I've got to admit that I haven't even played with Midnight Hollow yet, even though I bought it right when it was released.
I think it might take a while to get around to that. I mainly bought it for the Savvy Seller's Collection, because I so want to add shops of all sorts in all my towns and maybe even a mall or two. I didn't see where anyone else started a thread for just sharing shops they've created, so I thought I would start one.
I want to see all your shops that you have created, so this is a share your shops thread for any world and not for just Midnight Hollow, just as long as its a shop or a venue of some sort created with the Savvy Seller's Collection set from Midnight Hollow. If you've uploaded your creation please provide a link for easy access and it would probably be a good idea to also let everyone know if you used custom content or not in your creation. I can't wait to see everyone's creations! :P

I've been so short of time this week but I did manage to update my dockyard:
My criminal sims (not played with them for a while, they need a good cas):
Handy:
I actually got a bit overwhelmed last night, there were so many options I didn't know where to start building!
Cinderellimouse I hear ya, there are so many things to build and so little time. Your dock looks great, what a creative idea! Thank you for sharing, I just love that the guy peed in the toilet, talk about getting used goods, LOL!
Thank you, I was having a hard time yesterday searching through threads trying to find shops that others have created and I am hoping this thread will help bring some of those shops together in one place. :-)

Bring your Family to purchase their Toy's here as we specialise in toy's for those dark homes in MH. Parents can have fun here too with our creepy machines upstairs or watch over the kids outside in the play area next to convenient public all in one bathrooms. So do not forget our store before Halloween or Birthdays or even unbirthdays. Be careful of using the chemistry set and telephone box teleporter as you never know what will happen. Created at 69 Breach Bend, Midnight Hollow with NoCC/CAP.

It seems like it would work, unless the changing of the seasons (and therefore the items) would interfere with the whole price setting thing.... ?
That sounds like a neat idea!
I don't know if anyone has tried that yet. I certainly haven't, messing around with the seasonal lot marker has been on my list of things to do, but haven't gotten around to that yet, LOL. Maybe somebody will take you up on that challenge.
I decided to spiff up one of my consignment stores with the Savvy Seller's rugs to see if I could sell everything on display in it. It worked great, I just put the rugs under everything I wanted to sell and recolored them to match my store like so:
This area I completely covered with rugs and made them a solid color, so you can't even tell they are there:
Now everyone shops around, instead of just taking books off the bookshelves to sit there and read the whole time:
And you can still use the consignment register to buy and sell your collectibles and creations:
The Altos trying out the double bed before they decide to buy it or not, LOL:
Sure I can do that. The consignment store is already in my studio, but I will upload the new updated version this evening and post the link for it.

What great ideas...love the idea of combining consignment with SS rugs. I'm a bit of a lazy one when it comes to commercial lots.
My first store was an art supply store. I discovered that easels can't be sold, but other artsy supplies and tools are good to go

Only through the consignment register that came with Ambitions, you can't sell what you made with the Savvy Seller's stuff though. I just added the Savvy Seller's rugs to my consignment shop, so I could sell the items that I had on display in it.
I love what you've done with the Midnight Hollow Shops. There much brighter and more colorful, so much easier on the eyes than the original shops. Thank you so much for sharing, downloading and rec'd.

What do you mean your flower shop isn't as good as mine! It's adorable, and looks like its perfect for Midnight Hollow! I hope you can get your link working.

Your art store is so cute, I can't wait to try it out, I'm going to download and rec'd right now, thank you for sharing.

This is what it looks like on the outside:
(I have to admit I stole some of Weealbet's idea from his 'Let's build a store - part 2' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z36Tg7TxHWs&feature=c4-overview&list=UUoR9Ip7wTdTPmLPOQplBYmQ )
And I was just testing the lot so the sims are a bit randomly dressed.
This is the exterior of the shop. It's not in MH, it's in my world in the arty section that needs building up.
This section is the magic store selling wands and other bits and bobs.
I enclosed the register in the new fencing which I'm very happy with!
Then this is my elixir shop. I was playing around with my witch sim, if she owns the lot she can decorate it with her magician items and also sell some elixirs!!! I can also get her to decorate the shelving with gemstones (I wish we could sell these items with the savvy seller so that sims could buy them, but they vanish if I load another household so I guess it's the gems/elixirs that's causing the issue, but this is a nice thing to do anyway.)
Then there's a sneaky door that leads to the upstairs tearooms. I was recently gifted the Through the Looking Glass sets and I found the items PERFECT for a cute, quirky tea room!
And finally there is an underground werewolf bar! Full of tree décor to make them feel comfortable.
I'm going to replace the fence with the new tree divider from the new set, and also replace the lights over the bar and dj booth.
The only issue is that the sims keep leaving the bar to go and browse the items for sale! I think I might have to add the savvy seller doors or something.
