's incredible. The atmosphere is magical. The first one reminds me almost exactly of my trip on the French Riviera.
