Digital Download - "No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 disk before proceeding."

Hi there!

So I just downloaded The Sims 3 onto my new Mac (Digital download via Origin.) My first problem was that I was unable to play because I needed to update my game and the launcher update was not working. So I manually updated my game to 1.67. Then, when I was done with all of that, I tried playing the game via the launcher and I received the message:
Disk Authentication Failure
"No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 disk before proceeding."

I digitally downloaded the game, so obviously I shouldn't have to insert the disk. Also, my computer doesn't have a disk drive.

On my old computer I had the game installed via disk. however, i uninstalled it and replaced it with a digital download using the version number instead, and that worked fine. So I don't really understand whats going on here.

I would really appreciate any help! I would like to play asap of course.

I feel really silly, I figured out what I did wrong. I downloaded the patch for the disk instead of the digital download. So sorry. Thank you for the help

oh my gosh that's what I did too..... Do you have any idea of where I can find the digital one?? fml. it took 6 hours for that to download lol.

You want "Region 7" for the digital version.
