Adding your own patterns

Is there some way that a person could put their own pattern? I see so many laces and other patterns I know are not able to be made with this tool.

If you want to do one that is really your own, get a digi camera, take photo, upload it to computer, go in CAP, click on the button to the left that is for "new sticker", next to the sims ones and has a + sign with what looks like a skewed box, find your piccie and load it on there. Give it a short name because anything over 23 characters it won't take. There ya go! Your very own pattern! Or you can browse images on any browser.
