Sims 4 Expansion Pack Ideas

    I have an idea.

    1. Sims 4: Sports
no town but new building (gym) and other fields for soccer or baseball etc. In the gym your sims would have to set everything up but it would be quick.
    I. Each sport is a skill level and each level they go up they learn a new move or get better at one. Each sport would go up to level 10.

II. The sports would be Volleyball, baseball, basketball (just in case you don't have City living), soft ball, soccer, football, tennis, golf, kickball, track and field.

III. The skills/sports could come an occupation at level 5. Your sim would get a call from a coach inviting them to the team and it's kind of like a get to work job. Your sim can also be a coach. Your sims could play against other teams in games and tournaments. Also there eventually will be an olympics where every town would compete.

IV. New clothes according to the sport and fun tee shirts with sayings for each sport or a picture of the sport your sim plays.

    V. There will be two new cars: van and bus.

VI. Your sims that go to high school can play for the school. They would have to try out though. They can also play outside of school by signing up for a league.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

We already have a Gym, a Spa, an Athletics career and a Basketball court. We can randomly excercise in the street too. With these already present, half of your idea is redundant, and several of the sports you've suggested are impractical; they would require the most part of an entire lot, which could be put to much better use. Team sports are also impractical because you need TWO teams; as it is Basketball is mostly restricted to shooting hoops. If you want a golf course, play SimGolf.

    We're not getting vehicles either.

Why not ask for a ping-pong table or snooker/pool.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

I really want Pets, and different pet game packs like Circus, zoo, Farm, Mystical. Woodland creature, Jungle, out of this world pets and animals. A toddler stuff pack, A disability and mutation game pack with the option to change heights for every kind of person, More Super natural in depth like vampires, but for Fairies, mermaids, witches, and Elfs, and ect. More career random career options like Fashion designer where you could actually design your clothes from start to finish with a sewing machine, fabric making machine, and ect. Jewelry making by finding crystals and chisel them down to jewelry. And lots of other careers. Maybe a new world like Sixam where you can live and have venues.

How about a Hunting Pack. It's never been featured in The Sims. It could add new animals (ex.Lions and Ducks) and traits (ex.clever) and maybe a new active job (ex. hunter) and a new vacation destination (based on something like Africa)

Self-centered&entilted much? If we wanted a basketball, they could have given as SimBasketball, right ;)? "because you need TWO teams" and that's an issue because... ???

First post since making this forum account, I mostly lurk. Just figured I'd creep out of my cave for a bit.
    Howdy everybody! C:

My idea was sort of focused on trying to give various types of sims, based on their personalities (Geek, Athletic, Artistic, etc.), new types of hobbies and games. This would meld nicely with a lot of the other expansion packs, especially Get Together.

    The Sims 4: Game Night
(couldn't think of any better name. "The Sims 4: Hobbies" sounds weird and bland to me. )

Expansion pack featuring numerous hobbies and activities for various types of Sims.

    For the Geekier Crowd:

"Sims and Dragons", a 4 player tabletop game with 1 player posing as the Game Master directing the other 3 players and their characters to form a fun and interactive story.
The group would be able to resume their adventure if all of them are present, leaving the game board set up on the table or leaving it with one of the players in their inventory.

In addition to this, perhaps a new "Arcade" or "Comic Book Store" lot for Geeks to hang out in, to play SnD and video games together.

    For the Athletic:

Pool, Foosball tables, and the return of sporting balls to play catch with as well as the frisbee and the hacky sack.
Athletic oriented sims would be able to wrestle (arm wrestle?), as well as hold juice kegger parties.
Was going to add bowling too to this mix, but that's apparently upcoming, so nyeh.

Maybe an expanded bar lot that features room for pool tables and the like.

    For the Artistic:

Additional instruments (drums, woodwind and/or brass instruments, the upright bass or electric bass guitar) to enable jam sessions at Jazz Clubs/coffee shops. Said clubs would also be able to house poetry reading sessions as well. Could potentially see the return of sculpting too.

Would include a variety of new CAS options as well.
For Geeks, for their SnD sessions, they'd have fantasy costumes of Wizards, etc.
Athletic/Bro sims would get a variety of sport jackets and stuff you'd expect Jocks to wear.
The Artistic crowd would get more hipster/jazzy outfits to fit with the jazzy coffee shop sort of scene.

For the sports ideas, I think it would be cool if there was an arena, where there could be football and cheer leading, as well as other sports. I still think there needs to be a sims 4 carnival pack, where sims can go ride coasters, Farris wheels, and carousels, and win prizes. That would be fun!

Wanted to throw my hat in the ring for some Expansion Pack ideas. I've tried to read through as much as I can in this and some other threads so I apologize if I repeat something. This is a big place...

These are trying to fit within some of the existing frameworks I thought about and some interactions that I thought would be fun.

"Get together 2" - More reasons for your Sims to interact. These would require:
    - props
    - animation
    - multiple Sims
    - these activities should/can provide skills

More Arcade-style games like air hockey, Dancing Games, competitive basketball games, Wack a Mole, etc
Carnival games with a variety of Midway activities, shooting galleries, dunk tanks, etc
Table games like playing cards, Board games, RPGs (Accountants and Actuaries, Sorcerers and Sewers, etc)
Outdoor activities like playing catch (baseballs, frisbees), flying Kites
Music activities like adding drum kits that could be put together with other instruments so Sims can form a band.

"Up All Night" - Activities and things that will keep your Sims partying and increase after hours interactions. Would require:
    - props
    - animations
    - may require a "Night Owl" style aspiration
    - may require a dedicated costume clothing slot
    - these activities should/can provide skills

Energy Drinks or Caffiene stimulants are available via machines/appliances
Gambling/Casino games to keep your Sims occupied
Tournaments (Gaming, Darts, Dance, Bowling, Eating, Basketball, ie anything already built into other game modes)
Telling Spooky Stories (uses campfires, lanterns, new kid item: Blanket/Cushion Fort)
"Hide & Go Seek" mode on current lot
More Pranks (Toilet paper Trees, Leave things on porches/Ring Doorbells & hide, Delivery pranks)
More party modes like Dance, Pool, Slumber or Masquerade triggered at a home or location and random/invited Sims wear appropriate attire
    - Slumber Party could include: Pillow fights, Scary Stories
    - Dance Parties would be spontaneous and could use dance floors, radios, or multiple instruments
    - Pool Party Sims would actually swim and/or horse around at the pool
    - Masquerades or spontaneous costume parties could include costume contests, party games, themes, etc

    Thanks for reading.

I'm intrigued by the direction the Gurus are taking us with TS4. It's new and different, but they are trying to keep some old favorites in the game as well. As for expansion packs, I do want Pets most definitely, but besides Pets I want new and never seen before, with concepts of certain packs/content mixed into the blend of it.

For example- Island Paradise TS3/Bon Voyage TS2/World Adventures TS3 all rolled into one pack- Vacation Fun, since TS4 titles are a bit cheesy, but something else that I also really like this go-around.

Many Simmers really want a tropical island. Been there, done that, but what could really make it become the best expansion pack we've ever seen? Why not a tourist/vacation themed world. It could consist of a beach, a pier with an amusement park, a deserted tropical island where our sims can live off the island and wait to be rescued like in Castaway. Resort hotel that our sims can go to enjoy, or have the opportunity to manage, complete with casino, arcade, and wedding chapel, while one two of the neighborhoods consisted of renting a beach house near the beach, while the other was an elite class neighborhood with cliff-side vacation mansions our sims can buy.

Our families can vacation at this whole new world packed with all things related to Summer Vacation Fun... go to the amusement park on the pier and enjoy the ocean by swimming, playing volleyball, snorkel, building sandcastles, collecting seashells, encounter a mermaid, have a BBQ. Our sims can travel to the island, get stranded, and live off the land in hopes of being rescued, or choose to live out the rest of their lives on the island. Have a world full of new and exciting new activities, with some classics thrown about.

Hi I just started a account here on the forums! I know recently that they have asked us to vote for future stuff packs but I was a little disappointed(I still love the sims) when a university theme was not in there:( I really love Sims 3 university life and was hoping that EA could bring it back to the Sims 4. I will wait forever for the Sims 4 university life expansion!!! :#

I'm dreaming of "Travel" addon! Travel for Sims in new and interesting places - e.g. the amazing masked ball in Venice or a tour of London or - even more mysterious - the alien city, which is visible in the distance in Sixam.

I want another career expansion. But thats not likely to happen since they already tried that. It's too bad that they didn't consult fans for that decision. Because we could have had some amazing in depth careers to explore.

I've seen ideas for sims 4 'Find Love': more dating, and romantic animations and items. I think it would be cool if you could give sims romantic cards and chocolates, as well as flowers. It would also be nice if there could be wedding cakes...I've been dying to have a wedding cake shop! Boats rides in a park with ducks would be cool....under bridges and such. The list could go on and on. Thank you for your time.

Yes, we need a sims 4 "Hot Date". More kissing, flirting, interactions.

    Seasons Merges With Holidays:

Hello Simmers! I have a new expansion pack idea. I loved seasons for sims 3 and all of the animations, snowboarding, ice skating, etc. and I think it would be awesome to have the seasons correspond with eventful holidays, along with the usual fun season stuff as we saw in sims 3.

A mall type of store where they sell cards, coquette of roses or other flowers, chocolates, as well as other things that could be gifts.

Winter holiday: I think it would be awesome if there could be a gift giving/holiday party, with fizzy champagne drinks that sims can blow up, firecrackers, and poppers, as seen in the sims 2. Gifts that can be packaged at the mall or elsewhere for Christmas or whatever else is celebrated. Holidays foods desserts are also very important. I have been dying to have a Christmas bakery: snowman, tree, and Santa cookies, Christmas cake pops, and other Christmas things that can decorate or be sold. It would be awesome if during this season Santa and his reindeer land in front of the sims house and brings out a bag of toys. Maybe somewhere throughout the game the sim could develop a gift wish list and get that gift from Santa. I think it would be nice if there was a Santas workshop in the mall during the Christmas season where kids can go sit on Santas lap. Just like in sims 2, it would be cool if there could be Santa cookies that you can bake, and Santa would come in and eat them.

New Years: Alike to the previous request to gift giving party, I think there should be a New Years bash full of new content. New beverages like a peppermint martini, hot cider. I would love bigger fireworks for this party.

Valentines Day: This holiday is very important I think, because it's never been implemented in the sims before, that I know of. I think it would be awesome if there could be new food recipes for a romantic valentines day dinner: oysters, cookies for valentines day and cake pops, things that can be sold in bakeries or stores, Like in my previous post, the "Find Love" Idea that many people want, whether it is in this pack or another "find love" pack I think different types of proposes would be the coolest thing: ring in champagne, cake, etc. (perhaps you could tell the waiter in the restaurant) or things to make engagements more romantic. I think being able to give to sims bouquet of roses, flowers, and more importantly a heart box of chocolates. It would be so cool if sims could have a chocolate maker like the cupcake maker, too. Along with these items, I think sims should be able to give cards, whether they are romantic, or friendship - and teddy bears. I think the sims should be able to leave them on their doorstep or give them to the other sim in person.

Spring: Like in the patch, I think it would be awesome to be able to decorate eggs and hunt them in scavenger hunts with cute baskets- and have Easter bunny chocolate. I think it would be cool if there could be croquette games and other springtime sports, and harvest plants. It would be cool if nutrition was added to this season, since everything is blooming and such, and if there could be new harvests for super food drinks, something you could actually sell (I would love to have a juice bar store)

Summer: I love the summer! It would be cool if there could be summer cook out parties, everything is in bloom, Summer roller skating (like in the sims 3) would be cool, face painting, boat rides in a pond, I think there should be more food and drinks oriented for the summer, fruity with umbrella tops, and cabooses for the grill. I know yoga was in Spa Day, but myself, as well as a lot of other people, would like a Yoga instructor career, and to also be able to own a spa.
Back to summer though, I think there should be cooking competitions, eating competitions, as there were on the fair grounds. Maybe it would be a good idea to have fair grounds again, but just in one place. I would love that. I think EA games does a great job with coming up with ideas, and these are just some for consideration. Summer sports might also be nice.

    Halloween/Fall:
This is my favorite holiday! I would like to see costumes, trick or treating, pumpkins everywhere, new Halloween cookies, cakes, and desserts. It would be cool if there could be a haunted house venue where sims could get spooked. Please oh please make candy corn a candy for the sims, and Halloween pops.
For the fall: I think apple picking and pumpkin picking would be very nice, if there could be lots where you pay and then go and harvest. It reminds me: in the summertime there should also be strawberry picking.

Thank you for listening to my silly ideas (: regardless I think overall it could bring a lot of fun stuff to the game we love. I hope there will be a sims 4 Seasons with Holidays, Farm Life, and Find Love.

I want "real" Holidays so badly !

I am 1000% behind adding a few features from the sims 3. I REALLY want to see the return of an open world. Honestly, I want this as a patch. It did not make much logical sense that we had to pay for 'Dine Out' when in the sims 3 we had it in the base game. Anything that they add and has been presented in past Sims base games should be a patch.

I think a music pack would be great. Some features:

    - The ability to play music with others, a new skill for that. New goals like making a legendary band. And new careers related too.
    - Forming a band or going solo, selecting the name, outfits and the music style, like the groups managing in Get Together with the selection of a place to practice. I imagine a band playing in a garage, making noise, annoying the neighbors xD.
    - A new building like a theater to place in some area, and new objects to build a stage in bars and pubs with lights and decorations.
    - A new area with a stadium and some places to make shows. Maybe recording studios too if you don't have a place to practice. And the possibility to build one.
    - New instruments of course. A drum set, bass, trumpets, etc. And new styles of music to choose to listen and play with instruments.
    - Sims personalization content related to differents styles of bands. Imagine forming a band like Kiss and putting all the makeup and costumes... awesome!

All that would work nice with Get Together and Dine Out for making your own theaters or places to perform. Making pubs with stages for bands to come and gather clients, making events to gain points. Some areas like the ruins in Get Together would be awesome with a stage and a band playing music with the bonfires and stuff.

Think about it, it will be a nice pack worth to buy for me.

I really want a hobbies expansion or game pack and think this would be a great addition that would also be completely new. The animations could be tied to a game board that could be placed on any regular table. Animations could include rolling dice, the dunegon master telling a story, chatting, etc. They could also have the images swirling around like they do when toddlers play. If they add costumes, clicking on the game board could enable costume changes (dress up as wizard, knight, rogue, whatever).

Such a pack could also add sewing and pottery, bands, sports, and activities for kids (kites, playground equipment, games).

    Sims 4 office game pack:
Sims work in an office from bottom to the top (coffee maker to the boss). The office can belong to any type of industries such as fashion magazine (ugly betty/devil wears Parada) advertisement (mad men),desgin firm, IT related office, etc. You can build your own office from scratch and choose its industry type or put in premade ones ( like the dinner game pack). Includes office romance, office drama, broken down and dirty offices and modern classy ones.
The sims can have new aspirations, skills, and traits which can contribute or ruin the workplace.

    Designer stuff pack:
clothes, objects, and hairstyles designed by designer brands other than diesel (sims 3) and H&M (sims 2). Maybe Zara or a real designer brand like Chanel.

    Bedroom stuff pack:
Because I'm desperate for more beds. Beds and bedroom stuff coming in various styles from classic to futuristic.

    Big brother game pack?....

    more career options pack:
Three careers aren't enough (doctor, police, and space one). Please consider, designer (fashion, graphic, architecture), teacher, babysitter, performer (musician, actor, dancer), modeling and a cleaner (because of the neat trait).

    Leisure game /expansion pack:
a game pack which includes a lot of different community lots for various purposes. Such as wedding lots, libraries, theaters, cinemas, playgrounds, festivals, concert halls, arcades, schools, universities, community colleges, nurseries, sports stadium, youth clubs, hotels.

And that's about all of my thoughts. I welcome feedback.

Some of my ideas for expansion packs:

    Arts and crafts
    - Forging and jewellery station: forge metals into bars and crytals into all kinds of shapes and put them in your home. Make your own jewellery from metals and crystals found in the neighbourhood. Choose the metals and crystals to use and pick the right design to create unique objects. New metals include gold and silver. New crystals include carnelian and tiger's eye. Created jewels will become available in CAS for your Sims to wear (or to sell in their clothing/jewellery store).
    - Knitting: a new skill for your Sims to learn. Create bedspreads, stuffed animals and pillows to decorate your home or make your own vests, pullovers and socks. All clothing will become available in CAS for your Sims to wear (or to sell in their cloting store).
    - Flower arranging table: make beautiful bouquets and wreaths out of the flowers you found in the neibourhood or your garden and put them on a vase. Choose the type of flowers and the size of the bouquet or wreath to create your own unique decorations. Make your own jewellery out of flowers, like flower crowns, hair decorations and flower necklaces. These objects will become available in CAS for your Sims to wear (or to sell in their clothing/jewellery store). New flowers include carnations and daffodils.
    - Pottery station: make your own vases, plates and cups to decorate your house. Choose between several colours of clay and pick the right design to create your own unique objects. Vases can also be used to put a bouquet on.
    - Give presents to other Sims: wrap your crafts (but also harvestables, paintings, etc.) in some nice wrapping paper and give them to your friends and family as a nice token of love or appreciation. The gifts will actually appear in their inventory once received.
    - Crafting table for kids: children can make their own crafts out of toilet rolls. Put them on display to show how proud you are of your child's abilities.

    Music
    - New instruments: drums, cellos, trumpets and recorders. Each come with their own skills. Children will be able to unlock the recorder skill once their creative skill is high enough.
    - Form a band/orchestra: want your Sims to play as a band and perform on a stage? Choose up to four Sims and assign each one of them an instrument (these would include all the base game instruments, the organ and the instruments from this pack, or assign your Sim as the lead singer). Rehearse together and earn money by performing on stage. Children will also be able to form their own bands.
    - New concert hall venue: put a stage on a bar, nightclub or lounge and change it into a concert hall. Make anything from a shifty bar to a fancy theatre. Click the stage and select your band to perform a song and earn money. Sims from all over town will come to see your Sims perform. Rather perform alone? No problem!
    - Battle of the Bands: compete in the Battle of the Bands and become the best band or solo act in town. During this special contest event several bands will perform on the stage and a jury will have to decide on the winner. Flatter the jury members and become very well acquainted to have a higher chance of winning. Feeling mean? Bribe the jury members or threathen them to higher your chances of winning.

    Superheroes and villains
    - Superhero/villain life state: Become a superhero or villain and gain special powers. Defeat villians or try to win from the heroes. New capes, masks and outfits. Every superhero or villain has a secret form, in which they will change when they are doing their job.
    - Powers: gain new powers, including flight, invisibility, super speed, laser eyes or super strength. Some powers will only become available when certain events happen, like finding a radiating rock or being bitten by a spider.
    - Battle the evil or good: fight villains or heroes in a superpower fight. Get points for defeating your opponent. Use these points to gain powers.
    - A new city: explore a new city that never sleeps, packed with criminals stealing from or fighting others. Rescue citizens and get rewards (medals, which will be a new collection). Or be the villain and get medals from the Villain League for stealing, fighting or pranking.
    - Pranks: prank others with sneezing or itching powder, make them 'try your handcuffs' and throw the key away, put soap in sinks, bathtubs and fountains or set a trap.
    - Burglars: the return of burglars. They will come at night to steal your stuff. Sometimes the burglars will be a villain. Luckily a superhero will save your stuff and catch the burglar/villain or fail to do so.

Education // New Career Expansion Pack

Elements in this expansion pack would include making the school experience for children and teens better, bringing back some base game careers from past games, bringing in some elements of the Hobbies expansion pack in Sims 2, and allowing skills and experiences from childhood and school to affect later career choice.

First New Element of the game is the idea of collecting WORK EXPERIENCE. Work experience would be calculated when looking for a new career, and the amount of work experience in the different fields will affect which level of the career your sim has to enter the career at. Work experience will be collected using the skills your sim possessives, what school they attended (Introduced in this game), what activities they took part in (introduced in this game), and any experience in this career or a different branch of the same career in the past.

Career Aptitude Test: working with work experience young adults and older will be able to take a test to show what career they are best suited for.

Private Schools: Bringing back the idea of boarding schools (but leaving the option of having the child go to a private school and still live at home so outside of class hours you can still play your child or teenage sims). Kids would have the option of attending regular school or 4 different private schools each school focusing on a different childhood trait.
    Military School (Motor Skill)
    Academia (Mental Skill)
    Art School (Creativity Skill)
    Prep School (Social Skill)
Then when the child ages into a teenager the schools would change slightly to develop skills.
    Military School (Athletic, Handiness, Logic)
    Academia (Logic, Programming, Rocket Science)
Art School would split into 2 different branches --Music School (piano, violin, guitar, singing, dancing) --Art/Food (Painting, Photography,
    Cooking, Baking)
Prep School (Charisma, Writing, Mischief, Comedy)
Depending on which school you choose certain trait would be easier to gain. To get into a private school the parents and child can impress the headmaster by inviting them over and show casing skills and entertaining them or by offering a large donation to the school.

Student Clubs: Are activities that students can take part in after school and each club will increase a certain skill, and certain clubs will add work experience to specific careers in the future. All clubs (at the teenage level) would have different stages depicting how much experience and skills they would gain from the club.
    Childrens Clubs:
    Scouts (Motor Skill)
    Arts & Crafts (Creativity Skill)
    Tutoring (Mental)
    Theatre (Social)
    Teenage Clubs:
Astronomy Club (Rocket Science//helps astronaut career)
Student Athlete (Fitness // help Athlete Career)
Prankster Club (Mischief // help Criminal Career)
Chess Club (Logic // help Doctor Career, Education Career *new)
Gaming Club (Video Gaming // help Tech Guru Career)
Coding Club (Programming // help Tech Guru Career)
Choir (Singing // help Performer Career *new)
Dance (Dancing // help Performer Career *new)
Music (Piano, Violin, Guitar // help entertainer)

New Careers: With better education comes new careers
First bring back the Education Career and with majority of Sims 4 careers having 2 branches I've kept with that theme. Education Career
    1.Playground Monitor
    2.Teacher's Aide
    3.Substitute Teacher
    4. Elementary School Teacher
    5. High School Teacher
    BRANCH INTO PROFESSOR OR ADMINISTRATION
    PROFESSOR ADMINISTRATION
6.university guest lecturer 6. assistant principal
7.University Professor 7. High School Principal
    8. Senior Professor 8. School Administrator
    9. University Department Head 9. University Dean of Students
    10. Tenor Professor 10. Education Minister

    Military Career
    1.recruit
    2.;latrine cleaner
    3. mess hall server
    4. grunt
    BRANCH INTO ARMY OR NAVY
    5.squad leader 5. senior officer
    6.lieutenant 6. lieutenant
    7.captain 7. commander
    8.major 8. captain
    9.general 9. vice admiral
    10. top gun 10. admiral

Bring back the Film Career (Actor or Director Branch)

Performer Career add (Singer branch and Dancer Branch)

    New Career
Lawyer Career (this has not been in any sims game to my knowledge but I think it would be really cool)
    1.Juror
    2.Intern
    3.Clerkship
    4.Public Defender
    5. Paralegal
BRANCH INTO DO GOODER OR CRIMINAL DEFENSE
    6. Government Paralegal 6. Corporate Paralegal
    7. District Attorney 7. Divorce Lawyer
    8. Prosecutor 8. Trial Lawyer
    9. Judge 9. Public Defense Attorney
10 Supreme Court Judge 10. Private Defense Attorney

New Traits like: Disciplined, Determined, Over-achiever, and Aloof could be added.

Grades at graduation could go towards work experience so the better you do the better careers and if you fail you have extremely limited career options.

There is plenty more you could add in an education expansion pack like new skills, new preppy, athletic, ballet clothing could be added, not to mention new furniture to go with the clubs and jobs.

    Anyway that's my idea.

I'd really be happy for The Sims 4: University to be created or The Sims 4: Pets.... There should be a career choice for pets that you can become a pet groomer where you can choose the colors of the fur, and the cute accessories (same goes for if you take your pet to the pet groomer). I also think there should be more choices of what kind of pet you can have on the sims, other animals as well as cats and dogs. E.G Birds (Parrot, Budgie, hawk, lorakeet), Rodent (Rabbit, Mouse, Gerbil/Hamster, Ferret, guinea pig etc), Reptile (Snake, Turtle, Lizard).
