Do you think you can project the essence of a locale through a sim’s appearance and her setting? You won’t know till you try. And this competition will give you that chance. Each round will send your model to a different locale (city, country, or area selected by your host), and it will be your assignment to reflect that locale through a creative picture (or two) of your sim. Your model will be a young adult female, any ethnicity. To reiterate, you will choose a prominent aspect of the city at hand, one that in your view and to a large extent the world’s view shouts “City X,” and convey it through the nature you have your model project as well as through the setting you choose.
Do you think you’ll be up for it? I hope that you do!
Prizes: The first-place winner will receive an Essence signature depicting her/his triumphs, have the opportunity to be a judge in subsequent competitions, and be awarded 500 sim points toward a wishlist item. The second-place winner will also receive a signature and be awarded 100 sim points.

Depict, in one picture, the essence of your hometown (real or fictional) by sim and setting. Your model must be the center of attention. How much of the model is shown is your choice (that is, head shot, half body, full body, whatever). Choose color, black & white, sepia, or any combination thereof. Please include a thin border, your choice of color. Very important: Do NOT include ANY written text with your post except to tell us the name of your hometown (if you do include any other text, your picture will not be accepted, although you may be allowed to resubmit an entry if the deadline has not passed). Also refer to the opening paragraph of this competition.
DEADLINE for submission: To be determined after entries are complete.
Example: Your richly dressed model holding shopping bags in the foreground of this pic of Wall Street would shout New York City.:
Requirements:
1. One photo of your hometown’s essence

3. No text in photo or in post apart from name of hometown
4. Thin border (your choice of color)
Scoring: This is an elimination competition, although there will be no Mock eliminations unless we have an inordinate number of entries. Mock entries will be evaluated (you can earn up to 50 points) based on
1. Presentation of essence of locale by both model & set…10 points each
2. Picture quality (including editing and clarity)…10 points
3. Requirements…10 points
4. Originality & creativity…10 points

I'm not familiar with the On Location competition, but yes, you will be expected to portray the essence of the chosen locale.
