Do you think that country set is of any decent use? I could see it's appeal if you enjoy animals in your game but that is one feature I have not really cared to explore. It fit quite well with your overall farm-theme that you had going on though.
I laughed at your update with the casino. Those dang paparazzi interrupting your card games, lol.
Lucky me I was gifted the chicken coop too. It makes a great addition to any community garden.
And... hooray... new builds! I look forward to using them.
Sorry to read somewhere on another thread that your computer may be having some issues. Hope you might be able to work out a fix for it or that you purchase a new one with no problems. So what are your thoughts and feelings about the Sims 4?
I looked inside my computer and was surprised to find a heat sensor wire hovering over my video card's soldered circuits. The back of the board is exposed unlike cards in the past. I guess to keep it cooler.
I suspect that bumping my computer desk may have made the wire dip and contact a circuit and disrupt the card. :P
I'll see if that was the case. I move the wire and I did some playing tonight. The card played fine. I'll see what happens with Mass Effect 3.
I'm not sure how I feel about TS4. I am pleased that EA stated that they will focus on the Sims themsleves, but I am a little disturbed by the sims they showed.
It looks like 2 steps forward, one step back. I can't help but feel that they may be more expressive, but the graphics and body models may be simplified.
I just discovered your thread and am reading from the beginning (only on page 5) But loving everything you have posted and written so far. Your Sims are beautiful and you have a great photographic eye. I look forward to seeing how some of these stories develop. Take care of yourself & your PC cause from where I'm at -- things are getting good.

I like it for atmosphere. It helps with a country living setting. I'm not sure what to make of the eggs yet. You can collect some special ones, but I don't know what to do with them. The chicks are cute. I haven't really explored it, but I do feel the need for more farm animals if I wanted a more farm-like setting.
I am testing this house, and not giving the horses the attention they need. They are beginning to annoy me. I have not played with horses enough to know how best to handle them. They are fun to watch.
And during the night, Twallan's Story Progression let me know that Luna Lovegood had taken a wife. I wanted to see, so I popped on over.
Her dad was out front. He still looked young, but his birthday was the next day or simply stuck. Probably stuck.
Ah story progression, Luna is in the army now. I'll assume it's Dumbledor's army.
I can't believe I have not played this house.
Why am I not playing this house? I should be playing this house!
Some other time. Back to the mansion play-test...and...
...boy watching. ]
The chickens had chicks.
Cute, I guess they're good for moodlets.
I have been really neglecting the horses. I think anyone who is playing this home with horses will need to really love caring for them.
I had them try for a foal, and I could have sworn I heard chimes, but I don't think anything came of it.
I tried a gifting party to see what would happen. I think simmers are going to have to arrange the seating themselves for this kind of party. The house does not lend itself naturally to it.
Too much snow and snow days. I have stir crazy teens because of it. I had to get them out of the house.
I should have sent them out earlier. This is kinda nice.
Man! I have really not paid attention to my sims. The girls are aging up.
I grabbed this family from the Sim Bin. They have ben there for a while. I can't remember if they were created in CAS as a family or born in the game and saved to the bin.
Cara first.
Not what I expected. :-)
Hmm...those Cairo Firenze and Amy Li genes mixed pretty well. Uh...did I tweak them as teens? I can't remember. :?
Your turn, Amanda.
Hmm...she looks just like a girl in Lisa Bunch's town. I wonder if Cairo...
Not what I was expecting either! I change her hair because she looks very much like her mother. That's the official Amy Li hair.
Ok, the stir crazy moodlet is gone. Go home.
I forgot about high school graduation. :P
At least they have decent weather.
Spring is coming. The river is melting.
I spoke too soon. Hail.
I like the multiple doors of the other city halls. One door is not enough.
Wild horse. :P
Wow, it still amazes me how the seasons change.
I want to send them to Uni, but I have other sims I want to experience it with.
They look similar, but I don't think Amanda is a clone of her mom.
I guess Cara is more mixed.
And hungry.
No more snow. I think I'll send them all to the Bistro. I don't feel like being bother with brunch at home.
Oh sim-lord, gotta do something about the formal wear. :P
Later--just eat.
Hey, I got a horse gnome.
And the horses are socially miserable. Geez, horse talk to each other or something.
I did try to make them socialize, but having the girls ride them is a lot easier.
And funny.
I don't think the placement of those jumps are correct. I'll have to fix that.
Ok, put the horse away. She's so happy.
The horse did all the work.
What?
Where are all the leaves? The whole point of playing them through winter was so I could clean up the lot in the spring. :P
Well, it's a good thing. There are some in the back, simply less work to do.

Hi, mw1525.
I hope it gives you some chuckles.
That's four years worth of simming there.
I too love how the seasons change. In one Sunset Valley save it took two days for the snow to melt and while letting my sims get on with their lives I just sat watching the changes.
Well...I kind of read this entire thread today..it took ALL of the day..
So much for getting back to trying out Isla Paradiso to learn the basics of the new EP
If I have to say one thing ive observed about your play...you REAALY love Bridgeport. It was nice seeing the Racket uni stuff in this thread again. I didnt know you were such a good storyteller when I commented on that thread, got new perspective.
Rebuilding Sims 2 inside Sims 3 one lot and sim at a time.
I came across Edward Hoppers Nighthawks painting and it made me think of the Industrial Kitchen set. It started me to building.
But I didn't stop there. I came up with the idea of creating a hangout lot for a Private Investigator sim. Not one of my favorite Ambitions professions, cut I thought I could really get into with a cool setting made for the sim.
I have a lot of sims that I like in Bridgeport and it's cool to see them hanging out here.
There is an office on the second floor that I use for my private eye sim.
He basically lives here even though it's a community lot. He has a home lot, but it's just for picking up mail and paying bills.
It's nice having so much activity around, but if it gets too annoying he can always go to his house.
There is a dance studio on the top floors. There isn't as much using of the ballet bar as I would like, but Melonie know what to do with it. Other sims tend to dance on the mat or socialize.
I have the restaurant set up for late hours because it just fits this game scenario.
During the day he's either working on cases, doing stake outs, or working on career related skills.
The office is his base of operations.
Bridgeport seemed the perfect city to test the lot.
No, the criminals can't see you.
There is no kitchen in the office, but he doesn't need it. He has the diner, and bananas that he keeps stashed for food emergencies.
If you use this lot, do not put anything in the office that will attract townies. They can be annoying. He has a laptop that he can put away. I will experiment with an apartment version later. I would like for a sim to have their private space, but I don't think the diner will be as active. I think there will be a tradeoff.
Here is the kitchen. I really don't notice them much because I have been so wrapped up in my sim's career and all the customers.
It's more interesting than my dance clubs. But now that I think about it, when a good group of sims drop by, I can group up with them and hit a club or a dive bar.
It's a community hangout and is uploade in my studio. I also have an unfurnished version that can be designed for whatever features you like.
Thanks everyone.
I've ranted about the Private Investigator missions, but playing again with new content from the EPs and Store has made it a different experience.
I need to try out other lots as set pieces for careers and professions. It's adds some life to the experience. I've supplemented the PI profession by having my Investigator have photography as a hobby. He takes a photo of every client and suspect, investigations scenes, and any sims from stakeouts. He also works on his social networking skills by sending text messages to his clients.
On the social scene, I want him to befriend sims in law enforcement, perhaps have one as an enemy, he should also have a frienemy in the criminal career track who can provide him with valuable information.
I haven't gotten far in the profession at all and I was having fun. I sent him on a stakeout outside the Spa/Bookstore and he saw Emmy Starr in some suspicious behavior with Andrea Reynolds, another celebrity.
U will now have my P.I. tail suspects, especially if I don't know where they live. I wasn't sure if Emmy Starr had moved, so I had him track her.
He went through her trash and took some pictures of the property. Celebrities are a problem when they have security gates and you can't interview them. You can beat information out of them though.
Andrea turned us as a suspect in the very next case. Polly Mahoney (SP?) accused her of hacking her files.
I wanted to break into the house and go to Andrea's computer, but the property was locked up tight. Even when I found a way to exploit a design in the house. He still could not break in.
So he hacked into her computer from his office.
He sent a text to Polly before meeting her in person.
I haven't gotten far into it with all the testing of the lots. I now have an apartment version up an working and I'm giving it a test run in Starlight Shores.
I love reading your stories & have been inspired to start to work over my Towns to meet the needs of my Sims and my playing style. Looking forward to seeing more of Melonie!

I'm a longtime fan, but just now getting around to reading your Uni Life story with Vael. Do you think you'll get IP and do a story?
^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^ I sure hope so I love reading his story threads
