Lol this hand of god thing is funny, until recently (like the last week or so) dragging and dropping rubbish and plates into the bin wasn't something I realised I could do, so I've basically been doing hard mode this whole time XD
Oh wow! I think I've always done it in all the Sims games!
@Rainydayz179 - Haha indeed, I kept the same one for the longest time. If it's any consolation, it's the same sim (my sim!self), aged down to a toddler

It's cute! I don't remember you ever having a different one so I did a double-take!
Are there any rules in place for vampires yet? I mean they seem pretty balanced with ups and downs.
They would remain in the household forever or until they are cured and die of old age (if they don't die accidentally) so you get plenty of time for them to earn skill or aspiration points. Anyone born vampire or turned as a teen will leave at young adulthood if they aren't the heir/spouse.
However, they have serious downsides too, like eventually having to drink from someone, and autonomously using their powers, potentially damaging household relationships, causing need failures and even contributing to accidental death counts.
I've started up a ISBI challenge save, so far the TH has been created and moved onto a lot that I built with her funds but that's it. I got pulled away to do other things but hoping to get back to it tomorrow while the man paints or tonight after my night shift.
I was looking for something fun to play and out of my comfort zone since I'm currently writing a legacy with a heavy story line. This way I have something fun to escape too when I get bored or writers block. I hope to blog my progress as well but we shall see!
I just started mine (the Wise ISBI Legacy, I'm hoping the name will bring me good luck ) and given her an apartment. I'm not 1000% certain it's rule adherent but....it's definitely a challenge lol
This sounds like fun and hell at the same time, which is always nice. @Lynnwood I've read your Goth-Sanity and I loved it. You did really well, too. When I complete Murkland I might try this too because I guess it doesn't get more game-driven than that
@EmmaVane - I did change the rules to include them in acceptable life-states, I just never announced it. So yes, they're allowed. Whether or not you keep your immortal former THs in your household or move em out eventually is up to you. Otherwise they don't really effect the ISBI game play.

Cool. I did reread the first post several times (I have it open while playing because bad memory), but wasn't sure because they weren't mentioned. Search also turned up nothing.
I just don't like limiting potential townie lovers due to species.
@EmmaVane - No prob! And sry I never got back to you. I remember reading your question when the Vampire pack first came out, and then I must've been distracted by a shiny object because I COMPLETELY forgot about it lolol. And you're right about being inclusive to species. Some of my favorite sims (and game play) has been with 'occult sims,' so even though some of them are very cheat-y in nature, I didn't want to prohibit any of them from being used in the ISBI.
@Lynnwood I wished for a child at the well without making an offering (a bad decision, I know) and I have ended up with a ghost child, with my Gen 7 TH for a mother.
Can I get rid of her or do I have to keep her?

@RL - There's no rules against 'getting rid' of undesirable children. And technically since the two options for children are either 'be born' or 'adopt as an infant,' that well-wished ghost child wouldn't be eligible for TH heirhood anyhow.
With vampires, I'd assume selecting powers and weaknesses are free actions on both modes, considering they can't choose them autonomously after spawning?
Also, we can take family leave and holiday for NTHs, but what about sick days when they are genuinely ill?
@EmmaVane - Yes, selecting powers would be a free action (as it's merely the player fiddling in the UI, the sim isn't actually doing anything). And yes, you can take sick days (though I know schools will sometimes automatically make sick children stay home, dunno if that's the case with adult sims going to work though).

Thanks. But she's cute and isn't super-troublesome so I think I might just keep her around.

I'll random generate my founder too, and reapply Cursed for lulz.
This way I get toddlers from the start, and will avoid the whole 5 kids in Gen 1 thing too.
