The Sims 4 repeating music glitch

I've checked and see if any other players has posted a topic about this issue. But so far I've seen nobody with it. So here the problem, For some god awful reason the game soundtrack sometime can repeat itself. I have no idea as to why this happens, but with this little issue. The other soundtracks for buildmode plays as well as the glitch song plays. And if you play live mode the glitch song plays while playing live mode. Which makes it horribly annoying. (This issue effects everything in game including Create A Sim and Neighborhoods. The song that glitches can also be random by the way. It glitches a small part of it and then repeats it every 5 to 10 seconds. And the only way for me to stop it. Is to shutdown The Sims 4 and then restart it. The glitch has happen twice now. So its not much of a issue for me.

I had this glitch too. It doesn't happen often but yeah it's annoying.

The sound mixing in TS4 is overall just really bad. Stingers playing at the wrong times or for no apparent reason at all, certain music playing in the wrong game areas, things like that. Build and Buy mode have a handful of different songs and I once had about three of them playing all at once.

Indeed, I would like to also mention this glitch happen the first time I booted up this game on day one release. After creating my sim, making a tiny little home for a good test run. And I notice the music was looping nonstop over the build mode music. I was thinking "What on earth is going on all of a sudden" Then I started it and it continued. I thought it was part of the game to be honest... Once the repeating noise got to me I decided to just end the game and turn it back on again to see if it was a glitch or part of the game. (My thoughts "I hope to god not") Thankfully the glitch went away. I hope they fix it soon.

This happened only randomly for me but today 3 times alone, very strange and the only solution is to quit and reload.

This problem has been happening to me since I bought the game on release day. I thought it was fixed because it wasn't happening for awhile the BAM there it goes again. It is one of the most annoying things because it will play build mode music and loading screen music on top of each other. When it happens to me I just go to the game options and turn the music volume down to 0.

Other simmers are experiencing this issue as well. You may like to press " me too" on this EA Bug thread link that refers to the issue, or post your experiences there.

Yeah I have this glitch as well.

I just play without the music now because it was happening to me every time. I still get music on the stereos, just not the ambient/background music.

DOES anyone actually have a SOLUTION to fix this issue other than turning down/off the music? It's really getting annoying, my game is laggy and not responding well, I've cleared my games cache files, cleaned up my PC files, repaired the Sims 4 game, gotten rid of CC files and scanned my laptop making sure no bugs remain. Nothing is working... and the last thing I want to do is have to reinstall my game...

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue also. The workaround is to come completely out of the gane, then reload the game.

The previous AHQ EA thread about this issue has been locked as it was fixed in a patch. As you are still having this issue, it would be good to start a new thread on the site and post feedback on the issue there
