The Sunset Valley Map Set- by XOX1-

We have been needing a map of Sunset Valley...

I am a contributor to "The Berry Sweet Nieghbourhood Project #1", and my next project is going to be "GriffCorp. International", wherein I will be completely rebuilding Sunset Valley with my own creations, and populating it solely with my own sims. I will be telling the story of my game in the GriffCorp. International project.

For the planning of both of these projects, I realized that a map of Sunset Valley would prove to be a quite useful tool.

I used my graphics editing, and cartographic skills to make one.

Camera shots come out in different scales, so I composed a set of 1 master key map, and 9 segment maps, a set of 10 total maps.

I am posting the 640 x 480s in order to not break the thread. I have provided links to the full sized 1024 x768s below. They have better detail.

It's not perfect, but I felt I should share it with my fellow Simmers...

I have also made a list of all addressed lots in Sunset Valley. I thought this would be helpful for Town Planning.-

    10-27-2009:

    OOPS!

I have been clocking the sun during gameplay since I have made this map set, and noticed the directional compass was off.

The true East to West line follows Water Lily Lane.

I have corrected the compass to show the proper directions. The current set on this post has true directions now.

For those of you who have already downloaded it, simply replacing map number 7 will correct the directions in your set.

    (640 x 480s and/or 1024 x 768s). (It's the map with the red compass on it).

I like to produce quality work.

    Sorry, and Thanks!

X0X1 - I admire that you did this and even took the time to figure out the compass directions!

I have a question, is there a reason you made the pictures overlap a bit? Or is it because it is very difficult if not impossible to line up size and layout? Just wondering.

It's great, we really need a map sometimes for planning stuff! Thanks bunches!!

Yes Sherry, I overlapped the pictures for continuity, and that it was almost impossible to retain the proper scale while I was shooting the pictures.

Thanks for asking! It was a lot of work!
