THE UNOFFICIAL WISHLIST

This is a place for in-game created gifts, not store items.

Recently I have started building gifts for the people who have made this a very special place for me to come. I would love to be able to gift people with store items, but my circumstances just mean I can't afford it. On top of this many of my amazing friends have dead, empty wishlists, so SPs won't do me any good there.

In order to build my gifts I have been going to each person and asking them a tonne of questions to be able to create them a gift that would suit them, but this takes all of the surprise out of it for them, so I was thinking wouldn't it be brilliant if all of this information was altogether somewhere.

Well that is the reason behind this thread, so now for the thread itself.

I was hoping that all of you wonderful people would take the time to answer a few questions here, so that when someone would like to gift you a build or sim they can come here, find out everything they need to know, and what you would like, (your unofficial wishlist).

Just a note, this isn't a request list, by answering the questions you are not guarenteed that someone will create this gift for you, just as when you put something on your WL you are not guarenteed that someone will gift it you.

I will keep a list of everyone I have an unofficial wishlist for on the next post, if the person you are looking for isn't there, let me know and I will ask them to create one for you, but they won't know it is for you I am asking for, so it will still be a surprise. If you can't find your target on The Simpoint Free Gifting Directory either, I would be more than willing to ask them to visit there as well.

I hope that this all makes sense, and if any of you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

I really hope that this makes life easier for a few of you, and puts some smiles on faces.

My Unofficial Wishlist

1. I own all of the Ep's and Sp's so far.

2. If it isn't on my WL I own it. However, if I don't own something that you put in a gift for me, it will go at the top of my wishlist, and I will do everything I can to get it asap.

3. I also own all of the worlds so far, except Midnight Hollow and Roaring Heights. As much as I love playing the other worlds, I do tend to find myself gravitated towards Sunset Valley, next to that it is Isla Paradiso and Lucky Palms.

4. I don't use CC in my game. Sorry.

5. I tend to build a lot, but I am completely useless at CAS, I tend to end up playing sims that look identical with the exception of clothes and hair colour lol. I haven't heard of berry sims until I came here, :oops: but I am willing to try anything lol, I like my game to vary.

If you are a builder too, I love homes to feel lived in, so clutter is brilliant, but as I said before my game varies quite a bit, so beyond that I like all different types of homes.

I rarely build community lots, and I'm sure my sims could benefit to some new places to hang out.

If I missed anything out, just let me know.

6. In my own builds I tend to use pastels, but whatever works with the build is great. As regards sims, I try to avoid brown, (a family OCD thing lol). I just don't want to put limits on your creativity.

7. Just brown clothes really lol. Anything else is great for me.

I like cool houses, berry sims, and if you're in for a SUPER BIG CHALLANGE, a berry-themed world. By cool houses I mean, well, anything! ^.^ cozy houses are nice......I like them better then modern houses. Victorians, are awesome. Anything fun is nice, if you could do some type of maze in a house with mirrors, kind of like a fun house! lol

6. Favourite Colours?
Blue. Any shade of blue, but I honestly love all colors

7.Dislikes?
Nada. he fact that you woul make me something is simply amazing!!! *hugs*

What a fun idea! Hopefully we can get those serial gifters in here! Leave it to you to come up with something so awesome!

I've also peeked at past Secret Santa and the new Valentine's post to see if my giftees have written a letter of their game wishes.

I don't need a single thing because my wonderful friends are all WAY too good to me, but your list looks too empty, so I'll add to it.

The Questions.
1. Which games do you have?
*All but Sweet Treats and 70,80,90's stuff. (hoping to get Uni soon, but not yet)
2. What store content do you own?
*Pretty close to all of it. The items on my wish list are pretty much all I don't have.
3. Which worlds do you own? Which is your favourite?
*I own all the worlds. I love Moonlight Falls and haven't gotten to really explore MV yet. I also love Lucky Palms and Aurora Skies.
4. CC, yes or no?
*Hair or patterns only, with a link, and nothing from TSR.
5. What's on your Unofficial Wishlist?
*I love sims with an interesting backstory. I need them as households, because my CAS isn't working. I don't care what race they are (no berry sims)or if they're supernatural or not, just give them some drama and send them on over! Lol!

As far as builds, I like small or medium things - nothing bigger than 40 x 40. I like log cabins, victorians, or a run-down grungy/punk kind of place. Something fun and unusual will always make me smile!

I love the Drifter's Desire & le Cirque sets,(clothes and/or items) any type of lot that used those would be really cool - the Wonderland sets, too. (I have the Dr. Pepper items also...ALL of them!)I'd be just as happy with a bright, fun build as I would with a dark, edgier "Alice the Madness" vibe.

6. Favorite Colors? None, really. I like pretty much everything except...

7. Dislikes? Neon colors, Berry Sims, closets and laundry rooms. I dislike laundry, therefore, so do my sims! Lol!

Really, anything that anyone went thru the trouble to make specifically for me would be amazing and precious to me!

My Unofficial Wishlist

1. Which games do you have? All except Sweet Treats

2. What store content do you own? Almost all of it! I only have about 1/3 of the clothes though.

3. Which worlds do you own? Which is your favourite? All My favorites are Sunlit Tides, Moonlight Falls & Monte Vista

4. CC, yes or no? No please

5. What's on your Unofficial Wishlist? Starter couples (don't really care for berry sims) Fit athletic with varied traits ( I tend to make my sims all the same), Hunky sims!! LOL Pets (mainly horses but love them all). Believe it or not IMHO builders don't build for themselves much and I usually don't play in my builds. I usually start another one and just don't get back to play in any of them. Starters are hard for me, I just can't build small 2 bdr homes LOL. So small to medium homes would be great. I like earth tones and teal/blues is my favorite color. Don't much care for neon's! Pastels are fine though. Just about any type of build I love variety.

This is a great idea!

One small suggestion though, maybe add in a section for favourite and least favourite colours, because people may forget to put that in otherwise. (I noticed that Terrylin is the only one who mentioned anything about colour)

Now I shall step away and ponder over things that I am lacking. When fully pondered, I shall return.

Believe it or not I have been dreaming about this thread last night, I am so excited about it. The two things I thought about were doing my own and adding about colours to the list of questions.

Here is mine:

Unofficial Wishlist

1. Which games do you have? Everything except Sweet Treats, and 70s, 80s, 90s

2. What store content do you own? I have a fair bit of it, and I'm always happy to buy more if it is part of a build!

3. Which worlds do you own? Which is your favourite? I own all of the worlds except Lunar Lakes. My favourite is tied between Hidden Springs, Monte Vista and Sunlit Tides, depending on the mood I am in.

4. CC, yes or no? No, I'm irrationally scared of CC

5. What's on your Unofficial Wishlist? Stylish starter and mid-range homes, all varieties of nightlife lots, parks.

Update: Ok, so there is something really specific that I would absolutely love, so I am posting here on the off-chance anyone feels like building it for me ;D

I have a sudden craving for a small-ish (2-bed maybe?) house for an old-fashioned, eccentric explorer/adventurer. I'm picturing a lot of woods inside, maps on walls, luggage on floor, lots of trinkets from around the world, all a bit chaotic but cool - the sort of place you'd imagine Phileas Fogg or someone living :P I think it would be sort of steampunk-lite in style, if that makes sense? If only there were animal rugs in the game...

My dream for this house would be for the front part of the upstairs to be on pillars only, and that part would have the biggest windows available so the house could be perched at a high point in Hidden Springs for the best views. If there were any grounds they'd be rugged trees and shrubs.

Having typed all this I do think I should seek out one of the request teams as this is very niche, but I'm in no hurry so I'll just post here for now - I do love this thread anyway

6. Favourite Colours? I like rich and quite masculine colour schemes - I love different shades of greys and greens especially, and dark woods - I really like EA's mid-century fantasy set photo! I also like Scandinavian style colour schemes - lots of white and natural tones, with the occasional bright feature.

7. Dislikes? It isn't so much a dislike, but since I don't use cheats and I'm not very good at Sims I don't have much use for palatial houses, so I prefer standard-sized suburban/modern houses.

Unofficial Wishlist

1. Which games do you have? I have all EP's and SP's. (And I will have University Life when it is released so nothing is off limits!)

2. What store content do you own? I'll update this later. I don't have a list anywhere. I have a fair amount so feel free to use store content. I do not have any of the t-mobile items, but I have a good amount of the Dr. Pepper items. Just try to avoid the items on my wishlist?

3. Which worlds do you own? Which is your favourite? I do not have Barnacle Bay. I have Aurora Skies Gold and the standard versions of all the other store worlds. My favorite EP world is Moonlight Falls (I also play Starlight Shores a lot). My favorite store world is Lucky Palms (I also really like Sunlit Tides). The only custom world I currently have installed is Legacy Island II, but I love all of Rflong7's worlds. I just wanted to free up some space on my computer.

4. CC, yes or no? No.

5. What's on your Unofficial Wishlist?

I love playing households other people have made. I'd like small households (4 or fewer sims) with no pets or supernaturals, not much money, and an interesting story or composition (e.g. Married couple with a kid each from a previous marriage, etc..). ^^

I'd also love families or sims portraying the Game of Thrones characters if anyone likes making look-a-like sims. ^^

I'm really lazy when it comes to customizing community lots so any of those would be great! Everyone on this forum is so creative with their themes. Either matching them to a particular world or a unique theme is fine by me.

I prefer small, standard lot sizes for community lots. I'm not picky, but any of the following would be very useful for me: Zen garden/martial arts training place, nectary, community garden/fishing spot with unique plants and fish, showtime venues, Late Night bars and clubs, stores with multiple registers (consignment, WA, etc..).

Houses are always appreciated! I love houses with any type of basement included. Whether it's just a small room or like a full floor of a house, I always enjoy having that bonus space to put to use. I'd also like to have an indoor or outdoor pool with a diving board, but not too large. I'm terrible at designing the wallpaper and exterior wall covering of houses so I love seeing what you all come up with. That's my least favorite part of decorating/building and it's so important!

I don't like huge houses/lots, but I do like to have 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms and a nursery and 2 bathrooms. Sorry if that is too challenging to accommodate in a smaller house! I know a lot of people like open floor plans, but I kind of like having my kitchen in a separate room with a door. I usually have large kitchens decked out with all the appliances and with seating. I tend to overuse the Edwardian kitchen set, Monte Vista pizza oven, and PC ice cream maker and deep-fryer. I'd also like to have a barbecue space on the lot. My sims love to cook. I recently got the teppanyaki grill, but I have not used it yet. If you could incorporate that into the kitchen or an entertainment space I'd love it!

I now own the greenhouse set! My sims love to garden year round. If you could find space for the new PC swiftgro station and/or a space for indoor planters that would be wonderful.

^Sorry for that long wall of text! That's just a list of my ideals. I don't actually expect anyone to make a house with everything. I'll appreciate anything that comes close or anything made with me in mind.

Honestly, I'll play any house with a basement. haha

I prefer traditional style architecture to modern, but still appreciate modern houses. I'm really not too picky!

6. Favourite Colours? I like all colors. Any shade of green is my favorite.

7. Dislikes? Cats/Dogs/Small pets. I love them in real life, but they are too much of a chore for me in this game. I enjoy the horses in the game, but I actually haven't played with them in awhile. Sims with the animal-related lifetime wishes are not desirable for me.

Celebrities. Before there was a system for disabling celebrity, I maintained a post requesting one. I now disable celebrity in nearly all of my save games.

almost it all... to much to list... what I don't have is mostly the furturistic looking things..... but used pretty I might buy it or wish for it.
I do NOT have any origin only promotions (well I do have the bee and sark custume... but some times people gift the codes)... I don't have all limited items, I do have most dc. Pepper (think it is only a suit and the pictures I
don't have) I do have the T-mobil and ford items.... but if you stay with stuff I can still get in the store then your safe... other option is to ask.

all... favorit... hmm well the next world I'm moveing my legacy to is HS....

4. CC, yes or no?
NO
and no home made patterens either... only EA pattern and items

5. What's on your Unofficial Wishlist?
family homes (1 double bed, 3 twinbeds and a crib as minimum) at difrent price ranges
basecamps for EA worlds as I use traveler (well intend to)
nice community lots, that either compine functions or is EP specific lots made to fit in some other world (like a bowling ally/acade combo, malls, bars ect.) I just want any family friendly lot to also have a potty chair for my toddlers... and if possible (and logical) food and fun for animals.
I like remodels, a little recolor and new furniture and an EA house is like a new house especially if you give it a few extra changes like adding and removeing walls and changing the landscape. Also using a EA house for something ells than it was build to be might be fun.
There is a house in the uniworld, big house on the corner right acros the roade from the uni, near the grocery shop, on the same road as the coffe house ... I would love for it to be made to a dorm. As my legacy family is rich some kids migt rent a house BUT I would find it fun if the family had bought a house and made it a dorm, and all my kids live there. a dorm that had only single rooms, and do have nice facilities but not luxury. And ofcourse have a pool and a vegigarden, and activities for all majors and many other skills.
lots to make the travel experiens better in other worlds, WA worlds + MV, LP, DV and IP as that's my main travel worlds.... could be almost any type of community lot, often using the barrier system.

also takeing part in anything I host... or even just come by and chat... or telling friends about it... is an AWSOME gift

and using my contests and lotteri ideas that I posted here http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/684216.page will be amazing... there is no way I can host it all...

6.Colours?
I don't like them screaming... or the sim/house to be monocrome (using only shades of the same color) I like a natural mix. neaon colors is only fine for details... as long as it look good togheter any color goes.

7. Dislikes?
overly croveded houses/lots that are hard to play
futuristic and sifi house... I try to keep my game mostly realistic....
Cap patterens... I try to limit them in my game, so I don't install them very often only selct few, so don't use them. They facinat me... but I don't want many in my game.

I hardly ever play ocult type sims... or berry sims... I mostly play normal.
I mostly play my legacy, and what ever lots and sims I wish for is to enchance the playing experients with them, so they are to remodel the town (comunity lots) make use of extra towns as travel destination (got mods, so basecamps fit for difrent towns) new sims to meet (townie sims for home town or new sims for WA towns or new young uni sims)

I really hope that they work well together to annetesb, but if you or Bethymai feel that they clash at all, just say, then we could transfer this information there and let this thread die. I don't want anyone to feel like I'm treading on their toes.

I started this to make surprising these wonderful people easier, which I think is where they differ a bit, but just let me know how you feel about it.

I think they can... especially if they link to each other....

they more like siblings...

edit: they also ask for difrent things.
this is more general what do you like... perfect for 100% surprice
the directionary is 5 specifick wishes pr person... stil surprice... but difrent.

in that way they complet each other...
