Hi guys. So... I know I'm usually slow... but... I'm really slow right now! My computer died... I'm still waiting to find out how much I've totally lost on that. I was on track to not be that late with the Xmas special before this happened but... now I'm hoping that my story isn't just trashed. I've been reading from my phone, but then I took over my husband's 'good enough for vr' computer. The resolution is bad but that doesn't matter for VR, I'll probably want to see if he'll let me use my screen later. But it has four drives and windows 10 and I could barely figure out how to clear out the caches. I have no idea how I'm ever going to figure out how to download mods onto it... O.O so, this is a headache and a half. I've been trying to re- download the store stuff onto his computer since mine is dead...and I'm hoping my back up works...but even if it does I'm going to need somewhere to play it again... and I keep running into things like it not thinking I registered Generations (even though it shows I have it and downloaded it back from Origin) or that I bought Monte Vista when I bought it plus points from Origin directly. Some of this is probably me just being terrible with technology or making a typo somewhere or something but it's a headache now.

Yeah, since she's in love, she totally has hopes that involve things other than how she's going to hurt or incite the other witches to attack her... (Oh I hope my back up worked! I was having so much fun with them!) Yeah, she would be intolerable lol. Yeah, she loves it enough to put up with it being smelly... chemical smelly. Well, if she hated what he was wearing, she'd snap her fingers, point to the changing room and tell him to change into something else, and he'd do it. Thanks... I rather hope I get to do it!
@Venus: I'm so excited to see their kid! Boy or girl or twins or what! I see it's not a time child since she's got a baby bump! (Well, who wants to have to explain things to your kid that are older than you anyway lol! And being lost in time is kind of a tragic thing!) I can see Alex, the more athletic one maybe wanting the more creative one to deal with furniture and getting the 'proper look' so she doesn't have to deal with all that and the public judging them on their royal fitness to be royal parents by what their nursery looks like. I guess if it's important to AJ he'll do it lol. Well, to outsiders that might look like nepotism, but to be fair, these guys were kidnapped and probed by actual aliens...they might really want that foundation to take off for other reasons than family support. Lol, plumbing bows for no one! Lol- it certainly seems to be improper! Could it be about the aliens?! (Aldo: "You have pictures of the royal couple in their bunny slippers!?? You've found out about princess Anastasia's secret midnight blindfolded Jedi training?! Oh, they would never live it down! The shame! The neighboring kingdom's ruled by a bunch of Trekkies, and the rivalry would ruin us all!") {PSSST: It's quite possible to be both, but it's funnier this way}. It's a rather snazzy car, huh? Lol, twins! Did they network to get together in the same cab? (Anastasia: "We hadn't taken the class on networking yet!") Lol- maybe he likes the dynamic of having an older sister. (Alex: "And when you are older, we shall make royal snow forts with little royal flags planted in the proper manner, like my father showed us all...and your snowballs better pass inspection!") Sorry, my phone is having a hard time with the videos for some reason, but it looks pretty cool from what I can see! How is Ramseys anyway? And is Satis still with the fireman guy or did he flee once he got talked to from Savannah? Sorry, I don't remember. Thanks about the kitchen, I think most of my prep on that was actually redoing the kitchen so it looked cohesive lol.
I'm sorry real life is being a pain. Sometimes, when your energy is low even starting a video game seems like too much work. (I know some days it can seem like too much work to even pay attention to a movie, much less direct things in a game...) This one can take quite a while to load... On the plus side, this game allows pausing it, so you can start it, and then pause it and go lay down for a bit, and then play a little and then pause it... it's really nice to have games you can save and pause... and come back to as needed. And if you think paying attention to what your sims are doing is a pain, you can always do something in build or buy mode which doesn't require paying attention to like burglar music or fire alarms or anything you might be missing with things breaking or the like... and you can do silly things without saving it...so if you wanted to say, decide to decorate the royal nursery like it was a gothic horror movie (There is a skeletal bear...or the vampire or mummy one!) or to fit the Katy Perry set or something just to see what it would look like, you wouldn't have to save it but just to see what you could do if you wanted to... or you could make movie sets for times you don't want to deal with the story proper... so there are even small tasks for days big tasks are too daunting. So, I hope it helps provide some nice, healthy escapism! But I think we can all relate to you about losing pets and having health problems...maybe not the same pets and maybe not the same health problems, but please don't feel isolated! And I think you can understand where I am with the whole up in the air if my characters are gone...even though I haven't had Rafael and Zelda as long as you've had the Jolina Plumbs, I'm really hoping my back up worked...and I don't know yet.
That's a beautiful pic of the mansion. Sawyer seems a bit laid back like his father. Ah, he's into writing like his mother and music like his grandad, this should be interesting...I wonder if he'll be overshadowed by his singing sister or if she'll help him or collaborate with him at some point. I'm glad to see Savannah's getting warmer now. At least she's hugging Skylar. Looks like Skylar did well and demonstrated her determination, singing in that horrible weather and winning. I'm glad her family was out there to cheer her on.
@bebasim: Oh, I am so sorry! Thank you, and I'm glad you like it, I've been having fun writing it for years now... I am unfortunately quite slow. I had a lot planned, and I surely hope it's not ruined. Well, if you like this one, maybe you'll like all the silliness with AU... that I've been doing with it, it's better if you know I started them during an April Fools day special- what happens in the holiday specials does not happen in the story...at least not in the same way it happens in the holiday specials... so it gives me freedom to play around with something without committing to it... I can try on ideas...like when I wanted to know if I could get away with keeping Zelda alive and let her have children, I had the Xmas special, which won me over to the idea- previously I did not think I could handle playing that household with children... but wow those toddlers were cute and I kept finding ideas around them...so while I assured everyone that these are not 'real children' for this family, I really liked them. I decided I wanted him to have real children in the story... hopefully my back up saved at least Rafael and Zelda!
And of course, the Evil Travel Agent Guide Series... with a cartoon evil travel agent... it would probably help to point out that I only started this because people were asking whether it was worth it to buy certain worlds, but that's a matter of personal preference... so I made a guide to show off certain areas so people could decide for themselves if the world looked interesting enough... though I forgot about the scaly snow issue at Aurora Skies... I didn't really explore it during the cold since it starts out in summer when you start a game...and it was so pretty in the summer...but I noticed the horses getting stuck everywhere... anyway, I had a bit of fun writing Nicolae, but he's not everyone's cup of tea, he's cartoon evil- and even though I gave him the brooding trait the game kept making him act cheerful and excitable (he was so thrilled to meet the zombies!) so much that's how I wrote him... he's kind of like an evil game show host... and the game gave me some funny things, like him getting repeatedly burglarized and even though he was a brooding insane evil genius, he wasn't brave so he wasn't able to fight them, and I had to come up with an evil reason why he didn't...
@Zabeth0 Thanks for the recap So sorry to hear about your computer, hate to have you lose all that work (and those lovely Sims of yours). During my last crash I did lose some work, a lot of stuff. Mostly bc they're on the external HD and it fried and it would cost an exorbitant amount of money to fix, money that I don't have since I'm currently unemployed and need even more dental work. My energy level is about nil, but thankfully Sims is a pause game, and you could pause for weeks and even months and they'll still be right where you left them. Apparently losing a pet hurts pretty much like losing a human family member.
@venusdemilosims I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog. Losing a pet is so hard.
Yeah story progression is... something else sometimes. I think I kind of got comfortable that it wouldn't touch Evie's parents though because for so long it seemed to just let them be... should have known better lol.
Congrats to Skylar on winning the simfest. It's great that her family was there, too. And I'm glad she got a warm welcome home, I guess no matter what it's still hard when your kids are gone off to college for months on end.
@Zabeth0 Sorry about the computer dying. I hope you don't lose too much. I know how horrible that feels (I think we all have at least some idea... computers are such wonderful and infuriating things all at once).
Okay, my computer is...spotty, but seems to be functioning at the moment. I think I'm in a place where I can say that I'm not losing the entire story... at the moment, I'm hopeful that you won't even notice much of a change...perhaps I'll even seem faster... but I can't promise this.
@Nikkei Simmer: Good job on the video! That looks amazing! I love how closely the set matches a courtroom and the graveyard. I know how challenging it can be to make sets look right! Though I do not actually watch that program, I still think you did a good job of it.
@Dreamers: I can totally understand how work can really derail you... right now, I've spent a couple of months bouncing back and forth between Oklahoma and Kansas every week because of my husband's job- at first they told him he'd be home by Xmas, then they said the first of the year... only today, this morning did I get something that sounded more solid, this week or next week...and up until now, we didn't know he would have another job after this one when we got back home, but he knows he does...just not what it is! I hope things continue to get better for you! I hope you get more game time in this year!
Well, I can understand Evie prioritizing her tiny human adventure! Some things money just can't compete with... and her music is already spread across the world...so if she takes a little time off- children grow up so fast after all... she'll have more time for the music to stew in the back of her brain, and enjoy her bonding with her little guy. Wow, a doctor? That's...going to cut into her family time too...with a pager! But... I guess she does have helpful friends willing to step in and help look after Lucas and how is he going to be an adventurer or musician if he's micromanaged and always in the same situations...so I guess variety of care and location will keep his mind fed. Lol- I can't imagine she's going to get much studying done with her adoring fans asking for pics and autographs lol. She'll have to have a secret agent's skill at disguise while in college! Lucas is so cute.
Oh, story progression! It can be so like watching Indiana Jones try to escape from a collapsing temple to see how sims will just jump into bed with someone else or leave the household and join another or change jobs to something that doesn't even make sense... though I suppose one could guess there was some sort of mid life crisis or something. But not for Mae! Why, Mae, why? I'm glad he didn't accept! Oh, Deedee! It's always fun to see how townies look different in different stories with different kinds of CC and defaults and stuff. I love that sweater on her. Well, she is good... I can understand she might forgive even that, and hope he'll see the error of his ways and calm down and start living right. Oh, when they have that baby please show me! I'm sure with your CC, the baby will be absolutely adorable, with little wisps of hair and baby clothes and everything.
@Zabeth0 Oh, the tough part was making all the attachments and rank insignia for the Navy/Marine Corps uniforms and color matching the Sims 3 military uniforms to match... Also had to create the scrambled egg brims for the Navy officer's caps too. The admirals caps had to be just right as did the commander/captains. The plus side was that I learned a whole heckuva lot about CC and its creation.

@Venus: There are definitely reasons people call them 'fur babies' or part of the family. I have often taken advantage of the whole 'pause game' situation... during a lot of my sicknesses when I had no energy... I could play sims... in little spurts. It spent more time paused than I spent playing it, but it was mostly still there when I came back. Which was good. I wish I could hug you...but I know dental pain can be...rather intense and even cause body aches. So please know that the sentiment is there...even if it probably wouldn't work out in reality. I hope things go better for you soon!

@venusdemilosims - yep...they (our furbabies) become definitive members of the family. Even as a guy...I'm thoroughly attached to my furbabies.
This is Mina (the grey tabby) and Loki (the black and white furry imp with the mischievous green eyes). They were not cats that I had even agreed to letting into my heart...but well...they went ahead and stole it anyways. (Mina came home, thanks to my son and Loki came home, thanks to my wife). I think my late dad is now looking down on me from Heaven going, "See...that's what you inflicted on me when I was your parent and you begged me to keep those cats you kept bringing home...Karmic retribution.") But I love them...
I've gone through many furbabies over the years...(as an adult) and well...let's just say that when you lose one (whether through age, disease, or some other calamity) it rips your guts out.

Yikes, that sounds fairly hectic with your husband's work. I guess I can be glad my job didn't put me through that, at least I still got to be home. We just had like a ton of changeover and stuff which kind of made a mess of things (people are so very very bad with change) but honestly it wasn't a bad thing, just different. But it left those of us who stuck it out covering for those who didn't and it's just been a lot. But we're starting to catch up again.
Yeah I feel like Evie needs to talk to some of my other sims who've worked the medical career (except most of them are dead, but... whatever) because they have NO time to spend at home. It is a very demanding career. But it's what she wanted so I guess she'll learn the hard way what she got herself into. But I guess by the time she's too much in demand Lucas will be older probably in school and it won't seem like as much time away. Or Lucas and Alex can just like hang around the waiting room looking pitiful and waving to her as she runs by a hundred times a day. As far as fans... I'm more worried about her celebrity status at work than at school. Because you know even in a hospital a celebrity is still a celebrity. At school at least everybody will probably get used to her anyway, the first bit might be tough but the excitement will wear off.
I think Deedee might be too good if she can forgive Nolan. But I guess they're still pretty early in the relationship really, they just kind of got serious fast (the greatest skill of like all my sims) so I guess giving him a chance to like catch up and pull himself together is fair-ish. I'm sure I'll be flaunting that baby for the whole world to see lol.
@Nikkei_Simmer Gorgeous cats! It is hard not fall in love with adorable little faces like those. It's really amazing the impact our pets have on our lives. It's been almost 2 years now since I've had a pet (beautiful torti cat) and I'm still not used to it, still miss that annoying little furball XD.
So I've been chilling with Aedan a bit. If anybody remembers him lol. It's been almost a year I think since I played that save lol. I haven't done that much yet but thought I'd swing by with the goings on so far.
Mostly 'cause I just wanna show off this little cutie. Aedan and Cheri had just become parents and well, my first order of business getting back into the game was ageing up the baby (Haylie).
(I know the toybox is notorious for cute shots but like come on... this kid is just ridiculously adorable)
Aedan is keeping busy with work as an international super spy. And he spends his free time working on his martial arts skill because that's probably a valuable skill for a spy to have.
(don't mind the weird white thing it's a weird CC glitch thingy and the offending item is stuck lol)
And now he's mastered the skill and is super pro at breaking boards... or space rocks. So he's invested in a gem cutter for all the gems he finds. Which is a lot.
And as you can see they're building up their basement as a little skill/hobby zone. SO Aedan has been tinkering with the workbench and his wife hasn't yet but will surely be getting into the sculpting station soon.
Oh, and Aedan is also practicing meditation. Which is good because he's a workaholic and works until he's stressed out to the max. So at least he's learning to unwind. So he can just hop back on the computer and stress himself out again but whatever. ANd I need him to teach me meditation because clearly nothing can break his trance.
And he still spends a lot of time raiding garbage bins. Even if they belong to his coworkers haha. Because like he's REALLY behind on reports. Not that he really needs it to work his way up or anything but I hate seeing the little angry face by reports lol.
At least dude seemed to understand. Or they made some shady agreement, whatever.
And well I didn't really take any pictures because it was kind of a boring trip because well I left my sims to their own devices while I kind of dozed off lol. But Aedan and Cheri went to France (they were supposed to ages ago so Cheri could drop her finished book off with some fan), and well I just liked this screenshot of Paris off in the distance.
@dreamerz13 I think Evie is still trying to find herself... even though she's had a successful music career she wants to 'try something new,' and do something different with her life. The musical career in this game is, let's admit, very repetitive and gets boring after awhile.

Well guys, had even more bad news as my one remaining uncle passed away... so my family is dwindling down to almost nothing. Meanwhile, while that was happening, my niece had her baby boy. So I'm a great aunt. I know, I know, I need to be knitting something... lol
So without further ado, here's pix from the first time I touched sims in over a month. I had to end up turning down my graphics settings... and my driver had just updated so the pix might be a little blurry. Excuse me, I'm having internet trouble...
After Skylar won her simfest, she got a text from what would be a surprising source - her older sister, Sierra.
Sierra was a strange duck, by anybody's standard. She was a professional athlete who had inherited both her ex-pro-footballer father's physical gifts and the intellectual heft of her mother's side of the family. She once admitted to hacking into the Fort Gnome military database, mostly to see if she could. The only reason she didn't serve serious jail time was because of her famous and influential family.
When Sierra was a very young teen, she had been abducted by aliens. It was an experience that left deep psychological scars on her.
Just before her senior prom at Alpine Community School, she came out as a lesbian and revealed she had been in a relationship with a female classmate - the daughter of two family friends - for some time. However, accepting though her family was, that relationship did not end well.
At any rate, Skylar was curious as to why Sierra would send out this invite, and why would this famously reclusive woman suddenly hold a get-together.
The cast of characters at this soiree was even more intriguing. It seemed to be quite intimate. There was a well-dressed guy in a white suit, named Ned. Apparently he was one of Sierra's soccer teammates.
And then there was a genial elder gent named Carson, who was Ned's father-in-law. Carson had been a renowned investigative journalist in his day, but now only sporadically wrote articles as a freelancer.
What was a man like this doing at Sierra's get-together? Was she friends with him? No one could say.
When Skylar arrived, Sierra was cooking some concoction, Skylar couldn't tell what, and she wasn't sure if Sierra knew herself. Later, though, she would learn it was vegan spaghetti.
Meanwhile, Ned was on Sierra's gaming computer playing computer chess.
Though Sierra was glad to see Skylar had come to her gathering, she remained perplexed by her.
Skylar was her opposite in every way. Skylar sat down, ate spaghetti, and easily made conversation with Carson about her art classes. Sierra couldn't hold that kind of conversation with a virtual stranger, and she knew it.
Sierra was getting sleepy, so she changed into her nightclothes, plopped her sleeping bag down, and lay on the floor. Right there.
Needless to say, Carson was bemused by Sierra's stunt, and Skylar was even more amused by Carson's reaction to Sierra's stunt.
Sierra got a text and she woke up grumpily to answer. Carson stopped her and shared one of his mother's spaghetti recipes. Sierra wasn't too thrilled about talking about recipes - one feature of her upbringing was that she always had butlers to cook for her. Still, Savannah insisted that her children learn how to prepare meals.
Carson then brought up a subject that seemed to be more germane to Sierra - video games. As a former reporter, Carson had an ease about him that got his subjects to speak to him.
It even seemed to work on Sierra, at least, for a little while.
The oldest of Andy and Savannah's three biological daughters, Sage, arrived late to the gathering. Sage, recently married, had spent time in Champs les Sims, France, for her honeymoon. She grabbed a plate of Sierra's vegan spaghetti.
Vegan spaghetti? Sage thought to herself. She remembered!
Sage decided to spend some time with Skylar, who she hadn't seen since their mother shipped her off to college following a wild party after which the police were called.
Meanwhile, Sierra had gone outside to play football with her self-named plumbot, $13RR4.
Skylar had found herself waist-deep in a romance novel Sierra had on her bookshelf. Sierra reads this stuff? Skylar wondered as she flipped through the pages.
By the time the gathering was over, it was two in the morning and the only people remaining in the house were Sierra and her two sisters. Three girls with the same parents, who were all completely different, residing in parallel universes, didn't even acknowledge each other as they left.

Yeah, Evie's still young and kind of hasn't had much of an identity outside of music, so she's due to explore life a bit more and be the 20-year-old (I think that's right lol) that she is. Those things we feel so sure of really can change so much easier than we thought, too. Life is strange.
Lol at Sierra just passing out in a sleeping bag in the middle of her own get-together, sounds like my kind of hosting skills lol (and then just going to play with the plumbot). Sounds like an interesting group of people, too. Too bad Sierra wasn't more present there, but at least Carson got her to hang around and chat a bit.

I've just started the legacy challenge. My founder married Jared Frio and they had boy and girl twins together. The wedding was beautiful, mostly cause it was on a lot I created on the beach lol. The dress code was formal but everyone showed up formal then some changed into their swimsuits almost immediately, oh well. Got some nice pictures.
Kind of funny that no one sat down even though there was plenty of seats lol
And this is probably the first time I'm trying to play through generations so this is the first time I'm experiencing all these glitches with kids...
And this is their house so far. Any suggestions what to add around it? I've got plenty of space on this lot.

@Chi5678 Hi and welcome Lovely wedding, nothing ever goes quite as planned at a sim wedding does it lol. Ah and floating babies... all too familiar with those lol. The house looks great. I think some sort of a patio area under one of the balconies would be nice, like a barbecue and some seating maybe some activities to do too.

Does anyone know if it is at all possible to have a baby inherit LTR's I purchased for the adults? If the whole family never had to use the bathroom or eat that would be fantastic XD Also, is there anything you would suggest to influence the chance of a newborn getting an IF? Neither of the twins got one but they're expecting one more on the way and I want them to get an IF. I read somewhere if they receive no interaction until the next morning they get one immediately but I have no idea.
@Chi5678 I know LTR's won't be inherited. IF dolls, I'm not sure. I've never heard of a way to increase the odds, but they are pretty high in the first place I think... like 75% or something.
@dreamerz13 Okay, thanks for your reply. My "theory" didn't work, so I ended up going with a mod to make the IF buyable. Hoping for the best, so far so good.
Also funny thing happened in my game today- guess my sim needed to show her toddler that adults can fit in the high chair too...
It's Valentine's Day which means it's time for my sappiest couple to shine! LOL. They did opt for "go big or go home" this year and jetted off to Monte Vista, for a short but sweet trip down memory lane.
Starting with the pizzeria where Evie and Alex first met and fell in love. They even scored the same table they had that night.
And they wouldn't forget the park where they spent that 2nd night snuggled under the stars and dancing the night away. Savouring every precious minute they had before Alex had to go back to school and Evie to her next tour stop.
At least this time they didn't have to go home. So they stayed out literally all night. All snuggled up in the park.
And were still out to enjoy the morning on the beach.

And of course, the Evil Travel Agent Guide Series... with a cartoon evil travel agent... it would probably help to point out that I only started this because people were asking whether it was worth it to buy certain worlds, but that's a matter of personal preference... so I made a guide to show off certain areas so people could decide for themselves if the world looked interesting enough... though I forgot about the scaly snow issue at Aurora Skies... I didn't really explore it during the cold since it starts out in summer when you start a game...and it was so pretty in the summer...but I noticed the horses getting stuck everywhere... anyway, I had a bit of fun writing Nicolae, but he's not everyone's cup of tea, he's cartoon evil- and even though I gave him the brooding trait the game kept making him act cheerful and excitable (he was so thrilled to meet the zombies!) so much that's how I wrote him... he's kind of like an evil game show host... and the game gave me some funny things, like him getting repeatedly burglarized and even though he was a brooding insane evil genius, he wasn't brave so he wasn't able to fight them, and I had to come up with an evil reason why he didn't...

Yeah story progression is... something else sometimes. I think I kind of got comfortable that it wouldn't touch Evie's parents though because for so long it seemed to just let them be... should have known better lol.
Congrats to Skylar on winning the simfest. It's great that her family was there, too. And I'm glad she got a warm welcome home, I guess no matter what it's still hard when your kids are gone off to college for months on end.
@Zabeth0 Sorry about the computer dying. I hope you don't lose too much. I know how horrible that feels (I think we all have at least some idea... computers are such wonderful and infuriating things all at once).

@Dreamers: I can totally understand how work can really derail you... right now, I've spent a couple of months bouncing back and forth between Oklahoma and Kansas every week because of my husband's job- at first they told him he'd be home by Xmas, then they said the first of the year... only today, this morning did I get something that sounded more solid, this week or next week...and up until now, we didn't know he would have another job after this one when we got back home, but he knows he does...just not what it is! I hope things continue to get better for you!

Oh, story progression! It can be so like watching Indiana Jones try to escape from a collapsing temple to see how sims will just jump into bed with someone else or leave the household and join another or change jobs to something that doesn't even make sense... though I suppose one could guess there was some sort of mid life crisis or something. But not for Mae! Why, Mae, why? I'm glad he didn't accept! Oh, Deedee!

@venusdemilosims - yep...they (our furbabies) become definitive members of the family.
This is Mina (the grey tabby) and Loki (the black and white furry imp with the mischievous green eyes). They were not cats that I had even agreed to letting into my heart...but well...they went ahead and stole it anyways. (Mina came home, thanks to my son and Loki came home, thanks to my wife). I think my late dad is now looking down on me from Heaven going, "See...that's what you inflicted on me when I was your parent and you begged me to keep those cats you kept bringing home...Karmic retribution.") But I love them...
I've gone through many furbabies over the years...(as an adult) and well...let's just say that when you lose one (whether through age, disease, or some other calamity) it rips your guts out.

Yikes, that sounds fairly hectic with your husband's work. I guess I can be glad my job didn't put me through that, at least I still got to be home. We just had like a ton of changeover and stuff which kind of made a mess of things (people are so very very bad with change) but honestly it wasn't a bad thing, just different. But it left those of us who stuck it out covering for those who didn't and it's just been a lot. But we're starting to catch up again.
Yeah I feel like Evie needs to talk to some of my other sims who've worked the medical career (except most of them are dead, but... whatever) because they have NO time to spend at home. It is a very demanding career. But it's what she wanted so I guess she'll learn the hard way what she got herself into. But I guess by the time she's too much in demand Lucas will be older probably in school and it won't seem like as much time away. Or Lucas and Alex can just like hang around the waiting room looking pitiful and waving to her as she runs by a hundred times a day. As far as fans... I'm more worried about her celebrity status at work than at school. Because you know even in a hospital a celebrity is still a celebrity. At school at least everybody will probably get used to her anyway, the first bit might be tough but the excitement will wear off.
I think Deedee might be too good if she can forgive Nolan. But I guess they're still pretty early in the relationship really, they just kind of got serious fast (the greatest skill of like all my sims) so I guess giving him a chance to like catch up and pull himself together is fair-ish. I'm sure I'll be flaunting that baby for the whole world to see lol.
@Nikkei_Simmer Gorgeous cats! It is hard not fall in love with adorable little faces like those. It's really amazing the impact our pets have on our lives. It's been almost 2 years now since I've had a pet (beautiful torti cat) and I'm still not used to it, still miss that annoying little furball XD.
Mostly 'cause I just wanna show off this little cutie. Aedan and Cheri had just become parents and well, my first order of business getting back into the game was ageing up the baby (Haylie).
(I know the toybox is notorious for cute shots but like come on... this kid is just ridiculously adorable)
Aedan is keeping busy with work as an international super spy. And he spends his free time working on his martial arts skill because that's probably a valuable skill for a spy to have.
(don't mind the weird white thing it's a weird CC glitch thingy and the offending item is stuck lol)
And now he's mastered the skill and is super pro at breaking boards... or space rocks. So he's invested in a gem cutter for all the gems he finds. Which is a lot.
And as you can see they're building up their basement as a little skill/hobby zone. SO Aedan has been tinkering with the workbench and his wife hasn't yet but will surely be getting into the sculpting station soon.
Oh, and Aedan is also practicing meditation. Which is good because he's a workaholic and works until he's stressed out to the max. So at least he's learning to unwind. So he can just hop back on the computer and stress himself out again but whatever. ANd I need him to teach me meditation because clearly nothing can break his trance.
And he still spends a lot of time raiding garbage bins. Even if they belong to his coworkers haha. Because like he's REALLY behind on reports. Not that he really needs it to work his way up or anything but I hate seeing the little angry face by reports lol.
At least dude seemed to understand. Or they made some shady agreement, whatever.
And well I didn't really take any pictures because it was kind of a boring trip because well I left my sims to their own devices while I kind of dozed off lol. But Aedan and Cheri went to France (they were supposed to ages ago so Cheri could drop her finished book off with some fan), and well I just liked this screenshot of Paris off in the distance.
@dreamerz13 I think Evie is still trying to find herself... even though she's had a successful music career she wants to 'try something new,' and do something different with her life. The musical career in this game is, let's admit, very repetitive and gets boring after awhile.

Well guys, had even more bad news as my one remaining uncle passed away... so my family is dwindling down to almost nothing. Meanwhile, while that was happening, my niece had her baby boy. So I'm a great aunt. I know, I know, I need to be knitting something... lol
So without further ado, here's pix from the first time I touched sims in over a month. I had to end up turning down my graphics settings... and my driver had just updated so the pix might be a little blurry. Excuse me, I'm having internet trouble...
After Skylar won her simfest, she got a text from what would be a surprising source - her older sister, Sierra.
Sierra was a strange duck, by anybody's standard. She was a professional athlete who had inherited both her ex-pro-footballer father's physical gifts and the intellectual heft of her mother's side of the family. She once admitted to hacking into the Fort Gnome military database, mostly to see if she could. The only reason she didn't serve serious jail time was because of her famous and influential family.
When Sierra was a very young teen, she had been abducted by aliens. It was an experience that left deep psychological scars on her.
Just before her senior prom at Alpine Community School, she came out as a lesbian and revealed she had been in a relationship with a female classmate - the daughter of two family friends - for some time. However, accepting though her family was, that relationship did not end well.
At any rate, Skylar was curious as to why Sierra would send out this invite, and why would this famously reclusive woman suddenly hold a get-together.
The cast of characters at this soiree was even more intriguing. It seemed to be quite intimate. There was a well-dressed guy in a white suit, named Ned. Apparently he was one of Sierra's soccer teammates.
And then there was a genial elder gent named Carson, who was Ned's father-in-law. Carson had been a renowned investigative journalist in his day, but now only sporadically wrote articles as a freelancer.
What was a man like this doing at Sierra's get-together? Was she friends with him? No one could say.
When Skylar arrived, Sierra was cooking some concoction, Skylar couldn't tell what, and she wasn't sure if Sierra knew herself. Later, though, she would learn it was vegan spaghetti.
Meanwhile, Ned was on Sierra's gaming computer playing computer chess.
Though Sierra was glad to see Skylar had come to her gathering, she remained perplexed by her.
Skylar was her opposite in every way. Skylar sat down, ate spaghetti, and easily made conversation with Carson about her art classes. Sierra couldn't hold that kind of conversation with a virtual stranger, and she knew it.
Sierra was getting sleepy, so she changed into her nightclothes, plopped her sleeping bag down, and lay on the floor. Right there.
Needless to say, Carson was bemused by Sierra's stunt, and Skylar was even more amused by Carson's reaction to Sierra's stunt.
Sierra got a text and she woke up grumpily to answer. Carson stopped her and shared one of his mother's spaghetti recipes. Sierra wasn't too thrilled about talking about recipes - one feature of her upbringing was that she always had butlers to cook for her. Still, Savannah insisted that her children learn how to prepare meals.
Carson then brought up a subject that seemed to be more germane to Sierra - video games. As a former reporter, Carson had an ease about him that got his subjects to speak to him.
It even seemed to work on Sierra, at least, for a little while.
The oldest of Andy and Savannah's three biological daughters, Sage, arrived late to the gathering. Sage, recently married, had spent time in Champs les Sims, France, for her honeymoon. She grabbed a plate of Sierra's vegan spaghetti.
Vegan spaghetti? Sage thought to herself. She remembered!
Sage decided to spend some time with Skylar, who she hadn't seen since their mother shipped her off to college following a wild party after which the police were called.
Meanwhile, Sierra had gone outside to play football with her self-named plumbot, $13RR4.
Skylar had found herself waist-deep in a romance novel Sierra had on her bookshelf. Sierra reads this stuff? Skylar wondered as she flipped through the pages.
By the time the gathering was over, it was two in the morning and the only people remaining in the house were Sierra and her two sisters. Three girls with the same parents, who were all completely different, residing in parallel universes, didn't even acknowledge each other as they left.
Though, I should add, that as a new member you won't be able to post pictures or links. Or a bunch of other stuff. You'll gain full membership when you have 15 posts and 25 points (earned by people "liking" your posts, or by earning badges which can be tough as a new member but there are some for like post count and stuff) and an account over 24hours old.
Yeah, Evie's still young and kind of hasn't had much of an identity outside of music, so she's due to explore life a bit more and be the 20-year-old (I think that's right lol) that she is. Those things we feel so sure of really can change so much easier than we thought, too. Life is strange.
Lol at Sierra just passing out in a sleeping bag in the middle of her own get-together, sounds like my kind of hosting skills lol (and then just going to play with the plumbot). Sounds like an interesting group of people, too. Too bad Sierra wasn't more present there, but at least Carson got her to hang around and chat a bit.
I found the Flint family at the dog park today. Hiller played with their twins, Priscilla and Phillip, while Maggie read a book before work
Wait for me daddy! Priscilla took off, right as Hiller was headed for work
Maggie wound up playing hooky from work, so I had her brush my actives cat, Hannah. Then she headed for the cat park
I'm not sure if the Schmidt's german shephard didn't like Hannah at the dog park, or if she was upset to see her go
Hannah met Harmony Griffith, at the cat park, and got a second brushing
Then Hannah did a little fishing before heading home for the day
I've just started the legacy challenge. My founder married Jared Frio and they had boy and girl twins together. The wedding was beautiful, mostly cause it was on a lot I created on the beach lol. The dress code was formal but everyone showed up formal then some changed into their swimsuits almost immediately, oh well. Got some nice pictures.
Kind of funny that no one sat down even though there was plenty of seats lol

Starting with the pizzeria where Evie and Alex first met and fell in love. They even scored the same table they had that night.
And they wouldn't forget the park where they spent that 2nd night snuggled under the stars and dancing the night away. Savouring every precious minute they had before Alex had to go back to school and Evie to her next tour stop.
At least this time they didn't have to go home. So they stayed out literally all night. All snuggled up in the park.
And were still out to enjoy the morning on the beach.
