Got to love those party guests who never want to leave
And I am amazed that Dreamfall ended as a cliffhanger and we have not gotten a sequel yet. I really thought April was going to be hooked up with that warrior in the second game, I would like to know if April really got killed or if she was rescued by the man with that air ship.

It's been so long that I've forgotten much of the game's story. I would love to play it again, but I think the DRM is Securom, and I've already went through the trouble of removing it from my system. I should check out if DreamFall is available on Steam. I would get it again if the price is low and I can have it without Securom.
Darkling's Mystery I created a thread once, about curious things that simmers have observed in their game. @Darkling had one, and I noticed something similar...and the culprit.
Nice to know sim paparazzi are just as creepy as their real life counterparts!
Recently, this plasma juice just randomly appeared in my Legacy house.
No one this household is a vampire and neither are any of the family friends so I have no idea where this came from. Now, here's the funny part. The sim throwing out the plasma juice is Danzig. I made him before Late Night came out and (as you can tell by his skintone) I wanted him to be a vampire but for some reason I haven't gotten around to turning him yet.
I think this is my game's way of telling me to get off my butt and ship Danzig over to the DarkSide already!
Darkling, I think I may have an explanation for the mysterious plasma juice box.
This is disturbing on so many levels. Not only is she littering in a house she's supposed to be cleaning but apparently the "normal" human has aquired a taste for plasma...
I'll be watching my maid like a hawk from now on.
That was a bit freaky. I left it out in the middle of the floor, but the maid refused to pick it up.
Out of curiosity I had Zoe drink it.
Not a good thing to do to my poor sim, but now I know. :XD:
I eventually fired that maid. She slapped Zoe's husband around for no reason. :P
As for Zoe and Alec, life continued on.
Simmers say that TS2 has charm.
I say there are a couple of things in TS3 that have it too.
Watching my sim build up her Mixologist skill have made me crack a smile numerous times. It was a bit boring at first, but as her skill rose the entertainment factor rose as well. The new Late Night dance moves are also charming.
This has been a nice week of simming. I really enjoy this household. My sims, their homes, their careers, their friends.
Zoe started off as a Private Investigator, but I got bored of it and began letting her sculpt on the side. I then made sculpting her main gig.
Alec was a Journalist, but I made him quit after he reached the top of that career track. He now works at home as a novelist.
So they both work at home and have their hobbies. Alec has a lifetime wish to max out his charisma and guitar skills. He's done with charisma and is now working on the guitar skill. Zoe mixes up skill drinks for him.
Kid number one is here and a girl is next.
Avatar me apparently likes them too. He came over for a visit on his own. Walked right up and placed an ear on her belly.
I did't waste any time getting out of the baby stage.
I'll have pics from the pool party probably tomorrow.
I've got Dreamfall laying around the house somewhere, but I don't think that I would replay it. I have played the first game twice, and I would probably play it again. There are usually a few years between me playing it over, so that I forget how to solve most of the game.

Ooh...I should play the first one again.
I hope it works on 64-bit Vista.
Pool Party! It must be the combination of my sims, their house, and their collection of friends, because I found myself really enjoying throwing parties. The house just seemed great for it and I liked the sims that I would invite over.
 Biggest picture post ever.
Sorry, yet another party and the last I will show, but it was kinda fun.
I figure my sims will be too busy soon with kids, so why not throw another one.
Plus, Zoe learned how to make crazy drinks. I just had to find out what would happen if she passed them out to everyone. First, Alice Gilscarbo.
Alice had a second one right away.
One for Olivia. Can't wait to see her loosen up.
The lady in the blue sweater crashed the party. She was chatting up Lee-Roy Johnkins while Zoe stood their holding his drink. I asked her to leave. :P
Kitty.
Sheena.
Alice has her party animal on.
While these ladies just want to mellow out in the hot tub.
Micheal went swimming with his clothes on.
No wild and craziness here.
Lee-Roy is seeing...things.
Yes, that is a nice hand dryer.
Now she's working out.
I think someone should call her a taxi.
Alice said it was a great party and then promptly changed into formal wear.
Another baby on the way, but Zoe still has the moves.
Micheal is checking out art now.
OK, Lee-Roy. Bye, bye. I think he spent the whole party freaking out.
You're stil here? I thought you left.
Bye, Sheena.
Oh...looks like Michael is totally insane.
"Just joking. I'm all right."
He might make a nice match for Kitty. I had Zoe convince him to dance with her.
I like the expression on her face.
She's tired. I sent her to bed.
Oh you chicken! What do you mean the party is over?
Bye, Kitty.
What are you starring at Olivia?
Oh, nice paint speckles...I mean...Nice stars.
Alright! There you go. She finally gets wild. After everyone leaves.
I finally got fed up with this. The kids are becoming celebrities, and the paparazzi have run of the place. I'm glad they aren't strolling inside the house.
I felt the need to do something about it and realized that, although I love my sim's home very much, I think I need a change of scenery. Plus they have gotten extremely wealthy with all that supernovium and other precious metals they have collected. Time to move to a more exclusive place.
The daughter was the last to leave the house.
It was almost as if she was sad to leave it. Of course we know The Sims 3 isn't that deep of a game, but it helps to pretend it is.
Moving from downtown to the suburbs.
It's been so long since I've actually played this home. I missed it.
I don't think she's impressed.
She'll get used to it.
I think I'm going to have to redecorate. It's too stuffy for Zoe's character.
You can't even see downtown from here.
I'm already rennovating the pool area. Added a hot tub. Seri is checking it out.
Pizza guy is here. He has a long walk up.
Even the pizza guy is star-struck
The kids ate earlier.
Bed time, but the adults are in for some quality time.
I think it's time to host more parties.
I'll miss the old place, but not too much.
Now all I need is to put up gates to keep the paparazzi out.
This was funny to me. :-o
After Alec and Zoe moved out of that house, Story Progression moved avatar-me in, along with my Sim-Arl wife it hooked me up with.
Part of me still gets to live there.
I love the pop-ups Twallan's story progression mod gives me. I don't miss anything going on in the neighborhood.
It's a nice reminder to myself that I have enjoyed the game.
Going Medieval I did take a little break from TS3 to give Medieval a shot. Initially, I was charmed by the game, but it was just too different from TS3 for me to really enjoy it.
[One Time Only: A Medieval Picture Flood]
I'm still mixed on this game...more than I'm mixed on TS3. :P
I had a couple of interesting quests and I've found time to have some of my favorite characters interact. I'm having a hard time with the lack of freedom, very little channels for creativity, and little room for imagination.
But here are some pics from my game.
King Henry need to experiment by putting some innocent person in the stocks.
He wasn't nice about it.
I made him a very greedy king.
His knight, Odette, in her training outfit.
And everyday wear.
Elspeth, my wizard.
Being visited by my physician, Aron.
He loves the magic.
I was on the quest in which the king seemed to have lost his mind.
Sims started dying.
It was up to Aron to do something about it.
Kids.
I'd make her a knight if she could actually grow up.
Aron got the king alone.
And ended the problem.
I'm not going to give the story twist away, but it was interesting.
The king is dead!
Long live the Queen!
Queen Gwenetth. She was a radom sim and I tweaked her a little.
I made Henry as a Joke. Gwenetth is a more serious monarch.
I played Medieval for a little while, but I ended up getting frustrated over the lack of control of your characters lives. I didn't mind having missions, but as it was a Sims games, I felt that you needed to have more control over your sims. I did like the look of the sims in the game, and I kind of wish that the regular sims looked a little more like the Medieval sims.
Melonie deserves a baby girl. :P So I'm intervening in a very Vulcan kind of way. If the game is generating males because of the abundance of female elders and adults, the solution lies in reducing their numbers so the game generates females to restore the balance among young sims.
Soo....
Sorry.
Geez, you're making me feel worse. Get up.
Yeah, it's your birthday...
But I wouldn't cheer about it...
Sorry.
This is awful. This is horrible, but necessary.
*shrieking with laughter*
"The Great and Terrible Purging of the Females!" Just as funny now as when I first read it...wonder what that says about me.

I felt pretty much the same. There were many times in the game when I had to do something that I really didn't feel like doing, but I felt pressured by the game telling me what to do next.
Strangely enough, I think Karma struck back since the game eventually went corrupt. I don't Grim's handiwork was the cause, but I do wonder sometimes. I think taking out my mod's and patching the game without resetting the town first messed things up.
So much controversy over an EP that tried to address common complaints by simmers: Children and teens don't have much of a life, and weddings are lackluster in TS3. It also brought a lot of cool new objects, but was called a Stuff Pack for the effort. Apparently simmers were still confused about what a Stuff Pack is. I liked the EP for the most part. The only major fail I think EA made was their take on Memories. Other weaknesses are that some features felt representational instead of interactive. Prom, ballet, scouting, boarding schools. I liked it despite these faults, but dang, why not a headmaster scenario?
so i'm a tad stuck, im reading a heap of negative things about this EP, and i was pretty pumped to get it...
but.... i was going to be trading in my xbox360 copy of L.A Noire to get this EP, (i have finished L.A Noire)
but in your opinions is it worth me getting this new EP and trading in L.A Noire, or should i just wait....??
I loved "Late Night" but dunno if this new one is worthy.. id love to see some pic's and hear your personal opinions, or links to other thread's with good things about the game, coz all im seeing is NEGATIVE!!
Help!
much love
I guess it's all in how you look at it.
I'm seeing it as more valuable then WA, Ambitions, and Late Night. (Only because I detest Celebrity so much in LN)
I just feel the base game is finally what it should be now with Generations and sim life will be a bland thing without it. Yeah we can still have weddings without it, but I never bother with weddings because I hated how they all just stood around gawking. Now more sims will have formal weddings in my game.
But before the wedding was the Bachelor party. I didn't even prepare much for it and it was still the best sim party I've had in the game. The sims behaved like they were actually there for a party.
The lone female is his partner from his law enforcement job.
The poor girl was the main target for spritzing.
Good thing the dancer showed up.
Flirt.
But it's just a feeling because I really haven't dug all that deep with the game yet.
I gave the bachelors a test run since the other sims had no children
Pranks weren't on the top of the list for me, but I think I will find story scenario uses for them. I'm enjoying Generations and I value this EP.
I've played the bachelors before Generations and at that time, in this particular Sunset Valley, Simis Bachelor was a real jerk to Jocasta and Bella. It ended in a divorce and a yelling match between Bella and Simis.
It was Bella's birthday when I loaded up the household with Generations.
She's very good friends with Mortimer. and he happened to come home with her today.
No chance to let her try out the tree house, although I could have turned aging off. I wanted her to move on to being a teen. She has a little brother on the way, so he'll get the tree house.
Always the spandex pants.
I decided to celebrate with fireworks.
Plumbob. Perfect.
I was surprised to find Bella and her mom had taken off during the fireworks spectacular.
For some crazy reason they went all the way across town to play catch in someone else's backyard. This has never happened before.
But on the way back, I decided to let Bella work out some buried anger.
I sent her to her dad's house.
Unfortunately, he wasn't home.
Curfew came around and she autonomously started on her way home. Now he shows up.
Wow, he's old now. Old, bitter, and cranky. :P
It's past curfew and no psychic cops yet.
Vengence! You old meany.
Now for the great escape.
No teleport potion.
Durn kids!
I'm just shocked that she hasn't been picked up by the cops. I believe it's after midnight.
I love Bella's revenge. The last time I played the Bachelors the game became corrupt whilst Bella was still a child. Grr! well that was before I had mods.
BTW, I've placed Simscura in Lucky Palms with a slight change to the outside decor. The Arcade and P.U.R.E. are there too.

Clean Slate Sunset Valley seemed like it would be a perfect place to play Generations. I started over fresh with a new neighborhood, but I decided to try an empty map, so I could fill it with CAS sims and custom lots.
I'm playing my Lisa Bunch sim's family, but after that I'm getting rid of all my old Saved games. They seem really glitchy since Generations. I'm starting fresh. That means editing the towns again. :P
I downloaded a blank Sunset Valley. It should be interesting to have it filled with a majority of CAS sims.
It should be very similar as my latest Sunset vally, but with no EA made homes and I'm moving the Bistro to the beach.
It didn't work out so well.
Rats. Rats. Rats. Rats. Rats!
All that work on my new Sunset Valley and I had to start all over again.
It was looking really nice too.
I think that blank Sunset Valley template I downloaded isn't compatible with Generations. My SV was crashing over and over again. I think the crashes were related to the school.
Ok, my Sunset Valley do-over is near finished.
My stylist sim is going around putting the shine on townies with poor fashion taste.
I put in these Pleasantview homes just for nostalgia.
This is the original Landgraab Mansion.
I had forgotten what it used to look like.
Because it has evolved over time.
I turned the Goth Mansion so the front entrance is accessible.
I got rid of the beat up wood paneling on EA's consignment store.
I love my new beach front.
The Bistro has been moved here.
I like hanging out at the Bistro now, and my sim can sit down, have a drink, and bore the mixologist with conversation.
The beach now has restroom facilities and showers.
Old Pier Beach is still here. It has hot tubs now and it's directly across the street from my dance clubs.
I'm sorry, but this is not the mother of Bella Bachelor. :P
This is the mother of Bella Bachelor.
Bella's mom is hawt!
Tweaked the Altos...
Tweaked the Bunchs
Especially the one that really needed it. :P
98% of EA's homes are replaced.
It's not as quirky as their old home, but oh well.
Tweaked the Goths too, but it's hard to see them here.
Tweaked and moved in the Langeraks next door to the Bunchs. The Bachelors are across the street.
Tweaked the Wolffs.
No more living in isolation.
They're urban dwellers now.
You'll get used to it.
I saw these three and they just seemed like the school's mean girls. Although Holly Alto there is just a mean girl wanna be.
I tweaked Darlene Bunch, but I think she lost a little of her Darlene-ness in the process.
Isabelle Hollington Or Issy, as I call her. She was the latest stylist in charge of making over all the townies in my new Sunset Valley. I also intended her to be a romantic interest for my Cairo sim.
The newest sim to my game.
The initial intent was to test out a copy my new Sunset Valley with avatar-me. I moved him next door to the very cute Issy Hollington.
So I go next door to visit only to find her entertaining this guy.
So, I made polite while telling him not to get any ideas.
And promptly got Issy out of there for a night on the town.
Yep, I'm moving fast here.
Uh huh.
But darn it all, the woman is like a magnet for all the single guys in town.
Good thing Cairo lives next door. He can knip this in the bud.
He leaves, I leave, then he comes right back.
Time to throw down the gauntlet.
No, I'll just throw you down.
Well that little fight must have not impressed Issy, because the next day I get a pop-up from story progression saying she's pregnant with Micheal Bachelor's baby. Now where did he come from? :P
Oh, well. Time to look elsewhere. Hi, Velma.
She's geeky, but in a very attractive way.
Some sims just seem special, and Velma is one of those sims for me.
Bistro on the beach in SV.
Did I say geeky? I must have been mistaken.
The Wolffs are regulars in this club.
And it shows.
My Sunset Vally on has two night spots. The other is across the street.
Issy?
Issy who?
Unfortunately, living next door to Issy, Cairo gets constant reminders of her as drunken boyfriends drive into her living room.
Jared Frio now?
Isn't he evil?
So I had Cairo move to a new place away from any Issy distractions.
And Velma went with him. Someone in this apartment building is a bookworm. :P
This place has potential.
Perfect.
There is one loose end to tie up however.
He still has Issy as a romantic interest.
Time to fix this loose end.
Now wait a minute. You're the one who cheated and having a baby with someone else. :P
And why don't you call someone to fix your TV?
Now comes the lecture.
And then a pity party.
But now it's all out of the way and Cairo can move forward.
I must say I am enjoying Generations and these two sims. The bachelor/ette parties were fun and I should married them off last night. I hope this was entertaining between the wait for Lisa and family to return. And that sprouted a huge story post for Velma and Cairo. I played them right up onto Pets.
I am so glad I found this. It was a lot of fun reading. I have been stalking your other forum site with your creations and always download and recommend. You are a great story teller and builder. I hope to see many more of both.
My priorities are a little misplaced, but after going through my game and cataloging my CC, and exporting homes and community lots from neighborhoods that I'm forsaking for brand new saves and a clean game, and finally reinstalling all my store content, I happily join the Pets crowd.
Pets wasn't a huge deal for me, but I'm pleasantly surprised by this EP. It's weird not having custom content, or my heavily edited Bridgeport and Sunset Valley, but I like Appaloosa Plains. This might be the first neighborhood that I hardly touch. I certainly won't be stuffing in any skyscrapers. I think I would like to keep it small town.
I have a few pics. Not many. Really. Trust me.
I also used my Simbot to see how the town reacts without my Mod controlling the "A Simbot!" reaction.
I picked a breed pretty much at random. All I did to him was rotate his ears a bit.
The same goes for his owner and the horse. Of course I named the horse Maximus.
Graceful.
This. This. This.
I sent Dave straight to the equestrian center.
Cool first townie sighting. She fits in well here.
I remember wishing TS2 Pets was like this.
I look forward to learning how to jump the higher obstacles.
Exploring the surrounding territory hoping to spot the local wildlife.
So what's this about Simbots?
I was wondering if EA fixed the crazy reactions to Simbots. I didn't not do any thorough testing but it seems like....sorta...but not completely.
I downloaded Meaghan and put her in the game. Yeah, she's a simbot.
Wild horses were roaming through the town.
I don't think Simbots matter to them one way or the other.
The other Sims...
But at least the bouncer stayed professional enough to let her in.
And the bartender didn't freak out and run away.
Oh get over it, lady.
I had her stop by one of the parks.
MOre freaking-out townies.
At least the animals have more sense. I think my Simbot will own pets. The human sims are too silly.
The cat didn't trust her enough to let her pick it up.
She was up for a brushing though.
Much love.
Too bad my simbot doesn't have one these built into her eyes.
Really nice touch, EA, with the cat pawing at the bug.
Dang humans. Looks like I'm going to need my Simbot reaction mod back.
But that's townies, I want to see how sims she lives with react.
So I moved her in with Dave.
Hey, get over here, stinky.
P U. Give it a bath.
Yeah, I know. Why not toddlers?
Anyway. I like the town, love the pets and wildlife, so far. I haven't had any raccoon raids, but at least I can put out the gnomes if I don't like them and I can still see the around town, I guess, without bring bothered at home.
Nice pics, CK213. I'm liking Pets as well, and it looks like we picked the same house!
I'm making do with EA's until I get mine back into the game. It feels weird playing a sparse house. :P
I am about to move these sims across the street. I have a new line of homes that I think should be tested with Pets. This EP is really going to change how I normally build homes.
I've gotten use to building small cozy homes lately, but pets made me bump out the bathroom on this house.
The reason? This dog bed. It takes a lot of space and I no place to put it in this house. I shoved back the bathroom to make room in the hallway for it. I'll see how the dog get about this space tonight.
The horse objects are great.
The dog is still curious about the new addition to the household.
1st Raccoon spotting.
Noo...strays...where's my gnome?
Hey, do that outside.
The Tack Area
Dog antics are great. So are horses
I think EA may be faking Ambient Occlusion instead of supporting it.
Dog is stressed over the TV. I guess it wants to play with my Sim.

Welcome to the Thread,srodrig.
I'm slowly catching up on my past posts. Lucky Palms has me playing again, so pictures are starting to accumulate. :-o

Crazy enough, but I wonder if it can get crazier.
Yeah, I have a back-load of kid pics.
Zoe was in the early stages of pregnancy during that last party.
I was so annoyed when the pop-up for a boy appeared, but I was ecstatic when a pop-up for a girl followed right after. Twins!
Alec put little Zeri on the floor and walked straight out for a Sorrow Annihilator drink.
He'll adapt.
This is Zack, aged up.
I waited a couple of days before I aged up Zeri.
My first time seeing the peek-a-boo interaction.
Cute.
Off to school.
Ace getting walking training.
Get 'em walkin'. Get 'em talkin'.
Just a cute pic of Zoe.
Zeri has the Artistic trait, like her mom.
Perhaps purple and lilac are favorite colors.
She's in art heaven.
Burglar. :P
I really like this sim couple.

Going Medieval
I did take a little break from TS3 to give Medieval a shot.
*shrieking with laughter*
"The Great and Terrible Purging of the Females!" Just as funny now as when I first read it...wonder what that says about me.
Keep 'em coming!
I felt pretty much the same. There were many times in the game when I had to do something that I really didn't feel like doing, but I felt pressured by the game telling me what to do next.
That was a maniacal night.
The next night was a different story.
The girl is addicted to mischief.
Ok...what are we waiting for? Uh oh.
Rats!
BTW, I've placed Simscura in Lucky Palms with a slight change to the outside decor. The Arcade and P.U.R.E. are there too.
Ha. :-o
I put it in LL too.
Same location.
Sunset Valley seemed like it would be a perfect place to play Generations.
You should upload it.
Agreed! Loving the updates too. Your graphics are amazing.
Or Issy, as I call her.
Generations: Cairo & Velma

Eur?
Let it snow...on TV.
Welcome to the Thread,srodrig.
I'm slowly catching up on my past posts. Lucky Palms has me playing again, so pictures are starting to accumulate. :-o
do you play it with different saves or just have all the sims you play in 1 town and switch households every so often?
you have inspired me to make over SV with all your houses btw LOL
