edit in cas cheat not working

How do I get it working again? I can go into cas but it won't let me change the age group, genetics and traits.

cas.fulleditmode

Are you entering testing cheats first? Do the other options come up when you shift + click your sim?

I entered "testingcheats true". And the option pops up and goes into cas but I can't do anything in there.

Oh I didn't enter " cas.fulleditmode". Maybe that's why.

Actually for some of us it is true and false! On and off do not work in my game.
Strange but that is how it works for me.

That is so strange - I have to use "on & off"

Also, after you turn on testingcheats you type in the cas.fulleditmode before going into CAS. It will not work if you type it in after you're there. (At least it won't for me.)

LOL And here we thought we all got the same game!

One of the other Sims series was like this. I think 3, my friend who also played couldn't use the same command I used. Really weird!
