haha! you chose the starter home I did for my Ridiculon RH game.
The international playboy thing could actually work, using the Traveller mod. Infact, I'd recommend one day doing just that, taking 7 premade girls from 7 different worlds..that would certainly be an interesting story.
I liked that little starter. It was cramped living, but the location was really nice.
I plan to have them visit Isla Paradiso, once I've edited the place to get rid of lag. Can you own property in Traveler worlds, like World Adventure worlds? I plan on having Cairo own a posh place there.
I think Cairo is working too hard but he seems happy that way.
Yes, but I didn't show the naughty bits.
But he does have a lot of irons in the fire, and the ladies are great help. Too bad only one is going to reap the ultimate benefit of all their labor.
I was supposed to be focused on playing, but I can't resist adding stuff and editing Roaring Heights.
The amusement park could use a lot of extra content.
I fleshed out the arcade.
There are so many machines that can go in here, plus those prize machines are badly needed.
It really needs food registers, I also put in the merry-go-round.
The haunted house is a natural fit.
Go for it ladies.
Hey, imitate TS4 sims. Show some emotions, or chat, or something.
That's more like it.
Good, they had fun. There are some more things I want to add to the place. This was just a test run.
It really needs objects that sims can do together to build relationship points.
Back on the farm, there is a new girl: Evelyn Morgan, painter, Artisan crafter, and also a witch.
Frances-Picard Dandy is upgrading Cairo's nectar making machines.
Cairo has racked up a lot of LTR points. I had him purchase the Genie lamp.
Of course he wants money!
"Simsalabim!"
"For once I wish someone would surprise me with an original wish."
Quality time with Frances. I have to figure what will which girl he will choose. An easy one is wishes that roll up. He wanted to watch the stars with Frances. That should get a point, or an object she can put in her room to keep track of how well things are going.
Relationship bars too, but that will probably be full for everyone by the time it comes down to a choice.
The nectar plants are growing well.
This feels like a farm. Like I should know what farm life feels like.
But it's rise and shine, eat breakfast, tend the crops, make nectar.
Yes, that's a lot of life fruit, but his nectar recipes requires it. I calculated it all out.
Yes, I performed math for my sims.
I love the orchard. It's nice to have plenty of cherries. He kept running out at the other house.
Life fruit and flame fruit are the distinctive ingredients in his nectars.
Shirley manages the nectar. Shes stocks it and sells it.
She also assists in making it.
Another dust up.
"You aren't as smart as you think you are. You also can't fight."
Frances is constantly berating everyone's intelligence.
I put in the tea set to counter that "stoopid" social.
Of course the two women who need it most aren't here.
I have been editing pages, fixing the formatting and consolidating the table of contents to match how this new site has distributed posts.
I thought I had worked myself up to page 20 or so.
I liked that little starter. It was cramped living, but the location was really nice.
I plan to have them visit Isla Paradiso, once I've edited the place to get rid of lag. Can you own property in Traveler worlds, like World Adventure worlds? I plan on having Cairo own a posh place there.
I do believe you can. I like to consider Isla Paradiso the fourth vacation world. Even if you cant though, every visit you could revisit the same lot, which will be in the state you left it. Ingenuity in this game leads to wondrous things :}

I will be finding out soon. It's still fall in Roaring Heights, but I am planning on sending them to Isla Paradiso during the winter.
I am currently working on the next post. I saw pop-ups saying you were posting, so I came to check it out.
Now...back to work.
Frances is making the most of her latest invention.
I am expanding the nectary in the basement. It is clear that they will be making a lot of nectar from all the produce they are harvesting. I also put in some bunkbeds. They can sleep between nectar machine cycles and make more nectar without tiring themselves out.
I have had the produce stand for a while, but never used it. I placed a couple at the greenhouse. I will use it to sell extra fruit while my sims happened to be here. It's more for the immersion factor than anything else.
Even life fruit dies. How ironic.
This is actually a good thing, because I have so much in stock. I would like to see if my supply gets me through the fall, winter, and spring.
It takes about three passes to harvest the whole plot, so they are dying all about the same time.
These two are a team.
Although, I think them working so close together all the time is affecting me. I do believe I am starting to favor Shirley. I keep taking snaps of her.
That's right, girls, remain civil and polite.
Angie's science skills are starting to pay off. Gonna clone us some money trees.
TS3 blackbirds.
TS4 blackbird.
Hi, Shirley.
I am not playing favorites! Nope.
Angie's world--science at all levels.
She's a sexy scientist. She's supposed to dress like this.
All the sexy scientists are.
My eyes are on the experiment.
Stop smirking, please.
Frances wanted more scrap, but got caught in an explosion chain reaction.
It's a sad night for Angie.
Her mom passed away.
This morning Evelyn felt the need to chat up and flirt with Cairo. She neglected to get dressed.
Shirley is a Proper sim.
And Evelyn's behavior is not proper at all.
This will not do.
I guess Evelyn wants to tell her what she can do with her opinion.
This isn't over.
Frances isn't in the eye of drama this time.
Now that all the Life Fruit plants are gone, Shirley is planting more common produce and unknown rare seeds.
The Flame Fruits are dying out now.
[Whoosh!]
Someone put her out.
Frances isn't in trouble. Evelyn is casting a good luck charm on her before she uses the fountain of youth.
She's getting up there in age and there is no youth potion currently. They are looking for gems, but just happen to be near the fountain, so I gave it a try. It didn't work.
But they did find Tiberium.
Clone it, of course!
What? Who made that drink?
I didn't even know they could.
I am so bad.
A real Tiberium addict--however, with the properties Cairo want's to purchase and the cars he wants to collect, he's going to need plenty of simoleons.
Well... they can afford this now.
I sent Shirley to inspect the property like a good investment manager should.
She'll spend the night.
Gotta decorate this place while not feeling in a decorating mood.
It's nice reading someone else's stuff for once. Being stuck in your own content for too long is a bad thing. The coconut drink thing came out of a mini-fridge, for some reason the minifridge has all kinds of unique drinks in it, even a beer (Cold One, haha)
The tiberium thing makes me want to play C&C3 again..
Rebuilding Sims 2 inside Sims 3 one lot and sim at a time.
Autumn progresses and the produce is either dormant or dead.
There is plenty of produce in storage. I will have them continue making nectar at the mansion. It has a nectar making shop as well.
The last of the farm's nectar space has been stocked, so the timing is perfect.
I was going to return here in the spring, but I think I will wait a year and just let the Nectar stored here age.
They will enjoy all the seasons at the mansion, fill up storage there, and use up all their fruits.
They can then return to the farm to start the cycle all over again and sell off the aged bottles of nectar.
I am ready for a change anyway. Angie was driving me nuts with her constant jumping on the tractor. The tractor interferes with sim routing, so they are blocked from walking around the property while someone is driving the tractor. Nevertheless I wouldn't mind her for Cairo. There seems to be a top three forming: Shirley, Angie, and Frances.
This is a nice change.
But, I should buy a cabin in the woods or something off the beach to get away from all this now and then.
I am burning off the extra cash buy buying everyone nice cars.
These cars are just pocket change compared to the more expensive ones on his collection list.
I like this location for restoring the classic car.
I did not furnish this home when I built it, so now I am faced with the task of decorating it.
The weather has been dreary, pretty much like the real world I am experiencing today.
This is the study/tea room.
I have a little more to do. I have the classical music going.
The kitchen and dining area.
This is all they have to grow nectar fruit, not counting the orchard on the side of the house.
The nectary is in a basement below the garage.
They are starting a new run, but I now have a concern. There was some nectar already on this lot and it doesn't look like it has aged at all. I am worried about the nectar left aging back on the farm. That was too much work to risk.
So I have built surrounding corridors and I will bring all the farm nectar racks here.
I think I will have a multi-generational nectar legacy here.
I let them do their own thing for a while. Angie earned that technology product device.
They worked on it as a group and I had Cairo pull the Lever of Doom.
It knocked everyone unconscious.
What were you doing have dinner in the sauna anyway?
It knocked them out for two hours and then filled all their needs.
Cool, more time to do stuff instead of going to bed.
Cairo and Shirley went to the Simfu Academy.
Cairo had started practice when he first arrived to Roaring Heights, but had no time due to all the farm work.
Now he has a sparring partner.
Advantage, Shirley.
I am going to have to find ways for the other girls to work closely with Cairo.
Evelyn is proving herself to be more handy than Frances. She can repair and upgrade objects quickly using magic.
KA BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
I finally got around to having a sim blow up a car for scrap.
It was other sim's cars, as I did not expect a chain reaction. Frances came close to blowing up her own car.
Back home, Frances found Shirley Templeton wanting to give her "What For" .
I never bothered to pursue that when I saw the wish come up. I am not sure what it is, but Shirley took matters into her own hands...uh, fists.
Frances has indeed been really obnoxious with all those berating intelligence socials again.
Ok, "What For" has been given.
...and given again.
Evelyn, my Fine Arts sim is also a witch. She has been playing with magic and conjuring apples.
Including the poisoned variety. What if a certain fed-up sim happened upon said apple?
And made a gift of it?
Shirley is too smart for that.
"Thanks, but no thank you."
You are going to need a plan B, Frances.
My my, someone left you a delicious looking apple.
That was nice of them.
Yeah, I figured it would only put her to sleep.
EA really needs to give sims a bit of a dark side to explore, even if you have to go through extraordinary means to get there.
She was up and about in moments although she was supposed to be out for a couple of hours.
The first thing she wanted to do was flirt with Cairo.
Sorry, Frances. I did find a deadly poisoned apple mod, but I am concerned about sims autonomously eating them.
There is no risk with poison apples. Your sim will pass out, sleep for a while, then eventually get nauseous, throwing up the apples contents.
I use them all the time for storytelling to make people pass out when I need them to be knocked out for a scene.
OK, that's what I thought.
I am out of pictures, so it's time to star playing again.
I went into the game last night and was at a total loss for what to do next. I lost my flow from being away so long.
This thread is finally fixed.
These new forums allow more posts per page, so my table of contents was all screwed up. Also font sizes are different and a lot are not supported, and embedded slideshows are broken for Photobucket. I had a lot of things to fix.
I still have to fix my story threads.
That will be a lot of work. I am also thinking about adding larger images for them. Even more work.
Blowing things up might be what Frances needs to work off her frustrations.
I don't believe she is feeling appreciated around here.
Oh, and we have a new girl, Arlene Davis Marks.
Reagan was evicted and Arlene was the replacement. I was surprised that I didn't take any pictures.
She takes over Reagan's role as the communications girl, and cook, since I really don't have much use for a person in this role, which is one of the reasons why Reagan got the boot.
She's making preserves now.
I need to redefine this role. I guess cooking should be the main focus.
Frances and Evelyn are upgrading the two new nectar making machines.
Using magic, Evelyn is so much faster at it than Frances.
Sorry Frances, Evelyn's got this.
Go make some widgets.
The Death phone is ringing.
Yup! A townie has kicked the bucket.
All the bottles of nectar have now been moved from the farm and stored here.
Shirley has a wish to make over 500 bottles of nectar, so she is the primary nectar maker for now.
Angie is helping out with the plants.
Cairo is sneaking a peek at us.
TS3 sims are so sneaky about this. TS2 sims didn't care. They got in your face.
There is always time for tea.
And flirtations. I am keeping an eye on this and romantic wishes. I need a way to score the girls so I can pick the best one.
It looks like more tea time will be needed to counter the negative impact of flirts.
I believe that last series of interactions merits a dragon egg.
Each girl can earn one for satisfied romantic wishes, either her own or Cairo's.
It goes into her room.
You might as well stop. There is a cool off period before you can earn another egg.
Arlene is wasting no time in catching up.
Shirley has two.
And so does Frances.
Ha, Evelyn is proving not as useful when it comes to repairing the nectar machines. She can't use magic to fix them.
Frances will handle this.
She does bring in money with the sale of the inventions and widgets she makes.
It's probably just because she is the new girl.
Maybe.
I am going to need more Crystal Dragon Eggs.
Evelyn is the artisan, so she makes the eggs.
Arlene is leading the egg count, but there are other deciding factors.
There are only two more containers to fill. They will start selling bottles to free up more space.
Only one more bottle to make to fulfill her wish.
The flirting never stops with these two.
Winter is underway.
And these two pick an odd time to watch the stars.
It's more like watching snowflakes.
Evelyn used her LTR points to buy the Philosopher's Stone.
It just seems like something she would choose given her interest in magic.
One baseball into gold.
One book...
...into gold.
This should be good for clearing out all the junk in their inventories.
That's quite useful to the household. I believe this merits an egg.
Of course if she is booted from the household, they lose all benefits to the things she brought. I guess I would have to sell it.
Only a batch or two to go. Shirley seems excited.
I wasn't sure what to do with this room.
Ping Pong will do for now.
Frances had a wish to use the megaphone.
So I had her proclaim her love for Cairo.
EA should have created some kind of response for this.
Just walking off seems highly rude.
Poor Frances. She's not appreciated.
Lately I have been playing TS4--forcing myself really. The girl in my siggy. I wanted to see if playing a criminal would be more fun. Lots of being mischievous, being mean, and fighting. It still feels repetitive and boring. Also trying out new CC hair, make-up, and a replacement for that no-texture grass texture.
I have seen some responses to the proclaim love thing. sometimes the recipient will cheer, sometimes will be disgusted. It can force the Romantic Interest status to appear as well. I see that Cairo's hunger cancelled any response to it..
Rebuilding Sims 2 inside Sims 3 one lot and sim at a time.
Status Update!
I have been away from this thread for so long!
The last I played until the end of June was back in December.
Since then I had been playing TS4 and I have been modding it and adding CC to change the art style to something I can tolerate. I have also been adding mods. I bought the first EP and 2 stuff packs which had me playing for a while.
But then I loaded up TS3 and I had so much fun.
Why the heck am I even bothering with TS4? Well I like the Sims and their animations and some behaviors, but that's about it. I will finish the last few play pics I have and then I am returning to TS3.
My Bachelor Challenge Beta is still going on. I restarted it to try out some concepts. This time I am sending the girls to University, which makes more sense to me. I still have the other save from past play through, and I may finish it. I wanted to send them to Isla Paradiso, but that requires some work to get that laggy place into shape.
Here are some pics from the Bachelor Challenge reboot:
The last day of my sims year at Uni and one of the dormies dies.
Archibald was repairing the Research Station there.
The shock grew his hair out. Archi' had a serious receding hairline.
"Archibaaald!"
It has been so long since I've seen TS3 Grim.
And it's all your fault!
Well... my fault too. I had Shirly tell him to repair an object on the lot.
I thought it was something simple like a clogged toilet.
But this is actually cool. My dorm should have a ghost now. Like a Hogwarts ghost.
I am so used to TS4 sims not being bent out of shape over sim deaths.
Wow, these sims are really heart broken. Even table tennis can't cheer them up.
Well, it was an interesting way to end the school year.
And an interesting way to leave. They didn't take that moving van. Angie ran and Shirley rode her bike.
I think those Into the Future Hoverboards in their inventories are confusing them.
Back to the farm.
It's fall, so there isn't much farming going on, but I do have the green house.
Hmm... I also have to do something about my video card setting. My grass is all blurry.
I probably won't cover more of the challenge reboot as it might be redundant and confusing.
I would like continue the original and finally pick a girl for Cairo to settle down with,.
I am back to wrap up my Bachelor Beta trial.
I had initially intended to use the Traveler mod to have them visit Isla Paradiso, but that would require a lot of work to de-lag the place.
So I procrastinated and eventually stop playing.
So I am dropping that idea and simply wrapping up the Bachelor Beta play-through and use it to figure out a scoring method to choose the best girl for Cairo. Ol' Cairo has a big decision to make. With my help of course. The Bachelor challenged has been refined quite a bit since my absence from this thread.
One of my scoring categories is relationships. Each girl can get a point if one of the other girls is her BFF. She can also get another point if she has the most friends among the household. It's feeling more like a reality show because I sort of have some alliances going. I had one girl choose another girl because it wasn't to her benefit to have her other choice have so many friends.
The girl below was caught in the middle because her choice would give more power to whomever she chose.
So I let her choose by taking the first girl she chosed to interact with. She chose Angie by giving her acupuncture.
Although, this looks more like torture than a friendly act.
Perhaps not...
"Yow!"
Perhaps so.
My bachelor is a Vehicle Enthusiast, and lucky for him that Fresh Prince is still making CC cars.
The latest to his collection.
Nectar making, gambling, and investments have earned them a lot of money. That and Tiberium. When I play this challenge for real, Tiberium will be outlawed. However, I do like the idea of a Tiberium farmer as a scenario. I also plan to play a money tree farmer.
Evelyn received an opportunity that just happened to be exactly what she needed. She has to attend a seminar to earn a guitar skill point. Mastering guitar is part of her lifetime wish. Lifetime wish achievements are part of these girls scores.
I actually have opportunities turned back on. These girls need all opportunities they can get. Competition is tough and they are each so different they can power up in certain areas while being weaker in others. I also have memories turned on as it can be useful to count up how many time a girl has been recorded in the Bachelor's memory. I had to delete a lot of junk memories though.
Go get that guitar skill!
Arlene is the communications girl, despite not actually attending University. She doesn't have a lot to contribute, pluse she came late to the challenge. It does not look good for her. She is trying to level up her skill based writing career and also up her cash level.
Frances needs to crank out inventions to sell at the consignment store as well as master her logic skills. She is using the Multi-tab to multitask.
Shirley and Angie need to meet more people, so they can level up and master their charisma skills. One of the girls that was eliminated from the challenge is throwing a party. This is a good chance to schmooze.
I called in Arlene because their is someone here that she should meet. She can work on writing later.
Shirley is so proper.
Arlene needs to meet Nina Van Horne. She's a celebrity--and becoming a celebrity is part of Arlene's lifetime wish.
The problem is I had becoming a celebrity turned off and Arlene already knows Nina, so she is not becoming a celeb for some reason.
Angie doesn't know Nina and, after impressing her, becomes a celebrity too.
Now I'll have to see if Arlene can become a celeb from being friends with Angie. (Alliance!)
Their missions have been achieved. They are no longer blocked from raising their charisma. The party is still lame, so there is no real reason to stay.
Wow, celebrity turned back on, opportunities turned back on, memories turned back on, and I am attending townie parties--and it's all useful!
Get in, Cairo!
I think Angie is going to be tough for the other girls to beat.
We will see how it goes. It's Friday night. The dating officially starts on their Monday.
First Date: Arlene
Let's do this!
5 Girls, 5 days, 5 dates. My choosing process is quite elaborate. The date is just the final hurdle before the finish line.
Arlene is first.
Now that I think about it, after going through this process, I really don't have sims date a lot, or at least don't put a lot of thought into it.
I do want each girl's date to be different, so I do have to put some thought into it.
Since it's spring, I thought it would be neat to send Arlene and Cairo to the spring festival at the park.
There are plenty of activities to do, like roller skating.
Cairo isn't that good at it.
Arlene is skating rings around him--backwards even.
Perhaps he can rotate in a circle with her?
Nope!
They definitely have to try this.
Perhaps I should have all the girls try it with him on the final day. I am curious.
Arlene has nothing to worry about.
They got in a little dancing.
This is a date, so I am trying to satisfy all their wishes that fit the date.
Arlene wanted to have their picture taken.
And a little flying disc tossing.
Arlene is a celebrity because of part of her Lifetime wish, but I really don't think she will have time to achieve it.
The paparazzi are funny, but still annoying.
Cairo wanted to mind-meld with her.
Kissing someone else on a date seems weird to me, but she needs the lifetime happiness points.
At least she made a weird face while doing it.
Sorry, Cairo, there seems to be a routing issue to that kissing booth.
And then she wanted to pet a deer.
The deer isn't having it.
I wanted them to dine out, so off to the rabbit hole they go.
They came out back here afterwards.
This is cool. It's a great location for Cairo to give her a mandatory 3 flirts to see what wishes come up.
Hmmm... there is a boat nearby, I wondered if they could ride in it, but it's too late. I need to wrap up this date.
Cairo got all irrisistable on her.
Arlene wished to watch the stars with Cairo.
They also wanted to kiss.
That's one for the memory book. There is also scoring opportunities for how many times a girl appears in Cairo's memories.
I had Cairo give her a final kiss to end the date.
I made it a good one.
Arlene now wants to woohoo with Cairo, but he does not have the same wish, so I can't make it happen, but my rules do allow Arlene to flirt with him a few times to see if she can get him wish it too.

That apple didn't sit well with her though.
Is there risk to poisoned apples?
I use them all the time for storytelling to make people pass out when I need them to be knocked out for a scene.
See my Sims 3 studio for latest progress.
Kaboooom!
Where are all these people?
Lately I have been playing TS4--forcing myself really. The girl in my siggy. I wanted to see if playing a criminal would be more fun. Lots of being mischievous, being mean, and fighting. It still feels repetitive and boring. Also trying out new CC hair, make-up, and a replacement for that no-texture grass texture.
See my Sims 3 studio for latest progress.
Yep.
I must have lost my mind for a few months.
It's Back On!
Thanks for all the cars, Fresh Prince.
See my Sims 3 studio for latest progress.
